The accuracy of interindividual perception of the mind content
Hájková, Martina ; Bahbouh, Radvan (advisor) ; Slaměník, Ivan (referee)
Purpose: This thesis deals with some questions from the field of empathic accuracy, i.e. ability to correctly and accurately infer mental states of others. We were especially interested in question whether people are able to reflect their own empathic accuracy and their own meta-accuracy, i.e. recognize how other people view them. We were also interested in the role of motivation for empathic accuracy. Methods: Experiment based on the method of interactions. After the interaction phase were the participants asked to fill in forms concerning their own experience and experience of their partner and try to estimate, how the partner viewed them. They also estimated the accuracy of their answers. Results: Experiment has shown that participants have quite accurate idea about what has their partner experienced and how they were perceived although the degree of right guesses was various. However the reflection of their empathic skill was minimal. Participants mostly could not estimate, whether their guesses were accurate or not. Self-evaluation of participants, who were less successful in recognition of others experiences, was less accurate than the self-evaluation of the more successful ones.

Patients in intensive care units (ICU) or Departments of Anesthesia and Resuscitation (DAR) still face the pain that is not sufficiently reduced despite all the achievements of modern medicine. The aim of the thesis was to analyze the management of pain and the role of nurses in the treatment of pain using non-pharmacological interventions in patients hospitalized to intensive care units, respectively DAR. The theoretical part summarizes the issue of pain, both from the pathophysiological and psychological point of view. Because pain itself is a very broad subject, I focused on the management of acute pain (or postoperative pain) in this thesis. The main chapter of the theoretical part discusses the issue of pain in patients at ICU/ DAR. The method of data collection using individual non-standardized semi-structured interviews was chosen for the presented qualitative research. The obtained data from individual interviews served for a depth analysis of the researched issue when the individual parts of the text were coded and then grouped into individual newly created categories. The research sample consisted of eight informants from nurses working in different types of ICU and DAR. The informants were properly acquainted with circumstances and ethical aspects before starting the research. According...

This master thesis is focused on international-legal analysis of the relationship between development projects and environmental migration. The relationship between development projects and environmental migration is from the point of view of the international law almost unexamined and unregulated area, so this is the reason why I chose this theme as the topic of my research. The aim of this thesis is to analyse this relationship in respect to the international law and to search for an appropriate international legal instrument to regulate this relationship. The outputs are the answers to the following research questions: What is development project and what is environmental migration? What are the legal aspects of the relationship between development projects and environmental migration? Is it possible to treat this relationship in international law? Why is this area neglected by international law? Would not it be better to create a separate international legal framework for resettlement caused by development projects? The diploma thesis is composed of four main chapters, under which I am progressively trying to find answers to the above mentioned research questions. The first chapter is devoted to the development project and to determination of its definition, including its terminological...
