Case study of a patient with a primary diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis

Title: Case study of a patient with a primary diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis Objectives: The aim is to become familiar with the general issues of ankylosing spondylitis and in a special section to develop a case report of physical therapy care for the patient with a diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis. Methods: Bachelor thesis includes a case study of a patient with a primary diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis. The work consists of a general part, which contains a brief description of the disease and possible complications of diagnostic and therapeutic methods. In the second part - special patient case report is processed, which was created during my professional experience in Rheumatology Institute in the period from 8.2.2013 to 14.1.2013. In addressing this diagnosis was not used any invasive techniques. Results: Performed after therapy there was a significant reduction in pain and restore proper movement stereotypes. Title of bachelor's thesis: Case of physiotherapy care for patient diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis Objectives: The aim is to emphasize the use of physiotherapy as a part of comprehensive treatment of a patient with rheumatoid arthritis. The thesis includes a detailed casuistry of a patient with rheumatoid arthritis. Methods: The thesis is divided into a general part and a special part. The general part is focused on description of rheumatoid arthritis. It discusses characteristics of the disease and its division, clinical symptoms, pathogenesis, prognosis, psychological aspect, examination and treatment procedures. The Special part of the thesis presents a casuistry of a patient with rheumatoid arthritis. It includes entry kinesiological analysis of a patient with rheumatoid arthritis, subsequent therapy and output kinesiological analysis. This casuistry was prepared at the Institute of Rheumatology in Prague during the bachelor praxis in the period from 14th of January 2013 to 8th of February 2013 under the professional guidance of Eva Ištvánková. Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with dermatomyositis

Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with Dermatomyositis. Aims: A summary of theoretical background, study of comprehensive rehabilitation methodology, proposal of therapy and evaluation of its effect in a patient with dermatomyositis. Methodology: Review of literature and case study was made during practice in Instute of Rheumatology in Prague from 9. 1. to 3. 2. 2012. It has two parts. Theoretical part sumarizes etiology, epidemiology, clinical manifestation, therapy and use of physiotherapy in dermatomyositis. A case study is presented in the special part. Therapeutical approach was prescribed according to the medical history and physical examination and its effect was assessed using kinesiology analysis at the end. Results: In my patient back pain was decreased and the trunk stability was increased. Also the overall physical fitness increased as well as the stereotype of gait and endurance. Positive motivation and results of therapy the patient improved patient access to rehabilitation in general. Title of bachelor's thesis: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of patient with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis Summary: I focus on rheumatic diseases in childhoodin my thesis, especially the issue of juvenilie idiopathic arthritis. This work contains free parts; the first consists of the condition, the second is theoretical, focusing on a more detailed description of the deseases, including screening and subsenquest therapy and the third is a special part that contains a case study of physiotherapy treatment of patient with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. I worked on this case study during my month experience in the Rhematology Institute in Prague. The special part consists of the input and output kinesiological analysis, the short- and long- term physiotherapy plan, therapy suggestions and description of ten exercise units. The Case Study of a Patient after Osteoporotic Vertebral Fractures

Title of bachelor's thesis: The Case Study of a Patient after Osteoporotic Vertebral Compression Fractures Summary: The thesis consists of two parts: a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part presents a brief description of the anatomic structure, the function, the kinesiology and the biomechanics of the spine. Furthermore it deals with the issue of the osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures and the surgical and conservative treatment as well as the contemporary methods of the physiotherapy. The practical part is a case study. It includes an anamnesis of a patient, an entrance kinesiology analysis. The aims and the methods of the physiotherapy were set on the basis of this analysis results. The bachelor's thesis provides a description of the course of the individual therapeutic units, an output kinesiology analysis, and a therapy efficiency evaluation. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is the case study of a 65 years old patient with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures. The therapy efficiency evaluation shows the improvement of the patient's health condition. The pain reduction of the patient might be considered as a significant achievement.
