The possibilities of physical exercise in relation to the metabolism after spinal cord injury
Olišarová, Eva ; Hlinková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Kříž, Jiří (referee)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to summarize the information about the possibilities of the physical exercise in individuals with the spinal cord injury. The work presents various types of the physical activity and describes their effect on metabolism and body composition. It also includes the information about the frequency, the duration and the intensity of exercise. The interruption of the somatomotor and somatosensory pathways in patients with spinal cord injury leads to the reduction of their physical activity. As a consequence of that, their metabolic profile and body composition get worse. Early after the injury, the patients suffer from the massive muscle atrophy and the rise of the amount of adipose tissue. These changes have a negative effect on metabolism of lipids and carbohydrates. It results in the development of dyslipidaemia and insulin resistance, sometimes even in type 2 diabetes mellitus. These secondary complications worsen the quality and the length of life of the patients with the spinal cord injury. Better understanding of these issues is necessary to improve the quality of health care for these people. The work includes a short questionnaire. Its goal is to describe the current situation of patients with the spinal cord injury in the Czech Republic. The questionnaire was...
Reliability of "Muscle excitability scale" for spasticity assessment in patients with spinal cord injury
Kadrmanová, Ivana ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor) ; Hlinková, Zuzana (referee)
The aim of this paper was to define interrater reliability of "Muscle excitability scale" in assessment of lower extremities muscle spasticity in patiens with spinal cord injury. Raters were two students of 2nd grade of master study of physiotherapy. Testing was performed at Centrum Paraple o.p.s. and 48 patients took part in the research. Except the Muscle excitability scale, Modified Ashworth scale, Penn spasm frequency scale and Clonus scale were also assessed. Percentage rate of agreement and also value of kappa coefficient that state value of agreement between raters were assigned for each scale. Percent agreement for Muscle excitability scale was 54,2 % for right and 64,6 % for left lower extremity. Kappa coefficient and therefore interrater reliability of this test was assessed on 0,38 on the right side and 0,51 on the left. The results and thein comparison with other used scales are discussed in this thesis.
Validity of "Muscle excitability scale" for spasticity assessment in patients with spinal cord injury
Posseltová, Tereza ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor) ; Hlinková, Zuzana (referee)
The aim of the thesis was to assess a construct validity of "Muscle Excitability Scale" in assessment of spasticity in patients with spinal cord injury. The correlation between this scale and other clinical tests evaluating various aspects of spasticity was investigated. 48 participants with symptoms of a spasticity were included in the study. The Spearman rank correlation coefficient was used for quantification of correlation between each two tests. The most significant correlation was found between the Muscle Excitability Scale and the Modified Ashworth Scale (rs=0,26 - 0,35, p<0,05). Less significant correlation was found in comparison with the Clonus Scale (rs=0,27, p<0,05) and with the SCI-SET (rs=0,25 - 0,26, p<0,05). There was no correlation between the Muscle Excitability Scale and the Penn Spasm Frequency Scale. Additionally every test was compared to each other and then the outcomes was discussed and compared to results of other similar studies. Effect of exercise with Flexibar in paraplegics
Dušková, Tereza ; Hlinková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Špaňhelová, Šárka (referee)
The aim of this study was to demonstrate that exercise with a oscillatory poles FLEXI- BAR ® for paraplegics has a positive effect on strength, the force endurance, stability and proprioception. The theoretical starting point is the supposed positive effects of vibration training on the human body. The training was attended by 14 subjects, who thirty minutes a day for four weeks, doing exercises with Flexi-Bar ® as a single methodical series of exercises. The effect of therapy was evaluated by hand-grip test, inclination test, a modified 6- MWT test and a test of target point. The hypotheses were confirmed, the results of all tests was statistically significant.
The influence of hallux on stand and gait stability
Hlinková, Zuzana ; Valouchová, Petra (advisor) ; Bitnar, Petr (referee)
The diploma thesis "Vliv palce nohy na stabilitu stoje a chůze" is focused on the function of hallux at stance and through the gait cycle and particularly to halluxes influence on stability of the stated motor stereotypes. The theoretical part summarizes the knowledge gained through literature research on anatomy and kinesiology of hallux. It also contains analysis of gait cycle and muscle coordination through it with emphasis upon activity of foot and function of hallux muscles. The practical part attempts to objectivize changes in stability and changes of loading of foot with instrumental examination. Force plate Balance Master® and GaitPlatform FDM were used for the measurements. On the force plate the parametres of movement of the centre of mass (COM, COG) and maintenance of stability while standing were compared. GaitPlatform® was used for measurement of ground reaction forces while standing and walking. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Analysis of chosen travel agency offer
Hlinková, Zuzana ; Petrů, Zdenka (advisor) ; Voříšková, Barbora (referee)
The goal of bachelor's thesis "Analysis of chosen travel agency offer" is to prove the hypothesis that a travel agency's offer is influenced by the agency's size. The goal will be achieved by analysing and comparing offers from small, medium and large sized travel agencies. The first chapter will define basic terminologies related to tourism and travel agencies. The second chapter will be dedicated to characteristics of small, medium and large sized travel agencies. The criteria used to evaluate the offers will be documented in chapter three. The fourth chapter will analyse and compare the offers. In the conclusion of the thesis, the hypothesis will be proved by several criteria and disproved by several others.
