Evangelization at the Holiday Camp for Adolescents

The thesis deals with the questions concerning evangelization among young people. The author explains basic terms of this field first and then on the basis of the church documents she defines criteria of evangelization activities aimed at the youth. As an example of such activities she describes holiday camp ENTERcamp for adolescents, which is organized by the Catholic Church. The aim of the evangelization camp ENTERcamp is to show the values of living gospel in a way that is suitable for the changing needs and desires of the youth today. The target group of the camp are young people at the age of 15 - 23. The author analyses the camp programme from the point of view of pastoral theology and recommends further steps that could improve the impact of the camp and deepen the experience of its participants. The author offers the results of her analysis to the organizers of the camp and to all pastoral workers who are involved in the evangelization activities for the youth
The Last Judgment in the Language of Art

This thesis called The Last Judgement in the Language of Art focuses on the topic of the Last Judgment in art. Jesus` apocalyptic speech, which can be found in the Gospel According to Matthew (Matthew 25:31-46), is the basis for this theme. The thesis tries to approach one of the eschatological topics from the point of view of The Bible, the church doctrine and fine arts while examining their interrelationship and interconnectedness in the quest for the truths of faith. The thesis aims to juxtapose the conceptions of the topic of the Last Judgement according to the Gospels, church theology and three concrete artistic interpretations, and to describe their mutual influence. The text is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter refers to the biblical sources of the topic and deals with it in the context of church dogma. The second chapter focuses on the area of fine arts and explores its forms in the context of Christianity. The final chapter includes an analysis of three artistic interpretations of the Last Judgement as rendered by Giotto di Bondone, Hieronymus Bosch and Michelangelo Buonarroti. All interpretations of the artworks are included as attachments and can be found at the conclusion of the thesis.

The bachelor thesis titled The Interpretation of Selected Poems of St. Therese of Lisieux in Relationship to the Contemporary Man aims to try to find the sense and the contribution of the poems composed by St. Therese of Lisieux for everyday life of a today's man and further the comprehension of the Christian spirituality. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part deals with the life of St. Therese of Lisieux, focusing on her childhood, events of which projected into her later life. This part is further pointed on her family, on her inexplicable disease, the sudden healing through mercy, and on her time at Carmelite convent. The second part is focused on the interpretation of selected poems written by St. Therese. The poems are interpreted through the explanation of the main themes included in them with an effort to reveal the benefit for the current people and the understanding of the Christian spirituality. The reader is acquainted with the circumstances of the composition of the poem and the interpretation is made with help of several resources. The main contribution for the contemporary man is seen especially in the topic of the double commandment of love and further the topic of a man created according to the image of God (the Imagio Dei principle) and the Eucharist. Questions concerning evil and suffering are those, which people ask the most often. What is their reason and purpose. The authoress seeks the answer with the aid of the book Job from the Old Testament. At the beginning she acquaints us with the book and analyzes its individual parts. She takes notice to the reflection of the story of Job in theological literature as well as in fine arts. The book of Job depicts with evil and suffering. Authoress therefore afterwards thinks of these terms in a wider connection. According to her, no simple answer likely exists. The Annunciation of Birth of Jesus According to the Luka ́s Gospel in Italián Renaissance and Baroque Painting

The subjekt of this paper, The Annunciation of Birth of Jesus According to the Luka ́s Gospel in Italián Renaissance and Baroque Painting, tries to present a whole view of the Gospel text and its artistic interpretations in two different periods. In the same time, this paper offers a historical survey and show how changes in the artistic presentation depend on changes in the society. Changes had influences on the artistic presentation of the teme of Annunciation. In the first step the present work comments on the gospel text of Annunciation of the birth of Jesus. In the second step in describes main historical events in the period between 14th and 17th century, as well as changes in the society, church and arts. On that basa then the paper carefully interprets four Italian renaissance painting of Annunciation by Fra Filippo Lippi, Lenonardo da Vinci, Tizian and Tintoretto, and two Italián baroque paintings by Caravaggio and Orazio Gentileschi. The Beatitudes of Jesus nad the Personality of the Socio-Pastoral Worker

Bachelor thesis "The Beatitudes of Jesus and the personality of the socio-pastoral worker" focuses on Jesus' Beatitudes and their practical impact on the personality and conduct of socio-pastoral worker. The core of the work consists of biblical exegesis of Jesus' beatitudes (Mt 5,1-12) according to various commentaries on the Gospel of Matthew. Their biblical interpretation is summarized in the section entitled Executive Summary. Practical applications are then derived from the biblical exegesis. Each of the Beatitudes showed some stimulating challenges and inspirations for socio-pastoral workers, the list of which is not definite, because God's word forms and inspires each person in its individual way. The most important practical impact of Jesus 'message for the personality and actions of helping worker remains its internal transformation in the spirit of Jesus' message, growth to the fullness of being and to the image of Jesus Christ.
