Use of field social service emergency care

The bachelor's thesis entitled USE OF THE FIELD SOCIAL EMERGENCY SERVICE is intended to find out how seniors, people with disabilities and people in direct danger of life are satisfied with the service offered and in what way the emergency care service affects their quality of life and how it helps their families. The theoretical part deals with the concept of quality of life and life satisfaction of seniors and people with disabilities with their specific needs. The practical part describes, in detail, the Social emergency service of Anděl Strážný, registered office in the Liberec region. It is based on the practical knowledge and experience of the author from the mentioned social service. It highlights the importance of thinking about every detail of the service provided, because even thesmallest detail of the individual setting of the service can decide to save human life The bachelor's thesis includes three case studies of clients, evaluation of their satisfaction with the offer of the emergency care service of Anděl Strážný. The results are compared with the outputs of other research projects in the Czech Republic.
The needs of women who became unintentionally pregnant: unintended pregnancy as a social problem.

The theoretical part introduces the topic of human needs, values of life and pregnancy. The key concepts are pregnancy as a social event and an overview of the possibilities of support and help for women. The aim of the practical part is to find out the needs of unintentionally pregnant women. The qualitative research uses methods of content analysis of written texts. The main part is the analysis and interpretation of the acquired data and practical recommendations.
The influence of TV series on the perception of nurses' profession.

The aim of this work is to examine the influence of Czech TV series on the perception of the nursing profession. Emphasis is placed on clarifying the role of television series as a source of information about nursing care. Main focus of this work is to find out, on a set of health care professionals and non-health care workers, what source of information is most often used for obtaining information about health care. It is also discussed how people in the Czech Republic perceive nursing care in Czech TV series and whether there are work-related, social and demographic factors that influence the opinion on the care in TV series. The theoretical part describes the most important Czech TV series depicting the profession of nurses, in terms of action and how they depict work clothes and nurses' visage. The historical development of nurses' uniforms is also described. The practical part is realized in the form of an analysis of a questionnaire survey. Based on hypotheses, the objectives of the work are discussed and the results are compared with analogous studies abroad. Overall, the thesis highlights the missed opportunity in educating the public about the profession of nurses. Social Care in Camphill Community. Forces Eroding Social Care

This bachelor thesis is focused on camphill communities located in the vicinity of Scottish city Aberdeen. The aim is to describe the effect of negative factors formulated by theoretician Robin Jackson on social care provided by camphill Cairnlee House. The thesis is consisting of theoretical and empirical parts. The beginning of the theoretical part is dedicated to general concept of community work at first. Then the describtion of camphill community follows with its principles, ideas, history and important persons behind. In the empirical part the camphill community Cairnlee House is investigated. The negative effects of factors formulated by theoretician Robin Jackson are discussed. In addition a concept of new forces is suggested based on observation, which have negative impact on the community. Keywords Community work, camphill, camphill movement, social care.
Factors influencing the family's decision to accompany the dying person in the home environment

This thesis deals with the issue of care for the dying in the home environment. The theoretical part, which consists of three chapters, deals with palliative and hospice care with a focus on home hospice care. It also addresses the needs of the dying and especially the family, which is of unreplaceable importance in the care of the dying at home. It discusses the motives for providing care, the pitfalls associated with care, and the help and support needed for caregivers. The practical part is contained in one chapter and is based on qualitative research, which analyzes the information obtained from semi-structured interviews with caregivers. The aim of the thesis is to discover what factors influence the family's decision to accompany a dying person in the home environment.
Community work at church

This bachelor thesis covers the topic of community work in churches and aims to show how we can use community work in an ecclesiastical environment, which values community work brings to the ecclesiastical environment and what can be achieved with community principles. This thesis is comprised of a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, this paper describes the basic concepts and principles that are essential for community work and then applies this knowledge to the church environment. The practical part provides an examination of the congregation of The Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren in Prague 8 - Kobylisy and evaluates community activities from the point of view of the congregation's key personalities involved in them. The research is qualitative and was conducted through interviews.
