The paper draws on sources of traditional music from Moravia, Silesia, and from Czech, Polish and Slovak comparative material. It deals with the metro-rhythmic and tectonic principle of typology of traditional music. The typology of ceremonial song is characterized by both the integration tendencies (the inter-ethnic Moravian-Silesian-Polish types of common function), and disintegration tendencies of development (regional and local types).
