Data Governance implementation

Topic of this thesis is the Data Governance implementation in the large companies. These companies struggle during governing and managing data to get useful insights for the decision making. Data Governance is new approach to managing the companies which helps to solve the data management pain points and helps organizations to work with data effectively and without any problems. Data Governance helps to transform data into asset. This thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part are discussed reasons for emerging Data Governance, analysis of approaches to Data Governance by world leading methodologies and possible focus of the Data Governance projects as well as its benefits. Important part of this theoretical part is Data Governance components definition. Implementation of the Data Governance is discussed in the practical part. The goal of the practical part is to describe required artifacts which should exist during the implementation. Described artifacts use the best practice from the existing literature. These deliverables will help to better structure, govern and successfully implement the Data Governance. Delivering these artifacts bring the value for the company. Each project deliverable has definitions of the importance for the project team and the company. Most important benefit of the practical part is aspiration to eliminate pain points during the Data Governance implementation as appropriate project team, cooperation definition, buy-in and deliverables.
Management and Control of Servers and User Devices in the Context of Information Security

Securing user devices and servers requires a complex approach which includes not only the configuration of the device itself but also many other factors. The goal of this thesis is to present principles of a new guideline aimed at security and management of user devices and servers in the context of information security. The first part of this paper is devoted to the analysis of existing industry standards, frameworks, guidelines, and other collections of best practice commonly used in the management of informatics and information and IT security. The analysis is complemented with a field research conducted among forefront specialists. Based on the analysis and research, a new methodic concept for the management and control of user devices and servers security called DEVSEC is described in the next part. The concept is constructed with emphasis on security requirements, security measures, processes, resources and the overall security assurance process. The last part of the paper provides results of the final research aimed at testing the concept in the envitonment of one financial firm and also results of another field research among security specialists. The DEVSEC contributes to the theory of management of informatics as well as to its practice. The concept represents a complex approach to the management and control of security of servers and user devices as well as a new guideline ready for practical utilization.
E-Government in Czech republic and in the world

Firstly there will be explained basic terms and described situation in Czech republic and chosen countries. Based on those and another data will be examined and analysed position of Czech republic in comparsion with other countries.
Digital forensics and its application to forensic audit

This thesis aims to describe a process framework suitable for conducting digital forensics investigation projects as support for forensic audit. Selection of existing digital forensics investigation framework was a subject of criterial comparison. Described new framework is a result of combination and enhancement of those frameworks, which were suitable for the characteristics of forensic audit. Thesis also discusses digital forensics methods for fraud examination and risk assessment as a part of external audit.
Optimization of selected business processes

The subject of my thesis is the optimization of selected business processes in the specific company. These are processes, which optimization will lead to save time, money and will generate additional income and increase the current level of profit significantly. In my thesis, I proposed several indicators of metrics and describe new information systems that will be part of optimized processes. In the first part I present the theoretical aspects and the transition from functional to process management, modeling based on different methodologies, standards and measuring the performance of individual processes. In the next chapter I am dealing with the practical application of theoretical knowledge on a specific company. First I briefly introduce this company, define its position in the market, and going through complex of strategic analysis. Next I give solution how to find out the problematic aspects of the most critical processes and then I suggest optimization. An important part of this thesis are suggested metrics and indicators for these metrics, which are monitored and evaluate targets of each individual process and thus his successful implementation. After incorporating the proposed optimization, the company has significantly shifted not only in monitored metrics, but will also increase its value. These ideas I will summarize in the end of the work.
Informatization of public administration

The diploma thesis deals with informatization of public administration and eGovernment in the Czech Republic. The main objective of the thesis is to suggest a project plan that will support informatization of public administration and eGovernment in accordance to the analyzed documents. The thesis compares development of informatization within Czech Republic and its level of eGovernment to other European Union members with recommendations for improvement. Main strategic documents connected with EU programs and the partnership agreement are also included. In the chapter about Smart Administration appraisal of the situation is carried out and the main projects are presented. As we are currently at the turn of the programming period, the thesis is focused both on the 2007-2013 and 2014-2020 programming period. Subsequently requirements for the project plan were determined in accordance to the analyzed documents. The selected project plans support the informatization of the public administration and one of their main targets is Czech citizen. Project plan form is created. Finally, project plans of Electronic elections system and The Public administration's open data catalog is chosen and presented.
Cloud computing services in Czech republic

Modern approaches of providing services such as cloud computing are increasingly used worldwide, and it is a promising way to provide information technology services. Cloud computing promises to increase the efficiency of the management of information technology services, optimize costs and also allows rapid deployment of IT services. The aim of this work is to find where to utilize cloud computing services in the Czech Republic, and how. The objectives were realized through research. Subsequently based on the results of this research there is proposed a model for selecting cloud management solutions for businesses in the Czech Republic. Studies were conducted, among others, in form of a questionnaire survey aimed to analyze the current situation and to deliver data for subsequent analysis of the interaction between the factors that may affect the organization during selection of cloud solutions. Further research was focused on the analysis of the conditions of the Czech Republic in terms of cloud computing and to find differences that distinguish the Czech Republic from other countries around the world. The thesis brings realization of the proposed model that will help organizations to decide whether and how to use cloud services, an overview of the current situation and analysis of the specifics that affect cloud services in the Czech Republic.

This thesis deals with the concept of corporate performance management. The main goal is to present the main aspects of business performance and prosperity and according to this find the way to prosperity. The work is divided into several parts. The first part is focused on the theoretical basis of business management prosperity. The second part deals with the concept of performance management. The third part deals with the forecasting function. The last part is the application of theoretical knowledge from previous sections. Unfortunately, the area of corporate performance management and business prosperity is so broad and the scope of this thesis is limited. This applies to the methods that can be used. Emphasis was placed on the most used methods. The thesis should provide a comprehensive view on this issue.
Cyber security and legislation of the Czech Republic

Contemporary society is increasingly influenced by computers and internet environment and it meets with issues related to cybercrime. There are already a number of laws, whether at EU or national governments, which are trying to reduce or prevent risks associated with hackers, cyber terrorism or any other illegal activities in cyberspace. Thesis "Cyber security and legislation of the Czech Republic", is divided into two main parts. In the first theoretical part, the reader apprise with cybercrime in general. You can read about methods of investigation, types of illegal activities and how to prevent such practices. The second part consists of an analysis of the current legislation of the Czech Republic, EU and Legislative intent of the law on cyber security. I will describe the bill, analyze and appraise its benefits to society. In conclusion of this thesis, I will summarize the achievement of results and objectives of the work.
The development of "Blue Ocean" strategy concept

The strategic concept of "blue oceans" is currently undoubtedly one of the most interesting and most often talked strategic concepts. The thesis is therefore deals with the development of this strategic concept at the time and on the basis of previous papers of the authors in which were introduced tools and frameworks that later became part of the blue ocean strategy concept. The thesis also deals with other publications that the idea of the concept uses in own frames or in some way continues to build upon it. Further a description of the whole strategic concept is presented with each of analytical framework and tool with emphasis on additional context and findings of the section on the recent development of the concept. A key part of the thesis is the application of the concept to the three services - Knihovnička.cz Prezi and the Steam and evavulation of these tools with emphasis to the conclusions that have been made in the recent development of the strategic concept of "blue oceans" and its application.
