The Image of Jan Hus in the Early Modern Czech Literature

The work The Image of Jan Hus in the Early Modern Czech Literature tries to map different ways of description of this Czech preacher in selected literary texts from 15th to 18th century, to capture the changes which his image underwent. The chosen authors come from different countries and use different languages, represent different environments, social classes and opinion groups, they also have different education and religion. Individual literary works were assessedby means of comparing the key episodes that are either repeated in the texts, or the author intentionally did not use them. To understand the image of Jan Hus as a whole, also contemporary iconography was taken into account , which in some cases has been taken from other literary texts than those which were compared, so that the image of Hus whereas complete as possible. The comparison of the texts and iconography showed, how accurate the observation of the described scheme was and how the image of Jan Hus was gradually changing. The combination of written and iconographic material from specific time intervals allowed us to observe the gradual change of conceptions of the personality of Jan Hus and events connected with him, because the authors represent the opinion of their ethnic group and time. It focuses on the description of the manuscript, orthography and the problems that the editors had to deal with when creating the edition (working with space, structuring the text, limitations of readability).\n

The paper focuses on a manuscript songbook of folk songs by (miller) Antonín Francl from the second half of the 18th century. It presents the origin of the edition of the text, also it concentrates on the description of the manuscript and its orthography.
Bohemian Year in the Kindergarten

The thesis analyses the bohemian oral tradition with respect to national culture and typical characteristics of oral tradition, in particular, of folk poetry and prose. Relevant archival materials were also examined. Furthermore, the thesis deals with influences and possibilities of use of oral tradition in kindergarten, especially which educational areas contain oral tradition, how the encounter with literature can affect the pupils and also concrete aspects of use of folk poetry and prose. Important part of the thesis is a dive into the oral tradition collection Český rok (Bohemian Year) and research of its authors (collectors) Karel Plicka and František Volf as well as its illustrator Karel Svolinský. The thesis also contains a practical application - the use of Český rok collection in kindergarten teaching by presenting a weekly educational unit with focus on the topic spring.
Church regulations in practice on the example of chosen female monasteries of Czech lands at the turn of the Middle Ages and Early Modern Era

The diploma thesis is devoted to the abbess focusing on her spiritual and secular duties, on the powers in the administration of the convent and in the care of the nunnery property at the turn of the late Middle Ages and Early Modern Era. For describing the ideal conception of the post of the abbess the study uses legislative regulations of various levels: the statutes and rules of women's contemplative and mendicant religious orders as welll as the decrees of the Council of Trent. On the example of three selected women's monasteries of three different orders - the Benedictine convent of St. George at Prague Castle, the Cistercian nunnery in Pohled, the monastery of the Poor Clares in Panenský Týnec - illustrates how the real influence of the Mother Superior differs from the ideal one. The text is based on an exploration of the written archival materials of the monasteries, from which were selected individual cases, that illustrate what the abbess had to deal with. According to the regulations, the authority for solution disputes inside the convent should be the Prague Archbishop, the King of Bohemia and his officers on property matters, but the archival sources show that secular and ecclesiastical law was very often intertwined. Objectivization of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization effect on foot supporting function using Senno Gait device

The thesis evaluates the immediate effect of one therapeutic unit that using Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) on the foot support function. The aim of the experiment was to verify effect of a single DNS therapeutic unit would to the determined parameters. The main expected effect was the optimization of the dynamic function of the foot and achieving better stability during the stance phase of a gait cycle. Methods: For the study, the asymptomatic group of 30 probands aged 24-36 years, 10 men and 20 women was selected. Fifteen probands were randomly divided to two groups - fifteen experimental group and fifteen to the control group. Subjects enrolled in the experimental group were measured before and after one forty minute therapeutic unit of DNS concept. The control group underwent two measurements at the same time interval, but without the therapeutic unit. The Senno Gait instrument was used for measuring. It contains insoles with motion sensors. It collects the data at a 100 Hz sampling rate for 1 minute while walking at its own normal speed. Results: Compared to initial examination, the significant shortening of the standing phase in the left lower limb (p = 0.003) and in the right lower limb (p = 0.034) was observed. Correspondence of abbess Dorothy from Krumlov

The article focuses on Dorota from Krumlov and her activity in the posts of abbess of two convents – the convent of Poor Clares in Panenský Týnec and the Benedictine convent of Saint George in the Prague Castle. It describes the historical context and explains the possible transfer of abbess among the monastic communities. The largest space is dedicated to the linguistic analysis of the remaining letters of Dorota from Krumlov from the both convents – through phonology and morphology gets to the stylistic level.

The assets od the Poor Clare Monastery in Panenský Týnec since its founding until the beginning of the 17th century

The article describes the properties, which belonged to the convent of Poor Clares in Panenský Týnec from the time of its founding to the first third of the 17th century. Information are found in documents, that are deposited in the National Archive, from the liber citationum, from the Land tables and marginal from the literature. The article describes selected property disputes, which abbess of the convent in Panenský Týnec led with secular lords, convent subjects or with priests and chaplains.
Monastery of Poor Clares in Panenský Týnec from the foundation to the end of the independent existence

The work The Convent of Poor Clares in Panenský Týnec maps the history of the female convent since its beginning in the end of 13th century until the year 1782, when the monastery was abolished by the reforms of the Joseph II. The focal point of the text lies in the processing of archival sources, primarily the missives of the abbesses and the responses to the different personalities on them. These materials were divided by the source-analyse into the property matter and the ecclesiastical service. These processed circuits the work tries to bring into the wider historical context. Marginally the text concerns also the unfinished convent temple, which attracts attention by its magnificence and because of him became a township Panenský Týnec very famous tourist and "esoteric" locality in the present. The bachelor's work devotes also the second live of the convent in the regional literature. It processes work of Václav Beneš Třebízský and in the particulars is demonstrated, that the writer, who is considered as the author of the historical prose, uses the monastery with its history only for the free inspiration.
