Automated Testing of Embedded Web Applications

This thesis focuses on automatic testing of embedded web applications, specifically on their user interfaces. I solved this problem on an already implemented user interface. I designed and implemented an automated test environment based on the Selenium tool. The created solution facilitates the development of automatic tests of the selected product and enables regression testing of a new version of the product with a minimum time cost. The resulting solution will ensure greater product quality and make work easier for manual testers.
Proposal of Automated System for Cryptocurrency Trading

The thesis deals with the creation of an algorithmic cryptocurrency trading machine according to the indicators of technical analysis. Among the technical indicators used for the solution, Fear and greed index and RSI were selected, according to whose levels the algorithm buys and sells bitcoin to achieve better results than the accumulation strategy of DCA. The backtest results are compared with each other and the result shows that the final solution can be competitive.

This bachelor thesis is focused on evaluation of complexity of a marketing textbook for high school with business focus as a didactic text. In the part Present state of knowledge, the work deals with the importance of performance rating of textbooks and different methodological approaches. In the practical part the market with marketing textbooks for secondary schools with business focus is analysed and an analysis of textbook Marketing by Moudrý, M., which hasn't an approval clause from the Ministry of Education. This thesis contains a review of the evaluated textbook. The analysis of complex degree of difficulty of the text and analysis of didactic equipment of the textbook are used. Textbook is also evaluated in terms of the approval clause of Ministry of Education using the assessment form. Based on the analyzes are given practical recommendations for educational practice.
Politeness in television political discussion

Rigorosum thesis Politeness in Television Political Discussion deals with specific nature of politeness and impoliteness use in mediated political discourse, illustrating it with the Czech Television programme Questions of Václav Moravec. In the first part it defines television political debate as a genre. Then it summarizes development of politeness theories both in world and Czech pragmatic and pragmalinguistic tradition. After synthetising the main conceptions it comes out with its own version of theory of politeness and impoliteness, basing it on Cooperation Principle and politeness theory with utilization of face concept. Then it applies theoretical principles in practical debate analysis and pays attention to the most distinct agents of politeness and impoliteness expression. In conlusion it identifies characteristic regularities of politeness and impoliteness usage in television political discussion and adverts to relevant factors that influence the shape of communication. The rigorosum thesis helps to map the field, in which conflict interferes with cooperation as two antagonistic forces, and explains their interaction by the usage of politeness and impoliteness. Ideology in the protectorate daily press discourse

Diploma thesis Ideology in the protectorate daily press discourse deals with the influence of ideology in the discourse of then legally published dailies České slovo, Lidové noviny and Venkov. The theoretical part refers firstly to the historical background of the state formation Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia and its political and social status within the Greater German Reich. After having depicted the demonstrations of 28th October 1939 and the events of 17th November 1939 the media character in the protectorate era is introduced, a special emphasis is put on the press. After that the concept of discourse is clarified as well as its origin, meaning and current interpretation. Besides the critical discourse analysis, its origins, aims and three major approaches are described. The last chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to the discourse-historical approach which was developed by Ruth Wodak and her colleagues from the Vienna School. The ideal procedure of this approach is outlined and the discursive strategies of nomination, predication and argumentation are explained. With their aid an analysis of four newspaper articles is carried out in the practical part of the thesis. Critical Analysis of Language Ideologies in Czech Public Discourse

The thesis deals with language ideologies in Czech public discourse. After introducing its topic, motivation and structure in the opening chapter, it devotes the second chapter to a thorough analysis of the research field of language ideologies. It presents various ways of defining them, two different approaches to them and a few key features which characterize language ideologies. The relation of language ideologies and other related notions is outlined, possibilities and ways of investigation are surveyed. Some remarks focus on existing lists or glossaries of language ideologies. The core of this chapter is an original, complex definition of language ideologies grounded in a critical reflection of approaches up to now. The third chapter summarizes relevant existing findings and on that basis, it formulates the main aim of the thesis - to make a contribution to knowledge on the foundations and ways of conceptualizing language in Czech public discourse. The fourth chapter elaborates the methodological frame of the thesis. Critical discourse analysis is chosen as a basis - its basics are summarized, main critical comments are considered and a partial solutions are proposed in use of corpus linguistics' tools.
