Suggestion of Financing of a Housing by Estate Agency´s Clients

The thesis mainly deals with the most important financial products at real estate market. The first part deals with certain types of mortgage loan, its collateral, process for execution and fees for processing, maturity and possibility of maturity the mortgage loan. It also includes the issue of building savings, its functions, purpose, minimal time of savings, interest rates and eventually also loan from building savings. The second part focuses on the offer of mortgage loans, building savings and subsequent comparison of these products on model example.

Considerations of the laboratory reference density for fine soil

The aim of this thesis is to describe the field of the soil compaction. The thesis introduces the particular test methods of the soil compaction, their principles and the implementation techniques. The practical part deals with the examination of a fine-grained sample in a laboratory condition. The compaction is achieved by various methods. In accordance with the compaction results, the soil is further examined for the Immediate Bearing Index (IBI) and California Bearing Ratio (CBR) after four day long saturation in water. The examination of the achieved results and finding the most suitable method for the fine-grained material is the outcome of the thesis.

Miroslav Bus Interchange - Selected parts of the construction plan

The diploma thesis contains selected parts of the building - technological project for the construction of the Miroslav bus interchange. This is a new building, which will improve the transport infrastructure and the safety of people at the site. Part of the diploma thesis is the technical report to the building and technological project, the time and financial plan, a study of the technological stages, budget and a detailed timetable, the organization of the building site, the technological regulation for the asphalt paving and the inspection and test plan, a plan concerning safety and dangers on a building.

Impact of Emerson's Transcendentalism on the Development of the New Age Movement . An Inquiry into Parallels as a Way to Determine the Influence

This thesis provides details about historical background of American Transcendentalism, a theological, philosophical and literary tradition of the first half of the nineteenth century in United States and of New Age religion originating roughly at the turn of the same century and maturing in the 1970's in a form of the New Age movement. The work focuses on the influence of American Transcendentalism as one of the shaping factors, which contributed to the emergence of New Age. The attention is placed primarily on the work of Ralph Waldo Emerson. Through a detailed analysis of selected Emerson's essays parallels are drawn between the beliefs held by the Transcendentalists, mainly Emerson, and general beliefs shared with the New Age community. Following the historical development of both traditions, we discover the point of convergence, namely the New Thought movement originating in the second half of the nineteenth century.

The translation and stylistic analysis of the Jonathan Franzen's short story Agreeable

In this bachelor theasis I am dealing with the problems that may occur during translation, in this particular case from English to Czech. As a foundation material I used short story Agreeable written by Jonathan Franzen. The thesis is divided into practical part and theoretical part. The first, practical part consists of the translation of the whole short story Agreeable. The second, theoretical part consists of my analysis of the translation, which is focused on the problems I had to solve during the translation process. I comment on the choices I made, usually justifying by translation theories of Jiří Levý and Dagmar Knittlová. Success and failure in selected novels of Theodore Dreiser

Diplomová práce Success and Failure in Selected Novels of Theodore Dreiser analyzuje vybrané romány Theodora Dreisera s přihlédnutím k motivu vzestupu a pádu. Dále se tato práce věnuje otázce jak se Dreiserova životní zkušenost odráží v jeho díle. Srovnávány jsou romány Sister Carrie, Jennie Gerhardt, The "Genius", An American Tragedy, and The Trilogy of Desire (The Financier, The Titan, The Stoic) s autobiografiemi Dawn a Newspaper Days. Práce odhaluje skutečné předlohy románových postav, zkoumá jejich vzestupy a pády, a zkoumá Dreiserův pohled na svět, zejména jeho sociální postoje. Dochází k závěru, že Dreiser skrze své postavy, vykreslené jako Nietzschovsky sobecká a atavistická stvoření, zpochybňoval tradiční americkou literární koncepci, tradiční morálku i principy demokracie.

Naturalism in selected works of John Steinbeck

This diploma thesis deals with naturalistic features in selected works of John Steinbeck. The theoretical part gives a general outline of Naturalism, of its birth and background, as well as of the influences which helped to form this movement. Special attention is paid to the American Naturalism. The practical part is focused on the analysis of two novels by John Steinbeck - The Grapes of Wrath and In Dubious Battle - from the naturalistic point of view. Its aim is to trace naturalistic features in the novels and thus to find evidence that these are typical novels of American Naturalism, in terms of their themes and ways of elaboration.

This bachelor thesis deals with translation of the initial fourty pages of the novel Stacraft: Uprising by Micky Neilson. The Thesis consists of a Practical and a Theoretical part. The Practical part contains the English original text and the translation of its initial chapters. The Theoretical part is then a stylistic analysis of the translation, which focuses on differences between English and Czech and other issues i had to cope with during the translation.
