Analysing of the design of the opening mechanism for the floor hatch
Metelka, Jiří ; Houfek, Martin (referee) ; Fuis, Vladimír (advisor)
In a family house not far from Brno, there is an entryway hole for getting into the space under the floor. The hole is covered by a high weight concrete hatch. For easier manipulation with the hatch an opening mechanism was designed and manufactured. This mechanism had been installed under the hatch and nowadays it works well. This master’s thesis deals with description of main components of the mechanism and their function. Load analysis and stress-strain analysis are the major part of this thesis. At the end of this work the analysis results are commented and some suggestions for further research are proposed.

Blahút, Lukáš ; Houfek, Martin (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
Primary aim of work is to develop a computer program for calculating the deflection of the rotors of electrical machines. Introductory section describes the simple deflection and possibilities of calculating it. Further, there is defined magnetic pull and his impact on the calculation of shaft deflection. The theoretical part is completed by a detailed description of the method of transfer matrices. The practical part deals with the creation and description of the program created in C++/CLI. Each part is described in terms of user and programmer. In conclusion, prime example is evaluated by created program and given results of calculation are discussed.

Influence of turning point stiffness on stress state and deformation of the frame
Kalová, Miroslava ; Houfek, Martin (referee) ; Suchánek, Miroslav (advisor)
The main purpose of this bachelor’s project is to solve state of stress and deformation of the flat frame in addiction to the stiffness of the corner. There are two ways of solving this problem. The first one is based on elasticity of the wand theory. The second one is using software Ansys Workbench 11 which is able to define displacement and maximum stress for different radius of fillet corner.
Design and Development of Experimental Device for Testing the TEP Acetabula and Wear Identification using Optical Method
Houfek, Martin ; Kratochvíl, Ctirad (referee) ; Hortel, Milan (referee) ; Hlaváčková, Milada (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
Today is the implantation of joint replacements, although a radical, but very functional restoration frequent way ill joint. The implants are placed high demands on their biocompatible and long-term function, which is directly related to wear of joint replacements in the human body. Therefore, analysis of the complex behavior of the implant in the human body is a fundamental problem of biomechanics of implants. This issue is dedicated, this dissertation thesis. Dissertation thesis deals with the solution design and development of experimental device for testing the TEP acetabula and wear identification using optical method. The proposed device allows the joint burden hole TEP physiological manner, but by working with the acetabulum burdened by Power resultant joint axis passes through the hole. The physiological loading of articular wells and evaluating the size of the loss of polyethylene is currently intensively addressed. The results of this study may in the near future, serving as information for assessing the conduct of wear prosthetic hip joint in vivo. The work is devoted to solving the problem of the size required to detect the loss of polyethylene for joint replacement arthroplasty: Design and development of experimental equipment for testing the acetabulum of the hip joint arthroplasty. Identify wear using optical methods. Design and development of experimental equipment was made in the system Inventor Professional 2010 at the level of 3D modeling. Great attention was paid to the design fit into the acetabulum TEP testing machines and gripping the acetabulum into an optical device. Management options were tested with combinations of experimental equipment engines. Suggestions were made and then tests for fixing the acetabulum into an optical device. Has the possibility of depth analysis and identification of wear joined with innovative solutions to evaluate the loss of polyethylene acetabulum arthroplasty. Identification of abrasion (loss of polyethylene) joint arthroplasty holes were carried out experimental measurements using an optical holographic interferometry. The comprehensive analysis of the results of experimental measurement of the loss of polyethylene shows that this method can identify both the size but also an area where there is even to small changes in the surface, which depend on the abrasion. One can also say that using this method we are able to affect the will or displacements that affect the size of the loss of polyethylene in joint arthroplasty hole. Despite the number of known and lessons learned arising from the results of solving the problem of design and development of experimental equipment for testing the acetabulum and hip arthroplasty wear identification using optical methods, this work is that the initial study to identify problematics wear of joint replacements. Complete resolution of this issue is beyond the scope of one doctoral thesis.
Determination of geometric characteristics of curved beam
Foukal, Jakub ; Houfek, Martin (referee) ; Benešovský, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on creating a algorithm for determining geometric characteristics of curved beam. In the first part, formulas are taken from technical literature. These formulas are then modified and used for implementation of algorithms. In the following section, there are two algorithms for determining the curvature of a curved beam and comparison between their calculated values. The concluding part focuses on an algorithm for calculating the cross-section characteristics from random image format. The algorithm of cross-section characteristics is analytically verified.
Development of dental implants.
Selingerová, Simona ; Houfek, Martin (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
Research of Development of dental implants dissert about development, history and classification of dental implants. Simultaneously includes abstract of materials and their surface modification used in dental implatology and explanation of notions like osteointegration and biocompatibility. Description of dental implants with the view of biomechanics is adumbrate concisely.
Modal analysis experimental method verification
Pop, Miroslav ; Lošák, Petr (referee) ; Houfek, Martin (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of operational modal analysis, which is one of the newer areas of structural dynamics that makes it possible to estimate modal properties of structures directly during their operation. The aim of this work is to create theoretical basis of operational modal analysis, more specifically of Frequeny Domain Decomposition method. Furthermore, apply this method to a selected structure and verify the achieved results using computational modelling and experimental modal analysis. The technique of dividing the experiment to separate measurements using reference sensor was used. Evaluation of the operational modal analysis was performed using self-created function for the MATLAB software and using the commercial PULSE Operational Modal Analysis software. Obtained results were verified by computational modelling and experimental modal analysis.
Analysis of the influence of the material model on the mechanical properties of plastic composite parts
Hudeček, Jan ; Poul, Ondřej (referee) ; Houfek, Martin (advisor)
This master thesis deals with computing of mechanicals properties of parts of headlamps. Parts of headlamps are defined with two different material models, linear material model and material model from Moldflow method. The problem is solved by computational modeling with finite element method using Autodesk Moldflow Insight, Ansys 17.2 and Ansys 18.2 with included Moldsim tool. The outputs are calculations of mechanical properties and comparison of both material models.
Design of docking station for mobile robot
Obšil, Tomáš ; Houfek, Martin (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is design of docking station for an autonomous mobile robot Breach. The task of docking station is to connect this robotic device to power supply without human intervention in order to charge its batteries. The theoretical part of diploma thesis contains research study about autonomous charging of robots. After that it is assessed suitability of using different types of docking stations and it was chosen optimal solution. The practice part of diploma thesis contains design of docking mechanism, which takes account of inaccurate navigation of robot with deviation of several centimeters. One part of this design deals with connector system, which is dimensioned for long-term transmission of electric current with minimal value of 20 A. At the end of diploma thesis there was created 3D model of the complete docking station including connectors for charging in program called SolidWorks.
