Srovnání účinnosti vybraných systémů hnojení na produkci a kvalitu pšenice ozimé
Horký, Jiří
The aim of this diploma thesis was to evaluate the influence of different fertilization options on the yield and quality of winter wheat grain and the profitability of its cultivation. Among the qualitative parameters, the content of nitrogenous substances, gluten and sedimentation value were monitored. The research took place in the form of a one-year semi-operational field experiment in the Jabloňov area, Vysočina. The following five fertilization variants were included in the experiment: LAV as control, urea, DASA (ammonium nitrate with ammonium sulfate), Urea stabil (urea with urease inhibitor) and ENSIN (ammonium nitrate with ammonium sulfate and nitrification inhibitor). The results show that the fertilization variants had no effect on the size of the yield. The effect of nitrification and urease inhibitors and sulfur fertilizers on grain quality parameters was also inconclusive (compared to the LAV control). A significant increase in quality parameters was noticed when comparing fertilizers with inhibitors and their equivalents without inhibitors. The ENSIN variant contained 4,3 % more nitrogenous substances and 8,3 % more gluten than the DASA variant. The Urea stabil variant contained 8,2 % more nitrogenous substances, 9,5 % more gluten and achieved a 12,2 % higher sedimentation value than the urea variant. Economically, the DASA variant turned out to be the best option. Fertilizers with inhibitors had a rather negative effect on the economics of cultivation
Srovnání produkčních parametrů kukuřice a čiroku pro energetické využití
Horký, Jiří
This thesis focuses on two different kinds of crops, corn and sorghum, and deals with their application for energy purposes. The first part consists of botanical classification and a description of morphology of both crops, their classification into subspecies and agrotechnical procedures used in their production. The second part concisely deals with biogas, the history of its usage, the principle behind its creation and usage, technological lines for biogas production and the yield of biogas production when using corn and sorghum substrate. The third part gives a description of cultivation economy of these crops. The conclusion then links the findings of all the parts and deduces the economic aspects of the production of each crop.
Improving efficiency of HEP applications
Horký, Jiří ; Zavoral, Filip (advisor) ; Falt, Zbyněk (referee)
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) located at CERN, Geneva has finally been put in production, generating unprecedented amount of data. These data are distributed across many computing centers all over the world that form the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid (WLCG). One of the main issues since the beginning of the WLCG project is an effective file access on the site level in order to fully exploit huge computing farms. The aim of this thesis is to explore existing data distribution work flows, standards, methods and protocols. An integral part of the work is the analysis of jobs of physicists to understand input/output workloads and to discover possible inefficiencies. Then, new upcoming solutions are evaluated in terms of performance, sustainability and integration into existing frameworks. It is expected that these solutions will be based on distributed file systems such as NFS 4.1, Lustre and HDFS.
Network activity monitor for higher traffic
Horký, Jiří ; Obdržálek, David (referee) ; Forst, Libor (advisor)
Aim of this work is to design and implement real-time network monitoring application for higher traffic. Application will be intended for network administrators, who can't or don't want to monitor network directly, using active network equipment such as routers or switches. One of main e ort would be to minimalize system resource requirements - application should be usable on common server hardware. Application will allow to con gure amount of captured data (ports, MAC addresses) and thus lower the statistic data size. Integral part of this work will be graphical frontend enabling to e ectively observe captured data and statistics in the form of user-de ned charts and tables. Application will be programmed in C language and it will be aimed to UNIX systems.
