The Relevance of Azerbaijan and Georgia in New Energy Geopolitics
Dvořáková, Tereza ; Střítecký, Vít (advisor) ; Plechanovová, Běla (referee)
The submitted thesis called "The Relevance of Azerbaijan and Georgia in New Energy Geopolitics" deals with the topic of perception of energy security from the perspective of the European Union with special emphasis put on two southern Caucasian countries - Azerbaijan and Georgia. The purpose of this thesis is to analyse the topic by means of the constructivist approach. The theoretical framework is based on the redefined theory of securitization. The methodological basis is represented by the discursive analysis of the official documents issued by the European Union, embedded in the context of European Neighbourhood Policy and the Eastern Partnership initiative respectively whilst taking into consideration the external influence of the Russian Federation in the time period of approximately ten years, i.e. from 2003, when the European Neighbourhood was established, up to the present. The main objective of the submitted thesis is to assess the perception of energy security from the point of view of the European Union and to identify key contextual links and discursive themes that dominated the political discourse of the European Union in particular moments of the respective period.
Contemporary Efforts for Film Educating at Primary and Secondary Schools
Forejtová Lipovská, Alexandra ; Czesany Dvořáková, Tereza (advisor) ; Čeněk, David (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on effort to promote film/audiovisual education in the frame of the general education. It tries to map out the condition of the film education in our country in both historical and contemporary context. The major part is devoted to the situation in the last 13 years when things started to improve. The work is divided into 4 chapter, the first is dedicated to thorough historical reception of film education in our country where I focus on school film education, children's film clubs, amateur movements but also the European context (albeit marginally). The first chapter covers the period from the beginning of cinema to the 80s of the 20TH century. The second chapter reflects the situation of the film education after 1989 using the best examples of the strongest mediator of the film enlightenment of those times - AČFK and its activities. Naturally I will get to a very ambitious project in the field of film education - canon of the film - through Jiří Králík (former deputy of ACFC). The third chapter analyzes in detail the genesis of the inclusion of F/AV to general educational programs of Czech schools and observes the attitude of the government entities such as the Ministry of Education or Ministry of Culture. The third chapter is followed by the last part of the thesis...
Tiling problems in combinatorics
Dvořáková, Tereza ; Slavík, Antonín (advisor) ; Halas, Zdeněk (referee)
The thesis represents a collection of solved problems concerned with covering planar shapes (mostly rectangles with integer sides) by tiles known as polyominoes (e.g., domi- noes, trominoes, tetrominoes, etc.). In most cases, the goal is to find a tiling or to prove that no such tiling exists. In more difficult problems, the task is to deduce conditions for the rectangle to be tileable by specified polyominoes. The last chapter is devoted to calcu- lating the number of all possible tilings of the specified rectangle.
Warriors of Faith in the Third Czechoslovak Republic
Doležal, Kryštof ; Klimeš, Ivan (advisor) ; Czesany Dvořáková, Tereza (referee)
! Warriors of Faith is the first Czechoslovak colored feature film, which narrates the final stage of Hussite Wars. This film should approved the legitimacy of nationalized cinematography and beca- me the representative work of the Czechoslovak art. This movie fitted in the nationalistic folklore of Czech culture, hussite tradition and allowed the argumentation against Germans, liberals and to em- phasize other aspects of Czech nationalism. Cinematography and press were the most important mass media in those days and were regulated or controlled by the government of National Front. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to clarify (through media analysis) in what matter the press reflec- ted the movie, or rather in what sense resonated the Czech nationalism in the selected texts.
Evaluation of the in vitro skin permeation of selected compounds using static Franz diffusion cells
Dvořáková, Tereza ; Vávrová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Zbytovská, Jarmila (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Inorganic & Organic Chemistry Student: Tereza Dvořáková Title of diploma thesis: EVALUATION OF THE IN VITRO SKIN PERMEATION OF SELECTED COMPOUNDS USING STATIC FRANZ DIFFUSION CELLS The work focuses testing the transdermal permeation of selected substances - tacrine and 7-methoxytacrine (7-Meota). Tacrine is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor approved for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. For its hepatotoxicity and side- effects is no longer used today. Transdermal administration could be a good alternative to reduce those side effects. 7-Meota is tacrine derivative, which in previous in vitro testing demonstrated lower toxicity in comparison with tacrine. The aim of this thesis was to clarify if and to what extent has tacrine and 7-Meota ability for transdermal permeation. Experiments were performed in vitro by using Franz diffusions cells. As receptor fluid was used for tacrine a phosphate buffer solution and for 7-Meota was a phosphate buffer solution for one part of the trial and for a second part was water. Substances were applied in an infinite dose in aqueous solution onto the surface of pig skin, which was cut to a thickness of 500 µm and 1000 µm. For the comparison was part of the experiments conducted in a...
