Evalution of the contemporary state of beekeeping in Vimperk area

The thesis is aimed on the present state of beekeeping in Vimperk area. Main source of informations consists of questionnaire investigation among beekeepers in each beekeeper society in the area. There are five beekeeper societies in Čkyně, Stachy, Šumavské Hoštice, Vacov and Vimperk. The Vimperk beekeeper society, its history and each beekeepers stand are in particular documented. Literary review consists of apiculture history and its significance in the Czech Republic, and the history of beekeeping societies. Also information about support of apiculture and elementary beekeeper terms in relation with the questionnaire supplement the results of the research

Evaluation of contemporary state of the arboretum in the Vimperk town (Southern Bohemia).

This thesis focuses on the situation and the inventory of the arboretum and two other parks in the Vimperk city. It represents the value of green areas in the environment and their positive and negative functions in the environment. Terms relatedto the main topic are also explained in the thesis.Parts of this thesis are: the introduction of the city history, the history of the secondary forestry school, the history of two green areas and the history of the arboretum which was founded by the secondary school. The information for the climate conditions in Vimperk was taken directly from the amateur meteorological station in Vimperk. The other natural conditions were assessed according to the literature. At the close the thesis describes several significant tree species which are grown in the arboretum.
