Supported Housing for Persons with Learning Disability from the Viewpoint of Those Persons

The thesis focuses on supported protected housing for persons with learning disabilities and the personal experience of such persons using various types of such housing. The first chapter contains the theoretical basis of this topic and its subchapters list certain trends in social services. It contains the definition of the expression supported protected housing for persons with learning disabilities and its individual types. Chapter two focuses on the users of the social services consisting in provision of supported protected housing for persons with learning disabilities. Its first subchapter focuses on the expression of adulthood, the other subchapters then deal with psychological characteristics and particular features of persons with learning disabilities. Chapter three contains the research. It contains the justification of the research issue, stipulates the objective of the thesis, and defines the research questions. Significance of Supported Housing for Persons with Learning Disability from the Viewpoint of Those Persons and Their Parents

This thesis discusses the issue of supported housing for persons with learning disability. It is divided into two chapters. Chapter one outlines options for education of persons with disabilities after 1948, explains supported housing for persons with learning disability, its individual types, and the target group for the supported housing social services. The final section of chapter one clarifies legislative support for the supported housing social service. Chapter two describes the objective, methods, and selection of research participants. The subsequent subchapters discuss quality of life of supported housing clients and focus on opinions of persons with learning disability on this type of housing and mention views of some parents of children with learning disability concerning this service. The final part of the chapter summarizes the results of research conducted by the author. The objective of the thesis is to identify opinions of persons with learning disability and their parents on the supported housing social service. The author has applied the following methods: observation, interview, and questionnaire. Keywords: supported housing, social service, learning disability, family.
Student teachers group learning activities

The dissertation thesis focuses on the topic of employing group teaching activities in the university education of teachers. The goal of the thesis is to provide complex understanding of group teaching activities as a teaching strategy useful for teacher's education, and to describe and analyze their current deployment in selected courses, specifically in specialization courses in respective fields of study and in pedagogy course. The research uses two main approaches. Case study was conducted to analyze, how group teaching activities are implemented in specialization courses at the Faculty of pedagogy of the Charles University in Prague. Action research was used in my own teaching of pedagogy course at the Theatre faculty of the Academy of performing arts in Prague. Results of both empirical inquiries point to the high significance of group teaching activities for the education of future teachers. They describe in detail factors influencing their employment, analyze their actual use in teaching and reflect on perspectives of all actors of the teaching process, both students and teachers, on group teaching activities. Implementation of eHealth in the Czech Republic and Slovakia

This thesis examines ICT use in the area of health care. The aim is to introduce the eHealth strategy and analyse the current state while following the strategy. The thesis includes both theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical one, basic terms and notions concerning eHealth issues are characterised at first. Next part focuses on the health care drawing possibilities for EU citizens within EU countries and on cross border cooperation between Czech Republic and Germany in the area of emergency service. The third part introduces Czech and Slovak Republic health care systems as well as other organizations participating on eHealth in both the given countries. Practical part focuses on the eHealth readiness and possibilities of its implementing within Czech and Slovak Republic including the projects put in practice. On the basis of the results gained, conclusions have been synthesized.
