Geopolitical evaluation of Latin America from perspective of local geopolitical production in Spanish speaking countries, missing voice in global arena at the beginning of 21. century
Jandová, Veronika ; Romancov, Michael (advisor) ; Krausz Hladká, Malvína (referee)
The work deals with the geopolitical evaluation of the development in Latin America through local geopolitical production of Spanish-speaking countries. The aim is to draw attention to the missing voice of Latin America in the global arena at the beginning of the 21st century. The thesis focuses firstly on the formulation of examined hypotheses and the definition of the studied area, and clarifies basic concepts and definitions. After the theoretical introduction and familiarization with the key concepts, the thesis moves into the area of Latin America where the thesis introduces the geopolitical development from both theoretical and practical point of view. The thesis aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current geopolitical dynamics of the region. According to the established hypothesis, it aspires to either refute or confirm whether Latin America is able to deal with several internal problems and establish itself in the international system at the beginning of the millennium.
Spatiotemporal analyses of avalanches and their reconstruction by the mean of tree-rings of Norway spruce (\kur{Picea abies}) in the Giant Mountains National Park.
JANDOVÁ, Veronika
Various dendrochronological methods for avalanche reconstructions was applied on tree-ring records of dominant Norway spruce (Picea abies) in the Giant Mountains National Park. The individual growth chronologies from studied avalanche paths (Pramenný důl, Navorská jáma, Pančavská stěna, Velká Studniční jáma and Úpská jáma) proved that climate is the main driving factor of intra-annual variation of tree growth. Traumatic resin ducts are formed with delay up to 5 years. Combination of two and more tree-ring characteristics is suitable for reconstruction of avalanche events. I achieved to reconstruct undocumented avalanches. I conclude that dendrochronology is suitable tool for avalanche reconstruction; however, high pollutant emission highly reduced the potential of gained results.

The role of participants and theirs strategies in the process of democratization: Spain 1975-1982
Jandová, Veronika ; Buben, Radek (advisor) ; Koubek, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor thesis aims to describe and evaluate the roles of individual actors, in other words how their activities influenced in the political matters between 1975 and 1982. The application of classical transitologic theories to the case of Spain contributes to deduce the conclusion whether Spanish transition completes o not the idea about continual transition through the pact. The crucial points of my work are devoted to the position of King Juan Carlos and the Prime Minister Adolfo Suárez. Further on I analyze their political steps that became one of the fundamental elements of the democratization process of the regime and helped to get such peaceful and successful change done.
Development of pre-mathematical and mathematical imagination of preschool children with visual impairment
JANDOVÁ, Veronika
The topic of this bachelor thesis is 'The Development of Pre-mathematical and Mathematical Ideas In Children with Visual Impairments During Pre-school Age'. It is divided into a theoretical and a practical section. The theoretical section consists of five chapters. The first chapter describes visual impairments. The second chapter characterises a pre-school child. The third chapter is focused on the specifics of the development of a child with a visual impairment during the pre-school age. Next chapter comprises the upbringing and education of visually impaired pre-school children. The last chapter studies pre-mathematical and mathematical ideas and concepts. The main goal is to further develop the already existing part of 'School Educational Programme (SEP)' for special pre-school care for visually impaired concerning pre-mathematical and mathematical ideas and concepts into specific activities. This aim implies three partial ones. The first partial goal is to discover, via observing children, which part od SEP should be further developped. The second is to invent activities with aids suitable for the development of pre-mathematical and mathematical ideas in children with visual impairments during the pre-school age. The final is using these activities in practice. To achieve these aims, three research questions are posed. In the practical segment of this thesis, a method of quantitative research was used. A technique used to collect data needed for the realisation of the research was observation of the kids with the mentioned disabilities and also a semistructured interview with pedagogues. A technique of data analysis was used to process the obtained information. An analysis of personal documentation of chosed kids was done. Part of the practical section was also attending a direct work with visually impaired kids. The research took place in the kindergarten 'Mateřská škola pro zrakově postižené v Českých Budějovicích' since January until March 2016. The target group was formed by children and pedagogues of a special kindergarten for visually impaired. The results of my bachelor thesis are two new activities with aids oriented on development of pre-mathematical and mathematical ideas. Based on observation, it was found out that both activities with aids help to develop specific cathegories, that is fine motorics, visual perception, thinking, memory, speech, geometric shapes, orientation on the surface, numeral sequences. In addition, the second activity with aid develops tactile perception, orientation in the picture and encourages cooperation in the group. Research shows that both activities with aids are helpful for children with visual impairments. During the first activity, the children were fulfilling tasks according to a preciseguidelines. Children were naming geometrical shapes, trying to orientate on a surface, and while doing so, they were practicing concepts related to orientation in an area. In the second activity with an aid, the children were trying to embrace shape-related features of objects, colors and matherials, while creating a picture. On randomly selected cards with tasks they were observing graphic images of numbers, trying to orientate on surface and to create a picture, developping verbal skills, practicing numeral systems and sequences, understanding the concept of numbers and their quantities and assigning a symbol on a cube to written numbers. Upon verification of those activities with aids in practice, it is obvious, that they are suitable for the development of pre-mathematical and mathematical concepts. During the research it was found out, how the attention of children during the activities was affected by motivation, surroundings and also the time of them working with the aid. Newly created aids will be left in the kindergarten "Mateřská škola pro zrakově postižené v Českých Budějovicích". These activities with aids can also be used in ordinary kindergarten or by parents.
One-parent families and households in the Czech republic
Jandová, Veronika ; Langhamrová, Jitka (advisor) ; Dotlačilová, Petra (referee)
The thesis handles the topic of families and households from the point of view of EU-SILC, Statistika rodinných účtů and also Sčítání lidu, domů a bytů, especially from the year 2011. It discribes kinds, types of families and households and what is possible on basis of gained information about each family and household see on national as well as international level. Another part of the thesis is focused on definition of poverty limit and it´s impact risks on particular family types mainly in Czech households. On the base of previous development, the future development tendency of number and structure of households and families is mentioned and is expressed by three projections concerning the household development.
Analysis of tree growth on avalanche slopes in the Krkonoše Mts.
JANDOVÁ, Veronika
I applied dendrochronological methods to reconstruct snow avalanches in the Krkonoše national park. Tree-ring analyses are based on samples from Norway spruce (Picea abies),which is dominant species growing on selected avalanche slopes (Pramenný důl, Navorská jáma and Pančavská stěna). Mean growth curve were constructed for chosen localities and two different approaches were applied (detection of growth release and occurrence of resin ducts) for avalanche reconstruction.
