The changes of ski infrastructure and its use in the Krušné hory in the last decade

The theme of my thesis is focused on downhill skiing which together with cross country skiing is the most important activity of winter tourist season. The downhill skiing has got a long tradition in the Czech Republic and there are a large number of ski resorts. One of the most important regions of downhill skiing in the Czech Republic is Krušné Hory. The development of tourism in the Krušné hory is very specific compared to other Czech mountains. After 1948, some parts of the territory inaccessible, as it was a border zone and in the following years they were destroyed by coal mining. The thesis analyzes the changes that were caused over many years in the Krušné Hory. This thesis is focused on the last ten years. The second part of the questionnaire survey shows the potential of the Krušné hory which is used by the schools in Ústí nad Labem. The main aim of the questionnaire was to find out where the schools from Ústí nad Labem organize their ski courses and what are the main priorities for the selection of the locality.

The Tourism Potential of Former Military Areas: The Case of the Brdy Military Region Abstract The thesis deals with tourism as an alternative which can replace the military function of former military areas. The first part of the thesis is focused on the aspects connected to the conversion of former military areas into tourist attractions, including specific options of tourist attractions use and associated forms of tourism. The second part is dedicated to the case study of the conversion of the Brdy Military Region. Its goal is to analyse media discourse on conversion of the Brdy Military Region and to point out its central topics, stakeholders and changes in time. Based on a field research, the thesis consequently examines current attitudes of local stakeholders with an emphasis on tourism. The thesis also includes an analysis of tourism potential of the former Brdy Military Region together with its surrounding area. Public space: Case study Old Town Square in Prague

The purpose of this diploma thesis is to examine how local citizens and the expert community perceive the current status of the Old Town Square in Prague. At present, the attention is very often turned to the possible completion of the Old Town Hall and the overall physical arrangement of the area. Thesis will be based both on the study of historical and present documents. Initially, the focus will be on determining the current situation and use of the square, later on we will discuss the completion of the Old Town Hall and comprehensively the use of area as such. Based on interviews with residents I will evaluate the satisfaction of local citizens with the current purpose of this place, what is their use of the square and what local people think about the completion of the Old Town Hall and other objects situated on the square.

The Aspects of Tourism Attractiveness: Case Study Lipno nad Vltavou Abstract: The village Lipno nad Vltavou is becoming one of the most progressively growing tourist destinations in the Czechia. It's a destination with a great potential for tourism development but it has been greatly suppressed due to the previous political system. Nowadays, the destination prosper again and its radical development can be seen in changes of functional land use, changing the composition of the offered services or the attitude of residents. Visitor management in the historical town, case study Nymburk Abstract The main aim of this bachelor thesis was to suggest innovations that led to the expansion and improvement of tourism offers, based on visitor demand (which was measured by questionnaire survey in the tourist information centre) and the evaluation of tourism potential. Three thematic maps were created - Religious monuments in Nymburk, Technical and other architecturally important buildings in Nymburk and Park Ostrov in Nymburk. Then a web application was created with objects of interest in Nymburk, which is available to visitors on the website of the Tourist information centre in Nymburk. This bachelor thesis assesses the position of the tourist information centre in the network of tourism actors in Nymburk and suggests solutions to problems that resulted especially from the questionnaire survey. THE ISSUES IN METHODOLOGY AND DATA INTERPRETATION IN STUDIES OF TOURIST ATTRACTIONS' ATTENDANCE Lukáš Nekolný Abstract Attendance belongs to the main quantitative indicators of tourism which is one of the most important sectors of human activites. Knowledge about number of visitors has substantiation in scientific research and in destination management. In this case it is essential to combine the sustainability and the economic benefits. The number of visitors (visits) is important regarding to education and media. Therefore the use of comparable methodology is appropriate before interpretation of corresponding data. The aims of this thesis after analysing methodologic risk issues are to create the recommendation and to compare data of tourist attractions. The main points of recommendation we can mark are to compare individual attractions regardless of the ownership structure and to separate counting of tour routes and counting of visitor numbers with season tickets without distorted coefficients. CHANGES OF FUNCTIONAL USE SHORE OF ORLICKÁ BARRIER FOCUSING ON RECREATIONAL FUNCTION Abstract The aim of this study is to assess changes in functional use of the shore Orlická barrier in more than fifty-year history this technical bouilding. Orlická barrier holds many functions, for example in energy and control of flows to the river system. A secondary effect is the concentration of tourism and recreation on the banks. In this work, the focus is on analysis recreational function. Other analyse functions are economic function, transport, residential and servises. Of the result of dam construction in the 60s and political changes, there were changes in the functional recovery destination. Currently Orlicko faces many problems that have a negative effect on the influx of visitors and tourists. Apart from analyzing the functional use of the area is part of this paper analysis of structured interviews with mayors, representatives of recreational centers and other actors in the area. THE INFLUENCE OF TOURISM ON THE UNESCO SIGHTS ČESKÝ KRUMLOV AND TELČ Abstract My thesis is direct at identification of positive and negative effects of tourist industry in historical centre of Cesky Krumlov and Telc after 1992 when the cities were written on the World Heritage List of UNESCO. At the same time thesis analyzes current condition these historical sights. In the first part of thesis is analysing technical literature that is applying with problems of tourism. In the following chapters is thesis focused on attendance, demographical changes and the management of tourism in the individual destinations. The most beneficial part of this thesis may be considered chapters analysing tourist's portals, accommodation and restaurant facilities. The next, chapter of field analyse of selected areas and controlled interviews with chosen participants of tourism and public administration. Influence of leisure activities on development of municipalities in Střední Povltaví

This diploma thesis deals with leisure associations in municipalities, especially with influence of their activities on development of selected municipalities in Střední Povltaví. In the first theoretical part, there are analyzed key concepts for theme of diploma thesis such as social capital, leisure time, activity of association or development of municipalities. The next part presents the methodology of the thesis based on the grounded theory. The thesis contains a characteristic of municipalities where the case study was performed. This case study consisted in the evaluation of conducted guided structured interviews with municipal representatives, leisure association representatives and with residents of municipalities.
