Lean Six Sigma application to solve problems occurring during brand changes in production in Philip Morris CR, a.s.

The goal of this Master's Thesis is Lean Six Sigma application to solve problems occurring during brand changes in production in Philip Morris CR, a.s. In the first part of this thesis there is described the Lean Six Sigma methodology, which draws from current world literature. Moreover the thesis describes the company Philip Morris, production of tobacco products in Kutná Hora and there is high level process description of cigarette production. In the thesis there is thorough description of process brand change, 7 measurements of this process on different types of machines, analysis of these measurements. In case there are problems identified there is the counter action to solve them designed. At the end of the thesis there is evaluation if the goals described in the introduction were achieved.
Internal Process Audits in the automotive industry

The bachelor thesis is focused on internal audits of the production process at Johnson Controls Interiors Czechia s. r. o. . The main objective is to analyze the progress and meaning of an audit in accordance with standards and observe major deficiencies to make sure that audits are implemented effectively. In the theoretical part the importance of the automotive industry for the Czech Republic is mentioned, also consists of information about ISO 9001:2008 and ISO/TS 16949:2009 and deeper insight into the subject of internal audits with the use of 6M. Knowledge is used in the practical part. In the end of the practical part there is a new proposal of catalogue of questions for the company JCI, which would increase the effectiveness of the evaulation and progress of audits.
Information security and risk management in a particular company.

The aim of the thesis is to apply the methodology of qualitative risk analysis according to ISO/EC/27005:2011 and to increase awareness of existing threats and impacts on information assets and to create possible security precautions to minimize identified threats in a particular company. The thesis is divided into five chapters. Introductory chapter explains the basic concepts of information security and risk management in the organization that are necessary for understanding of the principles and the importance of information security. The second chapter deals with the international standards aimed at information security and briefly describes ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27002 and ISO/IEC 27005. The following two chapters form a smooth transition from the theoretical to the practical part. The third chapter characterizes selected company and describes the current state of information security in the company. The fourth chapter forms the methodological apparatus of qualitative risk analysis, compiled in accordance with ISO/IEC 27005:2011. It also contains a list of relevant threats, to which an asset of the company is exposed. The last chapter is conducted to qualitative risk analysis, together with the draft of the precautions to minimize the risks. The practical section shows that by the implementing the proposed action the company will reduce existing risks to acceptable levels and will significantly improve the protection of information assets.
Analysis and optimization of selected business processes in the concrete company

Primary objective of this thesis is identify the actual causes of the problem in the organization and subsequently create the most appropriate measures for its elimination. In the first part of thesis basic approaches which deal with changes in organizations are introduced. These approaches are Process Management, Reengineering, Six Sigma, Lean management and Root Cause Analysis. Some of the principles and methods introduce especially in the Root Cause Analysis are then applied during suggestions development in the practical part of the thesis. The second part begins with the introduction of the company and the main problem that the company faces is defined. It is thereafter followed by analysis of the current state which uses a detailed rendering of ongoing processes identifies a critical issue. Based on these findings are diagnosed possible real causes which possible individual solutions are formed. After evaluation of individual proposals that solution is selected which leads to the largest increase in efficiency. In conclusion the specifications of the selected solution are created and evaluated its contributions.
Management of Occupational safety and health and fire protection in the headquarters of UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia, a.s.

This thesis deals with the issue of health and safety at work and fire protection, focusing on the management system for the company UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia a.s. The first part of the thesis is focused on defining of the related legislative regulations in are of OSH and FP in the Czech Republic, on related terms, analytics methods used in this area and on the specifics of Open Space offices. The second concentrates on the basic information about the company itself and to the analysis of processes and established procedures dealing with OSH and fire protection in the company. The aim is to map management practices in OSH and FP management, uncovering any shortcomings and proposal for acceptable corrective action. There were used internal company guidelines together with the data from the investigation carried out on a sample of 100 employees for the purposes of this thesis.
Risk analysis of quality management system: production of beer

The objective of my final thesis is to ascertain the occurence of the most frequent risks during production of beer and the aplication of risk analysis methods in concrete brewery. The text deals with description of risk analysis and is aimed on HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points). The outcome of the text is to evaluate starting position of HACCP in concrete brewery and to make suggestion of improvements. Furthermore, there is a comparision with other and much bigger brewery in my final thesis.

Corporate Social Responsibility in the banking sector

The aim of this Master's thesis is to analyze the system of Corporate Social Responsibility in the banking sector, to propose some measures for solution of identified deficiencies and ways of evaluating the effectiveness of implemented activities. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts related to the issue of Corporate Social Responsibility, presents its basic characteristics and principles, related and often confused concepts and arguments for the acceptance or rejection of the concept into business practice. There is also described the situation in the Czech Republic and also in selected countries of the European Union. The practical part analyzes the system of socially responsible activities in Česká spořitelna, a.s. and deals with a proposal of specific indicators of implemented activities, which can allow the organization to monitor their effectiveness.

Master's Thesis concentrates on Corporate Social Responsibility and ways of implementation this concept according to selected standards. The objective is to propose specific ways of implementation of the CSR to selected company in furniture industry. The sub-objectives are to conduct a thorough analysis and assessment of current CSR activities and next in making a specific proposal of activities, which can be realized in terms of CSR concept. This thesis has been divided into two main parts practical and theoretical. Theoretical part has been based on basis of the summary information from the technical literature data. Practical part was based on interviews and personal meetings with a variety of emloyees from selected company. Final evaluation and proposals have been drawn up by comparison of theoretical knowledge and gathered information.
Evaluation of Corporate Social Responsibility Reports according to evaluation model “Národní cena ČR za CSR” in chosen company

Aim of the Marter's Thesis is to evaluate the level of CSR reporting in the company Plzeňský Prazdroj, a.s. according to evaluation model "Národní cena ČR za CSR", i.e. by methodology KORP, and to determine company's strengths and weaknesses. After this analysis the Thesis provides recommendations and suggestions for improvement which could be helpful not only for the opportunity of participating and gaining "Národní cena ČR za CSR" award. The whole Thesis aims to provide the company a new and independent evaluation of its Corporate Social Responsibility according to another CSR evaluation methodology than currently used by Plzeňský Prazdroj, a.s. to open up new possibilities for future.
