121 9. Summárý Purpose: This study was designed to evaluate the role of interventional radiology in liver transplantation programme. The aim is to present our experience, technical outcomes and long-term clinical results with chemoembolization of hepatocellular carcinoma in patients before liver transplantation and with percutaneous treatment of vascular and biliary complication after orthotopic liver transplantation. Methods: Twenty five patients (17 men, 8 women, mean age 57.76 years) with HCC were scheduled for TACE prior to liver transplantation from 2008 to 2012. Twenty three procedures were performed, 7 c-TACE in 2008 and 16 DEB TACE in next years. Thirty patients (13 men, 17 women, mean age 46.4 years) with biliary strictures after liver transplantation without endoscopic access possibility were treated with balloon dilatation and biliary duct drainage from 1996 and 2010. Twenty patients (13 men, 7 women, mean age 45.25 years) were treated with PTA/stent due to hepatic artery stenosis after liver transplantation between 1996 and 2011. Stents were placed to the hepatic/celiac artery in 16 PTAs, balloon dilatation alone was performed in 7 stenosis due to tortuosity of the vessel. Results: Liver transplantation was performed to 20 patients after TACE. Only one patient (4.5 %) was excluded from waiting...

Percutaneous radiofrequency ablation in the treatment of the renal tumors Aim: To retrospectively evaluate the technical success, mid-term and long-term efficacy and safety of radiofrequency ablation in patients with the renal tumors and integrate this method into present therapeutic template. Material and method: Between February 2006 and October 2013 totally 91 radiofrequency ablation procedures in 64 patients for 68 tumors of size 12 - 60 mm in largest diameter (median 27 mm) were performed. These ablations were done under the guidance of computerized tomography, in 5 cases was used the CT flouroscopy technique. We treated 41 males and 23 females, age 52 - 85 years (median 76 years). Main indications were solitary kidney tumors (14 cases) and tumors in non-surgical candidates (54 cases) due to high risk of general anesthesia. All the procedures were performed using standard technique of self-expandable multitined instruments in only local anesthesia and conscious sedation, which was done by anesthesiologist. The following-up of the patients after the ablations was based on regular imaging, clinical and laboratory examinations. In cases with residual tumorous tissue the reinterventions were performed. Results: The total follow-up period was 4 - 92 months (median 51 months). In 50 tumors (73,5 %)...

Overview of imaging methods used in dentistry and their availability in Prague
Vávra, Michal ; Mazánek, Jiří (advisor) ; Hořejš, Josef (referee)
This work tries to compare the availability of intraoral and panoramic X-rays in dental offices in Prague with the situation in the rest of the Czech Republic. With the help of the questionnaire examines in detail the sixty randomly selected dentistry in Prague, whether they are owners of the intraoral or panoramic X-rays in their practice, how many registered patients they have and which technical devices they use are using to diagnose dental caries. The first hypothesis was confirmed. In Prague, on average, are more radiological devices per patient and the imaging methods are more available. The second speculation about the use of bite-wing projection and other methods to diagnose early carious lesions was not confirmed. Of those sixty respondents, only 12 percent of dentists admitted to use this methods.
