Using diffusion techniques in the study of hydrogels
Holubová, Anna ; Žitňan, Michal (referee) ; Mravec, Filip (advisor)
Properties of colloidal systems, especially hydrogels, were studied using the method of fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS). Hydrogels were prepared based on hyaluronan and cationic surfactant CTAB interactions. The proposed hydrophilic fluorescent probe, suitable for the study of phase-separated hydrogels in polymer-surfactant systems, was chosen ATTO 488 due to the suppression of triplet state. As a hydrophobic probe was chosen Nile Red. Individually were examined micellar systems of 10 mM CTAB and 0,5% sodium hyaluronate in water and 0,15 M NaCl in different concentrations of selected fluorescent probes. Subsequently the hydrogel systems were studied. The results showed that the measurement of hydrogels by this method is realizable. Short lifetimes were created by a complex probe and CTAB causing quenching and low levels of diffusion coefficients characterize the viscous environment of study system.
Monitoring of the influence of selected synthetic preservatives on the stability of cosmetic emulsions O/W
Holubová, Anna ; Vítová, Eva (referee) ; Zemanová, Jana (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis collects available information on commercially supplied cosmetic preservatives Sensiva PA 20 (ingredients by INCI: phenethyl alcohol, ethylhexylglycerin), Euxyl K 900 (ingredients by INCI: benzyl alcohol, ethylhexylglycerin, tocopherol) and Euxyl PE 9010 (ingredients by INCI: phenoxyethanol, ethylhexylglycerin) from German company Schülke & Mayr, especially with regard to the assessment of their potential influence on the stability of cosmetic emulsion O/W. Subsequently, based on the literature review, selected methods were applied, their combination may prospectively serves to required evaluation of the influence on the stability of studied preservation systems.
The influence of esters of glutaric acid to the selected acrylic and alkyd coating systems
Holubová, Anna ; Ing. Eva Molliková, Ph.D.,Paed IGIP (referee) ; Tulka, Jaromír (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is a study and description of a mutual interaction of solvents belonging to the green solvents group, specifically glutaric acid esters and selected acrylic and alkyd coating systems. In the experimental part of this thesis there is a study of a resistance of the coating systems to solvents by the spotting method, which is subsequently then combined with an adhesion experiment of the coating film by the cross-cut test. Those experiments are made according to matching methods in valid version.
Diffusion of organic molecules in the hydrogel environment
Holubová, Anna ; Sedláček, Petr (referee) ; Mravec, Filip (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with study of hydrogels formed by phase separation of hyaluronan with oppositely charged surfactants cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and Septonex. It follows the bachelor thesis and extends the knowledge about the detailed characterisation of the inner environment of the hydrogel by determining the diffusion behaviour of the fluorescent probes Atto 488 and Nile Red using fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) technique and its modified version dual-focus fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (2f-FCS). Compared results showed that both methods show similar values and probes specifically interact with CTAB but Atto 488 shows only weak interaction with Septonex compared to Nile Red. Additionally, these interactions were not affected by the molecular weight of hyaluronan. In conclusion, it was recommended to measure this type of hydrogel in a small depth of gel using a conventional method.
Overnight Sleeping in the Large Landscape Protected Areas: The Relation Between Conservationist and Bivouacking Subject
Holubová, Anna ; Kuřík, Bohuslav (advisor) ; Peřina, Vlastimil (referee)
This thesis deals with the conflict of nature and the landscape protection with recreational use of nature. This conflict is examined in relation to "conservationist subject" and "bivouacking subject" in the context of ecogovernmentality, i.e. the shift of nature to the government sphere. The aim of this thesis is to introduce more of cosmology of nature protection, besides the dominant one - conservational, and to understand their relation. The thesis is divided into two parts - a theoretical part and an empirical part. The theoretical part is devoted to the theory of subjectivity and the concept of ecogovernmentality in the context of chosen ethnographic studies. The empirical part is dedicated to ethnographic research of bivouacking subjects. The results of the research are based on the comparison of data acquired from the ethnographic research with abstracted figures of "conservationist subject" - as defined by visitor rules of the protected areas and the law of nature and landscape protection and "bivouacking subject" - made by stays in nature or scout education. The result of this thesis is the discovery of similarity of both subjects, which in large extent overlap, however not completely. Bivouacking subjects get into conflict with tourists, against which they delimit themselves, rather than...
Influence of environment on morphological and stuctural characteristics of European snails
Holubová, Anna ; Juřičková, Lucie (advisor) ; Horsáková, Veronika (referee)
In this thesis, I explored the relationships among morphological characteristics of European land snail's' shells, their environment and life strategies. I assembled a database of morphological traits, characteristics of the environment and life strategies of land snails from literary sources. This file was merged with unique dataset from field sampling along a latitudinal gradient through Europe and the morphological characteristics of each species were averaged on real populations from particular sites. This package was analyzed by multivariate linear regression (GLM). In this work I demonstrate that the color pattern is affected by latitude and occurs mainly in gastropods with wider shell. Wide shell also appears mainly in snails with a smooth shell surface and shallower suture. Snails at lower altitudes mostly have calcified shell lips. A snail species with teeth in the mouth of shell, with ribs on the shell surface, and larger relative height of the shell, live in areas with higher calcium content in the leaf litter. Deep sutures on the shell are more frequent in shells from sites with higher rainfall seasonality. Especially in areas with higher rainfall seasonality we can find less gastropods with periostracal structures on the shell, however, their occurrence increase in areas with canopy...
Orgins and History of the Czech Chrismas Music
Holubová, Anna ; Tichý, Radek (advisor) ; Pšenička, Martin (referee)
The thesis deals with the Czech Christmas spiritual music, wants to point out and pick up her beauty, popularity and popularity across the public and in the circles of the Church and in the wider public. The method is the research the available literature and handouts for this topic, which is evident in the Division of the individual chapters. The introduction will include music and history of music. In the next part we will spend Christmas spiritual music, we close its emergence, history, Christian context, familiar carols and songs and their lyrics with a spiritual focus, some of the selected authors and their works both from the past and from the present. We also in our surroundings, to learn more about the Christmas music of our neighbors, or some European countries. In the next part of the main chapters refer to the positive influence of the Christmas music on the evangelization of pastoration and also on Ecumenism - attitude to Christmas music in some churches, and on its place in the broader public. The conclusion should answer the question of why is Christmas music and in particular the Czech Christmas music so much popular and popular among both artists and in the Christian churches and the public, with an interference fit and why it appears almost as a phenomenon. Keywords Christmas,...

Shape, surface and microstructural characteristics of landsnail shells and theirs function.
Holubová, Anna ; Juřičková, Lucie (advisor) ; Bogusch, Petr (referee)
Snails are popular group of invertebrates which intrigues people with their shell. Land snail shells take a variety of shapes and colors, their surface is covered by various surface structures. Shape of the shell is often afected by the environment in which snails live. Elongated shells are found on snails crawling along vertical surfaces, however snails with flattened shells crawl primarily on a horizontal surface. Keeled snails often hide in cracks in the rocks and under stones. Just as the shape is affected by the environment, so can the environment affect the surface structure and microstructure of the shell. We can find a snail with a shell that is covered with hairs in a humid environment and snails with thick periostracal layer in acidic one. The findings summarized in this thesis can be helpful to paleontological reconstructions of the environment, and in morphological identification of recent species by their shells.
