Language Shift in a Czech Community in the Daruvar Area

The thesis deals with the linguistic situation of the Czech community living in the Daruvar region of the Republic of Croatia and presents the contemporary linguistic situation of the ethnic Czech community with a focus on language shift as a sociolinguistic phenomenon. The first part of the paper introduces basic sociolinguistic terms and principles based on research on bilingual communities. Within the framework of factors influencing ethnolinguistic vitality, the Czech minority in Croatia is presented, from the settlement of the territory to the organization of contemporary Czech minority life and the institutional teaching of Czech as a minority language. The second part of the thesis is devoted to the analysis of data from questionnaires collected during the research in the area. In addition to demographic data, the questionnaire examines the use of the Czech language in communication with other members of the community. The questions in the second part of the questionnaire are used to assess bilingual dominance. Based on the formulated hypotheses, the attitude towards the Czech language and language choice across three generations of speakers is investigated. Picture of a father in contemporary advertisement and its reflection by men

This bachelor thesis deals with the father's image in contemporary advertisement and its perception of men. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts of media studies, linguistics, cognitive linguistics and sociology. The practical part deals with methodology of research, hypothesis formulation and analytical questions. The conclusion of the thesis is a description of five selected beverage and food advertisements that appeared on Czech screens in the years 2016 and 2017. Using the method of unstructed interviews showed that in 5 specific cases, the selected men did not identify with the father's role in the advertisement. Fiscal policy and its importance in development of economy

The thesis deals with the impact of fiscal policy on economic development and is divided into theoretical and analytical part. The theoretical part of the thesis describes macroeconomic performance indicators, the operating principles of state economic policy and economic cycle including its phases and his possible causes. Next part deals with the functioning of fiscal policy including its types, measures and problems associated with it. There is also outlined the issue of the formation of the state budget and the public debt. The analytical part is primarily monitored developments in the gross domestic product, unemployment and inflation rates within the reporting period. The following section provides an analysis of state budget and public debt of the Czech Republic, especially in the connection with the development of the budget balance and structure of expenditure and revenue side of the budget. Examined topic is given in correspondence with the fiscal measures undertaken. The thesis is also a comparison of domestic development with neighboring countries and the EU average. Finally there is a synthesis of the ascertain results.
