An Analysis of the Legal Protection of the Disappearing Island States Population Rising ocean levels, which occur as a result of global warming, currently pose a threat to low-lying island states. The so-called "disappearing island states". This thesis deals with the legal protection of the disappearing island states population. The main objective is to provide a basic overview of protective instruments for this scenario, and assess their potential application. This text is divided into three parts. The first chapter deals with the concept of disappearing island nations, the reasons behind their disappearance and some of the consequences. Of particular importance is the subchapter, discussing the dissolution of the state in general. Even though in theory a state's dissolution due to climate change effects is viable, in practice this event has never occurred before. Therefore, international law does not offer a clear answer to the legal personality of the state that has been affected by climate change-induced sea level rise. This question needs to be answered in order to define the status of the population, and to define the tools that can be used to ensure its protection. The comparative analysis of consumer protection law

The main purpose of this thesis is the comparison of consumer protection legislation in the Czech republic, United States of America and Croatia and the comparison of selected legal questions. After the introduction to the general issues related to consumer protection, namely the basic concepts, the development of consumer protection law in the world and the reasons of protection of consumer, the work deals with legal sources of current czech, american and croatian consumer protection law. Actual comparisons of personally selected legal questions is creating the core of the thesis. We are comparing legal definitions of basic subjects of consumer protection law, warranty and products liability as described in laws of each country.
The crime of violation of rights to the protected trademark, trade name, and protected designations of origin and the crime of violation of industrial rights

This work deals with the criminal protection of industrial rights, more specifically with the Article 150 of Criminal Code called the crime of violation of rights to the protected trademark, trade name, and protected designations of origin, and with the Article 151 of Criminal Code called the crime of violation of industrial rights. After a brief introduction to the industrial rights and to the ways of their protection in general I am trying to focus on criminal law concepts such as crime and its own merits. The main subject of the work are the crimes mentioned above for the understanding of which is necessary to extensively analyse the industrial institutes.
