Manufacturing of a Segment of the Seat Positioning System
Horák, Jan ; Peterková, Eva (referee) ; Řiháček, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is focused on the design of technology for the production of a seat positioning system made of sheet steel ČSN 11 373 with a thickness of 2 mm. Due to the adjustment of the production quantity of 200 000 pieces per year, the required dimensional accuracy and surface quality of the cutting surface is used by the technology of production of fine blanking with a pressure edge. Part of the work is the implementation of technological and construction calculations, including the design of the cutting tool with the necessary drawing documentation. An alternating arrangement of cut-outs for a coiled sheet metal blank (Ds = 1 200 mm, ds = 500 mm) is chosen as most suitable in the work, which means the use of 36 coils for a given annual production. In the final part of the work, a three-acting hydraulic press Feintool HFA 8800plus is chosen for the production of the component, which is incorporated into the automated production line FBA 6/300, including all necessary equipment for handling, unwinding and straightening the cut sheet metal strip.
Processor controlled backup power supply
Hořák, Jan ; Štraus, Pavel (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This thesis describes the design of a processor controlled small battery backup power supply. The aim is to design a device which can recharge many kinds of mobile devices with a battery capacity up to 2Ah. The main control element is a microprocessor that records operating data of the power supply and stores in onto an SD card. Portability and durability were taken into account during the design. The result is completely designed and build a backup power supply, including program for its microcontroller.
Graphical Editor of Simulation Models
Hořák, Jan ; Hrubý, Martin (referee) ; Peringer, Petr (advisor)
This paper contains brief introduction into modeling and simulation using Discrete Event Specified System (DEVS) formalism. It defines basic models (atomic and coupled DEVS) and shows how they are simulated. Examples of derived DEVS formalism like parallel DEVS or DESS are also presented. It is described how to create DEVS models using graphic modeling software and advantages and disadvantages of this approach. A short summary of known programs are also covered. Storing models in the XML language, validation of XML document and transformation capabilities by XSLT are discussed. The main section is dedicated to the design of a graphic editor for simulation models inspired by design patterns including classes for canvas, model representation, export module interface and main application. The XML document used for storing DEVS models and simple DEVS simulator are also described. Implementation section presents used programming libraries, reasons why they have been used and their advantages and disadvantages. Paper ends with an example of a simple DEVS model created by implemented graphic editor for simulation DEVS models.
Management System of the Scientific Web Portal Generator
Horák, Jan ; Vyskočil, Michal (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
This BSc Thesis analyses possible ways to control distributed computations, describes analysis, conceptual design and implementation of the Management system of the scientific web portal generator. The management system connects other parts of application, allows users to control long-running computations and to change its priorities.
Semi-Automatic Image Segmentation
Horák, Jan ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This work describes design and implementation of a tool for creating photomontages. The tool is based on methods of semi-automatic image segmentation. Work outlines problems of segmentation of image data and benefits of interaction with the user. It analyzes different approaches to interactive image segmentation, explains their principles and shows their positive and negative aspects. It also presents advantages and disadvantages of currently used photo-editing applications. Proposes application for creating photomontages which consists of two steps: Extraction of an object from picture and insertion of it into another picture. The first step uses the method of semi-automatic segmentation GrabCut based on the graph theory. The work also includes comparison between application and other applications in which it is possible to create a photomontage, and application tests done by users.
Control of Stepper Motors in Closed Loop System
Hořák, Jan ; Vochyán, Josef (referee) ; Dřínovský, Jiří (advisor)
The theme of this thesis is the design and optimization of algorithms for controlling stepper motors with feedback by measuring the BEMF. The emphasis was on self-management stepper motor current depending on the load. To verify the algorithm was designed and built sample devices with integrated circuit NCV70514 from ON Semiconductor. The result is a sample device, the control program and algorithm to control a stepper motor.
Brand Development of the selected Company
Horák, Jan ; Fait, Petr (referee) ; Chlebovský, Vít (advisor)
This master’s thesis analyses a brand of selected company Engineering Test Institute, public enterprise (SZU), which offers services of testing, inspection and certification. Theoretical part of the thesis is focused on literature research of marketing and branding theories. The key part is the analytical part, which contains a detailed analysis of the current state of the brand "Engineering Testing Institute". The thesis also contains a questionnaire survey focused on both the internal environment of the company and its customers. The research is followed by a final part with possible suggestions on how to further develop the brand.
SQL Backend for Subversion
Horák, Jan ; Křivka, Zbyněk (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis analyzes version control system Subversion and its available backends for storing data in a repository. It compares these backends and describes basic features of a new SQL database backend. Design and implementation of the new backend, based on MySQL database, is described and the new backend is then compared with existing backends BDB and FSFS.
Surface Reconstruction from Point Clouds
Horák, Jan ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Hulík, Rostislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the reconstruction of the surface from point clouds. It describes the design, implementation and tests of method based on the detection of planes and Delaunay triangulation. The application allows to reconstruct the surface in the form of a triangle mesh.
Medieval society and landscape, their reciprocal relationship and influencing
Horák, Jan ; Klápště, Jan (advisor) ; Lisá, Lenka (referee) ; Gojda, Martin (referee)
1 Jan Horák Medieval society and landscape, their reciprocal relationship and influencing Dissertation English abstract Introduction Archaeology is a discipline focused on human. And although we can find many specialisations in it, like medieval archaeology or environmental archaeology, we should not forget the possibilities of stepping out of these specialised ways or of binding them together. Archaeology can also contribute to the knowledge about us and about our own society. The ways in which medieval people have dealt with nature offer many interesting possibilities of ideas and concepts, which are applicable not only on archaeological methods, but also on a reflection of us. This study aims on topic of a relationship between medieval society and a landscape with example of the relationship with soils. This choice is based not only on an importance of the soils for medieval people, but also on the importance of soils in archaeological research. The soils are an archive of archaeological information and are also one of the most used explanatory factors of environment oriented interpretations. But these interpretations often lead to inconsistent and wrong results. This study is therefore aimed also on a critique of archaeological methods. To make such critique possible - as to evaluate archaeological...
