The position of the chemical experiment at the time of ICT - aluminum and its compounds
Sloup, Radovan ; Čipera, Jan (advisor) ; Havlíček, David (referee) ; Šmejkal, Petr (referee)
The main goal of the thesis is to describe a position of the real experiment in chemistry at the beginning of the 21 century and to contribute to solution of speculations if this didactic tool is or is not at current schools such a rarity as it's often described. The starting point of the thesis is extensive research of the literature related to history of natural science literacy which is condition not only for the right experiment interpretation but also of its suitable usage in the lessons. The theoretical part observes also the ensuring of the chemical experiment in the curricular documents and its position in the chemistry teaching in recent past. The experiment is a dynamic visualia therefore the visualias are classified in particular part of the thesis and their occurrence and function are described - in today's information society, chemistry textbooks, as a part of hypermedia programs for chemistry teaching and in lessons in general. The thesis focuses partly on hypermedia programs, especially then on materials for chemistry teaching that proved to be helpful in e-learning. Through the questionnaire inquiry at primary and secondary schools in Czech Republic were discovered not merely material also personal options of the schools and chemistry teachers in relation to the experiment...
Alluminium complexes for biomedical applications
Beranová, Tereza ; Kubíček, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Havlíček, David (referee)
The aim of this work was to prepare ligands of macrocycle TACN with aminophosphinate pendant arms. Two ligands were prepared and fully characterized. A complex of aluminium ion was synthesized with one of the ligand. The complex was used for studying a fluoride coordination by a fluoride ion selective electrode. Key words: macrocyclic complex, positron emission tomography, phosphinic acid
Synthesis of deuterium-labelled N-methyl-4-methylpyridinium dihydrogen phosphate
Vik, Ondřej ; Havlíček, David (advisor) ; Urban, Jiří (referee)
The content of presented bachelor thesis is the preparation of dihydrogenphosphate of deuterium marked N-methyl-4-methylpyridinium for its future study by the neutron spectroscopy. By the neutron spectroscopy will be studied mechanism of proton conductivity of this salt. Precursors of the organic cation were deuterated several different ways. As the most efficient was evaluated deuteration in repeatedly exchanged solution of potassium carbonate and sodium hydroxide in heavy water. Efficiency of deuteration was measured by IR spectroscopy, 1H and 2H NMR spectroscopy.
Proton conductivity of powder samples
Taraba, Lukáš ; Havlíček, David (advisor) ; Matulková, Irena (referee)
Title: Proton Conductivity of Powder Samples Author: Lukáš Taraba Department: Department of Inorganic Chemistry, Faculty of Science Supervisor: Doc. RNDr. David Havlíček, CSc. Supervisor's e-mail address: david.havlicek@natur.cuni.cz Abstract This bachelor thesis is focused on the possibility of approximate determination of the specific conductivity of powder samples. It is based on X-ray diffraction analysis assuming the possibility of proton transfer by the system of properly arranged short hydrogen bonds in the structure of compounds. The selected substances were freshly prepared for the measurement. A newly prepared and investigated aminoguinidinium(1+) sulphamate was also measured. The specific conductivity of individual polycrystalline materials pressed into pellets or single crystal was calculated from the measured electrical resistance and dimensions of the samples. According to the results, this method of measurementis is fully sufficient for a gross estimate of whether the compound has a specific conductivity higher than that insulants usually have. Keywords proton conductivity - powder sample, hydrogen bond, aminoguanidinium(1+) sulphamate
Quantitative analysis of actinolite in the Pilsen Basin area by X-ray powder diffraction
Chlupáčová, Monika ; Havlíček, David (advisor) ; Nižňanský, Daniel (referee)
Increased concentration of suspended particles of the PM10 fraction, transportation and construction industry have serious impact on health. In Pilsen, the Air Improvement Programme in Pilsen Municipality takes place in accordance with the Pilsen Municipal Development Programme, the Regional Emissions Reduction Programme of the Pilsen Region and the National Emissions Reduction Programme of the Czech Republic. This thesis aims on determining the content of actinolite, azbestos mineral from amphibole group, in the samples from the Pilsen Basin. Altogether 23 samples from Pilsen municipal area were measured using the quantitative analysis method and X-ray powder diffraction. The actinolite content was determined in the samples.
