Design of Experimental Stand for the Study of Railway Vehicles Sanding
Galas, Radovan ; Hruška, Marek (referee) ; Šperka, Petr (advisor)
Presented master’s thesis describes the design and the implementation of an experimental device used for the study of tribological aspects of wheel-rail contact. In this work, the reader will first learn the fundamentals such as adhesion, slip, traction curve, etc. Subsequently, the work is describing devices that are used for the study of wheel-rail contact around the world. This section is followed by the author proposed solution. The result is a twin disc device in the scale of 1:3. The device allows determining traction characteristics for different environmental conditions (presence of water, sand and oil in contact for different temperatures) and various operating parameters (contact pressure and speed). A part of this work are also the validation experiments and complete design documentation.
An Experimental Research of Sanding in Wheel/Rail Contact
Machatka, Martin ; Hruška, Marek (referee) ; Omasta, Milan (advisor)
Presented master's thesis is focused on the experimental research of the sanding parameters in order to improve adhesion in the contact between wheel and rail. Sanding is the application of the sanding material directly in the wheel/rail contact. It is still common, most effective and traditional way how to deal with low adhesion problem, which is mainly caused by environmental contaminants. Research is important for the better understanding of the sanding process and also provides data, which are necessary for it's optimization and efficiency improvement. Newly developed twin-disc machine was used to carry out the presented experimental research. The influence of common contaminants on the adhesion is investigated, considering various operating parameters. Different amount of the applied sand is used to increase adhesion in the contaminated contact at various slip and rolling speed. Results show, that there is the amount of the sand, from which no significant adhesion increase occur. Obtained findings and the results presented in this thesis will be used to optimize sanding system, which will contribute to reduce cost associated with sanding and low adhesion.
Easements
Hruška, Marek ; Lederer, Vít (advisor) ; Frinta, Ondřej (referee)
Easements Abstract The aim of this thesis is to provide readers with a comprehensive view of the legal institution of easements. Thus, easements are analysed not only in the context of the existing legal regulation, but also in the context of their historical development. The aim of this thesis is also to analyse the points of contention in the existing legal framework. To this end, the readers of this thesis are offered relevant expert opinions on the controversial issue. These opinions are supplemented, where appropriate, by the opinion of the author of this thesis, who also gives his view on the issue. Relevant case-law is continuously offered in the thesis to supplement the analysis of the individual sub-aspects. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the definition of the legal institution of easements, with which the thesis further deals. The second chapter of the thesis is devoted to the historical development of easements. Attention is paid in particular to Roman law, which is the ideological basis of servitudes. This chapter also examines the regulation of easements in the General Civil Code of 1811, which was the first comprehensive regulation of easements in the Czech territory, and the Civil Codes of 1950 and 1964. The third chapter concerns the current legal...
The Czechoslovak-Soviet Relations durign the Second World War and the Role of Zdenek Fierlinger
Hruška, Marek ; Horčička, Václav (advisor) ; Němeček, Jan (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with Czechoslovak-Soviet realtions and influence of czechoslovak ambassador in USSR Zdeněk Fierlinger had on their formation. Its aim is to properly describe the course of events between 1939 and 1945, which most affected the specific nature of diplomatic relations between Czechoslovakia and Soviet Union during the World War II and to evaulate how much Zdeněk Fierlinger intervened in these events. The secondary aim of the thesis is to characterize the diplomatic activity of Zdeněk Fierlinger, to verify or refute the common idea that he was a traitor of the state and finally to find out whether his political and diplomatic steps were motivated by the vision of personal gain or ideological causes.
Soviet Union and the Komintern in the History of the KSČ, 1929--39
Hruška, Marek ; Horčička, Václav (advisor) ; Koura, Jan (referee)
In this bachelor thesis I deal with the role played by the Soviet Union and Comintern in the history of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (CPC). For a better understanding of this issue, I chose a time period beginning in 1929, the year of Klement Gottwald's appointment as General Secretary of the Central Comittee of the CPC and ending in 1939, the end of the independent Czech-Slovak Republic. Nevertheless, I do not avoid explaining some of the events that took place before that time. I mean, the establishment of the CPC, the brief history of the Comintern, and the relations between the Comintern and the CPC just before Gottwald's entry into the post of General Secretary. I think that by comparing some differences between the CPC before and after 1929, I will get a better explanation of the causes and consequences of these changes. For the examination of the period 1929-1939, I choose several events, during which the working of the CPC, Soviet Union and Comintern has intersected the most. I am referring to the year 1929 during which the V. meeting of the CPC took place and Klement Gottwald gave his first speech in Rudolfinum, the Bolshevism of the CPC, the rise of the Nazis in Germany, and the reaction of the Communist Party to it, the 1935 Czechoslovak-Soviet Treaty, the Spanish Civil War, the...
