Importance of family life and a healthy family-work balance

This bachelor thesis considers the importance of a family and the question of harmonization of family and work life.It defines a family and work as very significant parts of a human life and points at some main attitudes towards the issues of putting family life and work together. Some transformations in terms of the relationship between a family and work in the past are suggested. There are also stated some basic measures of the state, which support a family. This thesis also considers the position of women in the labour market, the competence of the state and employers in the matter of women returning to work after parental leave. The most common methods of taking care of children younger than three years are also shown.There is a conception of Homeworking introduced as an alternative in the matter of harmonization of family and work life.
Integration of Migrants into the Czech Society

The aim of my diploma work is to study the subject of integration of foreigners into the Czech society. For that purpose I intend to use research questionnaires and to compare my results with results of other researches conducted by NGOs. Secondary aim is to map legal status of foreigners in the Czech Republic, historical reasons for migration and its development, and the composition of migrating population in Europe. Furthermore, I will focus on access to health and social insurance and to the health care system as well as on education and work opportunities which foreigners have in the Czech Republic.

Tématem mé diplomové práce je, jak už název napovídá, světové hospodářství a jeho hlavní vývojové tendence. Cílem mé diplomové práce je postihnout hlavní rysy a tendence vývoje světové ekonom iky a především se pokusit odpovědět na otázku, do jaké míry a jakým způsobem ovlivňuje Česká republika světové hospodářství a naopak, vliv světové ekonomiky na ekonomiku České republiky, protože naše ekonomika je malá a otevřená vnějším vlivům. A samozřejmě zda naše ekonomika může mít či má nějaký význam ve světovém hospodářství... První kapitola je věnována stručně teorii světové ekonomiky, vzniku a etapám světové ekonomiky. Poté následuje úsek věnovaný obecnému vztahu globalizace a regionalizace. Další podkapitola se týká struktury světového hospodářství. Jelikož je to ale velice rozsáhlé téma a vznikla již řada různých publikací, kde je tato problematika velice detailně popsána, opět se tímto tématem nezabývám podrobně, ale snažím se obecně charakterizovat tři centra světové ekonomiky. Alternative lifestyles of young people

My bachelor thesis sets goal to provide information about the alternative lifestyles of young people, the reasons why they décidé to live differently than the majority of society and what does it mean to live like they do. I focus mainly on the lifestyle of ecologically friendly people and next on the squatters and the phenomenon of squatting. I also describe the close relation of the squatters to culture. I write about the history of these alternative lifestyles and also try to involve their specifics. In conclusion I summarize the pieces of knowledge about ecological lifestyle and squatting.
Information and Communication Technologies in the Lifestyle of the Czech Population

The dissertation deals with the position of information and communication technologies in the lifestyle of the Czech society and the changes occurring in relation to these technologies. First of all, the basic conceptions of information and knowledge society are described and identified. In the next part, lifestyle is defined from theoretical and methodological standpoints for the concept to be operationalized for further analysis. In the analytical part, the author uses the results of a series of representative quantitative empirical research, in which she participated, examining, through the typical indicators, the place of information and communication technologies in the entire population, the pace of implementing the technologies, and the differences in various demographic groups using the technologies. The last part of the dissertation includes an empirical construction of lifestyle based on the two factors which are considered fundamental (leisure and values), also presenting an analysis, in the framework of different lifestyles, of specific aspects in making use of the information and communication technologies.
Comparison czech ODS and german CDU

The topic of my diploma thesis involves comparison between the largest Czech right-wing political party, the Civic Democratic Party (ODS), and the largest German conservative general political party, the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) which, together with the Christian Social Union (CSU) comprises a faction (CDU/CSU) at the federal level. The major objective of the thesis is an analysis of development and programmatics of both political parties and subsequent comparison thereof, I.e. identification of any common, similar and different characteristic features. The thesis is divided into four chapters. Chapter One deals with the theory of political parties, more strictly with the very concept of political party and its formation, its definitions, how it is divided, what roles it plays and what types of political parties there exist. Chapter Two is devoted to the Civic Democratic Party. I describe its formation, subsequent development and, finally, its programmatics. The individual objectives or principles are clearly shown on specific items of the political programme of 1995 and the current election programme "Jointly for Beller Life" of 2006. Socio-political Aspects of the Development of the Non-profit Sector in the Czech Republic

The first part of this diploma paper concentrates on modern concepts of civil society and definition of nongovernmental sector as an institutionalised part of civil society. In the second part it summarizes the main periods of the development of the non-profit sector in the Czech State from 19 century until 1989. The third part illustrates the image of the non-profit sector in the Czech republic since 1989. It analyzes the discursive controversy over the notion of civil society between two Czech presidents - Vaclav Havel a Vaclav Klaus. It also describes four different types of organizations that constitute the non-profit sector. It analyzes the role, character, financing and classification of Czech non-profit sector, including a description of the barriers which the nongovernmental sector in the Czech Republic faces in the context of complex social processes.
State Budget and Its Function in the Teaching of the Social Sciences

The topic of the diploma thesis is The national budget and its role in the instruction of the Social sciences. I decided to specify the heart of the matter of the national budget and its role in the economies of the developed countries, its position in the economy of the Czech Republic, its incomes and expenditures, their balance and the most important features of the fiscal policy. Another objective of my thesis was to evaluate the significance of this problem in the instruction of the Social sciences at secondary schools and its position in the Framework Educational Programme. The main aim of the thesis was to suggest the way of teaching this topic in the Social sciences.
Women in politics

In the theoretical part, I tried to explain the basic concepts and expanding and terms of feminism and gender. The development of the political kontext at home and abroad. In the practical part ( empirical probe ), I tried a questionnaire as part of quantitative research. Through the targated group ( selected respondents), I tried to repeal differences in the understanding of me nand women in political life and their view on this issue.
