Yoga a a part of intervention for school age children with attention deficit disorder

The diploma thesis surveys the school age children's personality with attention deficit disorder, yoga and its exercise, relaxation techniques and its positive affect on them. The work shows yoga postures' detailed description, sun salutation and the whole lecture. The aim was to bring in yoga exercise to reduce ADHD symptoms and to find out how can regular yoga exercise affect school behavior and self-perceived stress level. By this experiment was used data analysis and presence observing as the survey methods. The current study found that regular yoga exercise at school has slight change in the participants' ADHD symptoms and school behavior. The current study found no change in the participants' self-perceived stress level. Participants viewed yoga as both physical activity and relaxation.
Options how to use a dynamic diagnosis to help pupils suffering mild mental retardation

The thesis focuses on dynamic evaluation of younger pupils with mild mental retardation by application of a Visual Perception Test, which evaluates certain areas of sight perception. It is an alternative diagnostic method focused on rational intervention, which applies diagnostically obtained findings and results in search for adequate assistance and support of the particular pupil. In the theoretical section, the text focuses on pupils with mild mental retardation, their specific features and education. It introduces basic findings on dynamic diagnostics and dynamic approach and its application in support of pupils with reduced intellect. In the empirical section, the research seeks to verify whether the test, which evaluates selected aspects of sight perception, is a suitable tool for dynamic examination of children with mild mental disabilities and whether and in what form of intervention, the pupils who have been included in the research project experience different results in the pre-test and post-test. Based on the detected results, the Visual Perception Test appears to be a very effective tool in dynamic diagnostics for individuals with mild mental retardation. In the conclusion and the recommendations, the work presents the detected suitable forms of intervention for each particular pupil.
The attitudes and experience of Primary school teachers with inclusion of pupils with mental disabilities

The thesis deals with the issue of inclusive education of pupils with mild intellectual disabilities in Czech mainstream schools focusing on attitudes and experiences of teachers of a selected elementary school on this issue. The theoretical part defines the concept of inclusion in the context of the Czech educational system and legislative measures related to this topic. It summarizes the concept of intellectual disability, describes what an intellectual disability is, what families of a child with intellectual disabilities are facing, and defines the specifics of educating a pupil with an intellectual disability. It also deals with special educational needs and measures for the education of pupils with this disability, which are embedded in the education act and aim to support the inclusive education of pupils with mild intellectual disabilities. The empirical part of the thesis analyses the interviews with teachers of a selected elementary school in the Central Bohemian Region. While conducting the research, the semi-structured interviews were gathered and the attitudes of teachers towards the explored issues were described. The final part summarizes and graphically elaborates findings of the qualitative research and suggests recommendations for possible further research and teaching practice.
Inclusion of pupils with autistic pectrum disorders in a common kindergartens in the context of new legislation

The diploma thesis deals with the education of children with disorders of autistic spectrum in Kindergartens. The theoretical part describes autism from the historical point of view and also the classification of disorders of the autistic spektrum and diagnostics. Educating of children with special educational needs, preschool education, appropriate support for children with disorders of autistic spectrum in preschool age, games with children with disorders of autistic spectrum, examples of used interventions in preschool age, services for children and their parents are also described in the theoretical part. The analytical part deals with forms of support of children with autistic disorders in normal Kindergarten and which methods are used in their education. The aim of this part was to find out in what form did the pedagogues got the knowledge about methods of supporting education of children with autism disorders. We did an interviews with three pedagogues to complete the survey. From our survey we found out that the padagogues mostly use the structured learning method. Role of school special educator at the intervention of pupils with special educational needs

The purpose of this diploma thesis is to investigate the advisory role of an elementary school special education teacher. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the activities and methods of the teacher's work, his position at school and his cooperation with other entities in supporting pupils with special education needs. The special activities are described in favour of pupils, groups of pupils and teachers. The purpose of this thesis is also to describe the development of the special education discipline, documentation and ethical aspects of this profession. The practical part is focused in the form of qualitative research on the Prague elementary school teacher's view of the special education teacher. The core of the research consists of analysis of five interviews with teachers at Prague school. Subsequently, the importance of the individual work in the form of intervention and therapeutic to be evaluated on basis of five case reports.
Evaluation of prevalence of specific learning difficulties at schools using sfumato reading method

The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis contains the knowledge gained by analyzing available literature on history, individual types and diagnostics of specific learning disorders, methods of initial reading and writing, and the impact of specific learning disorders on the personality of the child. The practical part of the thesis is a quantitative research carried out by means of a questionnaire survey for the staff of elementary schools in which the method of Sfumato was applied. The aim of the work is evaluation of prevalence of specific learning difficulties - dyslexia in children from the first to the fourth grade at elementary school, where the Sfumato method was chosen for teaching the initial reading. Within the regions of the Czech Republic, the highest incidence of dyslexia is 11.9% in the Moravian-Silesian Region, whereas Prague has the lowest incidence, 3.4%. The lowest incidence of dyslexia was found in pupils in first years, highest in third years. Cross-sectional learning disabilities (SPU 3) were most frequently diagnosed across all years. Educational Assessment of graphomotor skills and their development in preschool children

The diploma thesis deals with problems of pedagogical diagnostics of the writing-motoric and visual-motoric functions and possibilities of their development in the practice of the kindergarten teacher. There are the starting points clarified in the theoretical part, which relate to the objectives, tasks, methods, forms and content of preschool education in the context of school maturity. The school readiness and its fields with a narrower focus on monitored sub- components of a school maturity and also the action and the influence of the kindergarten in this area is clarified and described. Also the professional competencies and duties of the preschool teacher are defined here. The concept of pedagogical diagnostics, the theoretical foundations of methods and instruments of pedagogical diagnostics are analyzed in details. A direct diagnostic activity in combination with the theoretical bases and approaches is stressed here. These theoretical findings are further applied in the practical with a focus on writing- motoric and visual-motoric function. Special education support for children form socially exculded localities in education in preschools and primary schools

The topic of the master thesis is Special education support for children from socially excluded localities in education in preschools and primary schools. The thesis deals with the topic of social disadvantage of children of pre-school and elementary school age. The theoretical part is focused on defining the terms social disadvantage and socially excluded area. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the influence of the families on social learning of children and the consequences of social disadvantage on the children's development and education. Two chapters of the thesis deal with the possibilities of support for socially disadvantaged children. One of them is devoted to the provision of support measures at schools, the other one defines some strategies and programs aimed at the development of the children. The practical part analyses the results of a research survey mapping the level of development of particular selected functions in children from socially excluded areas. The used research method was testing. The research involved testing of 10 children from socially excluded areas and their results were compared to the testing results of other 10 children who were not from socially excluded areas.
