Lifelong education for adults with mental disabilities
Horáčková, Markéta ; Šiška, Jan (advisor) ; Zemková, Jaroslava (referee)
My thesis deals issue of lifelong learning of adults with mental disabilities. The target of the thesis is to determine " what benefit has lifelong learning for adults with mental disabilities." There is defined issue of mental retardation in the thesis. And also described system of education of people with mental disabilities. Other chapters are focused on lifelong learning for all and on the quality of life of people with mental disabilities. In the next section of the thesis I would like to introduce the Studio Oáza and their activities. I am making research investigation through interviews with adults with mental disabilities in this institution. I chose two research questions to finding target of my thesis: 1) What is reason of visiting of clients' courses in the Studio Oáza and what benefits have these courses for them? 2) What feelings the clients have in the society other people and during the courses in the Studio Oáza?
Motivation in the classroom
Horáčková, Markéta ; Kargerová, Jana (advisor) ; Stará, Jana (referee)
The thesis deals with the issue of motivation in the classroom. In the theoretical part, the work defines psychological and pedagogical terms concerning the chosen topic and explains the relations between the terms. This work further offers a range of manners, methods and strategies in order to motivate pupils by meeting their needs. It shows the reciprocal dependence and connection between the motivation and the other areas in the process of teaching (edutainment methods, classroom organization, evaluation, class atmosphere, etc). The empirical part is carried out by the method of action research. The aim is to construct a lesson which activates and motivates the pupils and in this way to increase the efficiency of the lesson. The research is based on the constructivist concept of teaching and it employs the teaching methods offered by the program RWCT, which extensively contributes to the positive motivation of the pupils.
Taxonomic characterization of new Halorubrum isolates from hypersaline soils.
Horáčková, Markéta ; Jílek, Petr (advisor) ; Konečná, Klára (referee)
Candidate: Markéta Horáčková Title of diploma thesis: Taxonomic characterization of new Halorubrum isolates from hypersaline soils. Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biological and Medicinal Sciences University of Sevilla, Faculty of Pharmacy Department of Microbiology and Parasitology Study program: Pharmacy The aim of this work is to continue in taxonomic characterization of new strains of the genus Halorubrum isolated from hypersaline soils from Paraje Natural Marismas del Odiel, Huelva, Spain. These Archaea are micro-organisms that require high salt concentration in their environment. With the characterization started Ana Durán Viseras last year and I participated on continuation of this characterization. To complete phylogenetic study we performed MLSA of rpoB gene of each sample to create phylogenetic trees. Based on results of the phylogenetic study we inferred that studied strains could constitute new species. We determined the guanine plus cytosine content in DNA and also carried out phenotypic studies as important part of the taxonomic characterization of the new species.
Vasorelaxant activity of selected metabolites of quercetine on isolated rat aorta
Horáčková, Markéta ; Vopršalová, Marie (advisor) ; Pourová, Jana (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradech Králové Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology Candidate: Mgr. Markéta Horáčková Supervisor: PharmDr. Marie Vopršálová, CSc. Title of rigorous thesis: The vasorelaxing effect of selected quercetin metabolites on isolated rat aorta Quercetin with its metabolites belongs into wide group called flavonoids, which are polyphenolic secondary metabolites of plants. This work, that is part extensive research ongoing in Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology of Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, is focused on selected metabolites of propionic acid. In theoretical part I included characterisation of flavonoid group and their pharmacological effect. I also described morphology of blood-vessels and mechanisms of regulation of systemic circulation, because this work is about effect on blood-vessels. In experimental part we observed vasorelaxation effect of selected metabolites on isolated thoracic aorta of strain Wistar rat first. We compared effects of tested metabolites with quercetin, which was also included in experiment. As the most efficient metabolite was found 3-(3-hydroxyphenyl)propionic acid (3-HPPA). Its vasorelaxing effect was about one order bigger than quercetin and its other tested metabolites. 3-HPPA was selected for the...
