Quality of life people with hearing impairments

The thesis concerns with the quality of life of the individuals with hearing impairment. The thesis is divided into four major parts consisting of subchapters. First major part focuses on general description of the sense of hearing, auditory analyser and difference between these two terms as well as on the classification of the individual auditory impairment types. The next part provides general description of life quality according to various criteria. The last theoretic part focuses on everyday life of aurally impaired individuals. This chapter specifically refers to education and employment of individuals with hearing impairment. A chapter relating to social environment and leisure time is also included. Theoretic part of my thesis is followed by the results of my survey. Two different questionnaires were used aiming at two different groups of survey respondents. Partial conclusions were drawn from each questionnaire survey. The questionnaires mentioned were elaborated in accordance with interdisciplinary division of life quality as well as with subjective perception of quality of life. Corporate Social Responsibility with focus on Google Inc.

The purpose of this master's thesis is to evaluate the current CSR practice in the Czech Republic. The means to achieve this will be the analysis of a specific CSR project of a selected company. The reason is the character of socially responsible activities, which become of importance only after their realization. Google Inc., specifically Google's local branch Google Czech Republic, was chosen to serve as an example. In general, Google Czech Republic is highly active in the field of CSR and Digital Garage has been one of its most distinctive projects so far. It is a free online learning program that offers the opportunity to gain knowledge in online marketing The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter deals with definition and history of CSR, the second describes the main nonbusiness subjects supporting this concept and the third focuses on the evaluation of the current CSR practice in the form of the Digital Garage project.

Contemporary situation of the senior citizen consumer in the Czech Republic

The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to assess the current position of the Czech pensioners in society and especially their roles as consumers. It is divided into two chapters, which look at this issue from both theoretical and practical point of view. The first chapter starts with defining the term senior, followed by an outline of the current status of senior citizen as a member of society. Considering the main theme of the thesis there is also attention to focus on his economic position. The second part of the chapter is exclusively devoted to the subject of consumer protection with a focus on senior citizens consumers. It defines the basic reasons why they become victims of unfair business practices so often. The claims are then demonstrated by pensioners themselves in in-depth interviews. The final part of the chapter is devoted to the historical development of consumer protection laws, with an emphasis on changes made in the recent past. The second chapter consists of a questionnaire survey that the nature of the work requested and which significantly contributed to reflect the actual state of affairs.
