Modeling and simulation of public investment project risk

The results of the investment projects are dependent on the quality of project preparation in the pre-investment stage and well-executed implementation. High-quality preparation of the projects, their evaluation and selection of require key risk factors and uncertainties, the impact of these factors on the results of the project and consider measures on their elimination or reduction. The purpose of the risk management of the project is therefore in advance to know the sources of possible threats to the project and to prepare measures that would lead to a reduction in the potential impacts for the project to an acceptable value. The basic aim of project risks management is then increase the likelihood of their success and to minimize the risk of such failure, including their rejection of the venture project too, which could threaten the financial stability of the investor and lead to its decline. The thesis is focused on the examination of the different approaches to identification of risks and uncertainties and their subsequent evaluation on investment project of public corporations, including the impact of the preparation of the project on its own implementation and subsequent operation. At the same time they recommended possible measures to reduce the risk of this project in terms of their costs and the size of the risk reduction. Part of the work is also an analysis of the risks and benefits of the projects planned, realized and terminated by The South Moravian Region and the draft Project Risk Register and the Project Opportunities Register, where appropriate, the risk management process for The Regional Authority of The South Moravian Region.
Evaluation of Economic Efficiency and Risks of Developer Project

The subject of the diploma thesis is economic evaluation and risk assessment of investment projects. The theoretical part deals with the life cycles of the construction, the characteristics of the development project, its investor and the risks associated with the implementation of the project. The output of the diploma thesis is the elaboration of economic evaluation and risk assessment on a selected development project.
Investment project in the municipality

This thesis deals with the issue of the municipality's investment plan. The theoretical part first explains what public contracts are and how they can be financed in practice. In the theoretical part of the thesis, individual methods for evaluating the effectiveness of public investments are also described in detail, and the issue of investment planning is also approached. In the practical part, a case study is prepared, the aim of which is to characterize the selected investment plan in the village Jeneč, to determine the socio-economic impacts on the development of the village and finally to evaluate the influence of the selected investment on the development of the village.
Valuation of Economic Risk of Investor in Realization of Investment Project

This thesis is focused on assessing the economic risk for the investor in the implementation of the investment project. An investor's decision on the implementation of the project depends on the economic feasibility analysis identified outputs, these outputs are burdened by economic uncertainty, which raises the risk. Therefore, it is necessary to manage risk. The process of risk management consists of a phase of risk analysis and risk management phase. In the analysis phase is to identify risks, assessments of materiality and risk measurement. In the phase of risk management risks identified evaluate and establish measures to prevent their occurrence or impact.
Economic Evaluation of Projects in Road Infrastructure in the Czech Republic and Slovakia

This diploma thesis deals with the problems of economic evaluation in road infrastructure projects in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In the analytical part the methodology in both countries is solved, diversity is analyzed and in the end the searched differences are assessed. On the basis of results, recommendations are presented. The practical part is concentrated on the proper differences that are further included in the methodology. The general evaluation of advantages and disadvantages of the economic assessment method and suggestion of possible adjustment of the method in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia had been the result of the work.
Analysis of Socio-Economic Effects of Transport Infrastructure Construction

Bachelor’s thesis is focused on analysis of socio-economic effects of transport infrastructure construction. The aim of the thesis is to analyse which of the variables of input quantity has the greatest effect on the economic efficiency of the public benefit project in the transport sector. The analysis is performed by using cost-benefit analysis. Analysis is calculated for the decision-making process of choosing a project for possible implementation. The work discusses in detail financial and socio-economic cash flows in the calculation of criteria economic efficiency indicators.

Economic Efficiency Evaluation of Green Roof Construction

This bachelor thesis bearing the name Evaluation of economic efficiency of green roof construction, focuses on the description of the economic evaluation of the efficiency of green roofs, the course of the construction life cycle ond the effectiveness of public projects. The work is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the description of the history and present of the development of green roofs, their division and financing options. The second part of the bachelor thesis case study describes a modular building located in Rozdrojovice. This part focuses on its valuation and construction costs. The case study contains three model roof solutions, which are described in detail and compared.
Evaluation of Efficiency and Risks of Private Construction Project

The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the effectiveness and risks of a private construction project. This work is divided into two parts. The first part is a theoretical part, which defines the basic concepts associated with investment as such, but also directly with investment in real estate and construction investment. In the second part, this work deals with risk assessment, determination of their size and finally risk management. The end of the theoretical part is the elaboration of methodology for the practical part. The beginning of the practical part the work is devoted to the description of the construction area and specification of the building itself. In the next part are set investment costs, operating income and expenses. Operating income consists of the lease itself. This was determined on the basis of similar investments in the area. Operating expenses are divided into fixed and variable where only fixed are included in the evaluation. Subsequently, the work establishes the profit and loss statement and therefrom the cash flows. The second part defines the risks associated with the construction of the project. The switching value is then calculated for critical project risks. The end of the practical part is devoted to risk management. The conclusion summarizes the results of individual parts of the thesis and a written recommendation for the investor whether to realize the project or not.
Economic Evaluation of Project Carried out on Municipal Level

This bachelor thesis described an economic evaluation of a public investment project which was implemented at the municipal level. The theoretical part focused on induction to the problem by explanation of basic concepts, presentation of various possible methods for evaluation of public projects, and overview of possible ways to finance the project at the municipal level. The practical part evolved a case study which examined an economic evaluation of ‘sokolovna‘ reconstruction in a village ‘Kobylí‘, followed by determination of requirements to gain critical variables efficiency and critical input values from the investor's point of view.
