Contact of the child in substitute family care with his biological family

(in English): The main objective of this thesis is to map out the options of the contact and communication, of a child placed in foster care with their biological mother, to determine risks as well as advantages and opportunities, which both a child and a foster family would gain out of maintaining a contact with the child's biological mother. The goal is to find out whether potential risks associated with such a contact are possible to be addressed by our social system. For this purpose, I discussed this subject with social workers of agencies for the social and legal protection of children, social workers of other associated organisations and foster families. The theoretical part is the basis for the following practical part. Current state discusses foster family care, legal treatment of a child's contact with their biological mother while being placed in a foster family, forms of a possible contact with a biological mother, as well as problematics of attachment behaviour associated with the contact, and importance of the influence of both blood related and foster family in terms of development of a child's personality and experiences. Needs of intervention center workers at work with persons threatened by domestic violence

Diploma thesis "Needs of intervention center workers at work with persons threatened by domestic violence" defines basic concepts in the theoretical section that relate to topic - violence, abuse, domestic violence, violent person, threatened person, expulsed person, expulsion. The thesis also defines characteristics of working with threatened persons and the status of intervention centers in the system of services. Besides that, it deals with the authorization of the institutions that provide support and help to threatened persons. In detail talks about social service - intervention center - focusing on its mission, target group, the statutory duties and interdisciplinary cooperation. Experience from abroad, that was originally the source of inspiration for building the intervention centers in the Czech Republic, is surveyed. The practical section presents the results of the research that was focused on the intervention centers workers in Czech Republic. Screening of high-risk senior citizens - cooperation between the healthcare social worker and general practitioners for adults Social work in healthcare

This diploma thesis is dedicated to the topic of social work in healthcare. It deals directly with the possibility of linking this with primary healthcare within the framework of cooperation between general practitioners for adults and healthcare social workers. The theoretical part clarifies not only the concepts and aspects related to ageing, but also the health characteristics of senior citizens and the social impact of age-related diseases. These theoretical topics are complemented by two case reports from practice. Qualitative research enabled the views of general practitioners for adults to be understood and interpreted through semi-structured interviews. The interviews specified not only their perceived position and standard practices, but also the set conditions and points of friction on the borderline between healthcare and provision of social services in care for the elderly in their private practices. Help for traumatized children in the Czech republic

(in English) This bachelor thesis deals with the way of helping traumatized children that they receive from organizations for vulnerable children or families throughout the Czech republic. The theoretical part pays attention to different types of therapies, methods and techniques of working with children with trauma. The practical part then points to the meaningful use of these methods in real life. It includes qualitative research in the form of semi-structured interviews with social workers from various organizations, social services and some psychologists/therapists who willingly answered all the prepared questions related to this topic.
The Role of a Social Worker in the System of Therapy of Multiple Sclerosis

The aim of this diploma thesis is to answer the main research question: What is the role of a social worker in the system of therapy of multiple sclerosis? The theses is divided into three parts - theoretical, methodological and interpretive one. The theoretical part contains the definition of relevant terms and it is divided into two chapters. The first of them focuses on multiple sclerosis its attributes and consequences, the second one follows it up with descriptions of individual parts and treatment options, including psychological and social support. The methodological part of the diploma thesis presents, the research strategy, sample selection and operationalized sub-questions. Qualitative research was used in the thesis, specifically the method of semi-structured interviews, which were conducted with two groups of respondents - social workers and people with multiple sclerosis. Data were processed using open coding and then were interpreted. The third part of the work is devoted to the interpretation and research results. The data was evaluated for each group of respondents separately. The final discussion is based on data from both groups of respondents. Counselling Services for the Bereaved

(in English) Every individual becomes a bereaved person because death is an inevitable part of everyone's life. There are many different feelings and requisites that the bereaved have to deal with. This situation may be more manageable for some individuals than for others for various reasons. These reasons include, for example, insufficient support network, certain personalities of the individual's characteristics and psychological resilience, low information and knowledge about dying, and the practical matters associated with it. One source of support may be a qualified counsellor for the bereaved who works in organisations and services that focus on counselling for the bereaved and where the individual encounters death in their emmediate surroundings. This bachelor thesis aims to gain awareness of counselling for the bereaved and its possible forms. This project describes the reactions to the loss of a love one, the phases of grief and mourning and the factors that influence these reactions. It also deals with the possibilities of support from the counsellor for the bereaved. Interviews with these counsellors provide answers to the most common need of their clients and the ways of support they are offering. Annotation/Abstract The bachelor thesis deals with methods of ensuring a sense of security when communicating with children with CAN syndrome. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part, which provides a general view of the issue of CAN syndrome, and which also focuses on the functioning of social services in the Czech Republic and communication with children with CAN syndrome. The aim of the second part, practical, is to map what methods to ensure safety when talking to children with CAN syndrome used by social workers. It will include both the effects that a parent's alcohol dependence has on the child and recommendations on how to minimize these effects and how to work with them properly. Suicidal Tendencies of Seniors in Telephone Crisis Intervention

(in English): The topic of my thesis is the suicidal tendencies of elderly people. The topic is examined from the point of view of crisis hotlines. I describe terms such as old age, telephone crisis intervention and basic developmental needs (Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor) in the theoretical part. The following practical part focuses on crisis hotlines in the Czech Republic and their statistics concerning suicidal calls. The next part of the research is the analyses of interviews with social workers working on crisis hotlines and the analyses of notes from the talks with suicidal clients. I propose different instruments for the prevention of the suicidal tendencies of elderly people in the discussion.

The dissertation "Awareness of Eset-Help and Bona clients of possibilities in using the psycho-social network workplaces" is focused on Eset-Help and Bona clients' needs charting as to making use of psycho-social network workplaces from the clients' and from both these organisations workers' point of view. Theoretical part of this dissertation describes development of attitudes towards mental diseases and its treatment from historical viewpoint and defines concepts from the field of mental diseases accordingly to the International classification of diseases - its 10th revision. It delimits structure of psycho-social network and is elaborately focused on social services system. It presents summary of services determined for mentally diseased persons and other services in psycho-social network, sorted accordingly to particular resorts. This work also deals with problematic of knowledgeableness and barriers clients could be limited with in making use of psycho-social network workplaces.
