The Application of Fuzzy Logic for Evaluation of Quality of Customers
Paul, Lukáš ; Studený, Aleš (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
Master thesis deals with the evaluation of the quality of customers of the company ALVAO, s.r.o., using fuzzy logic. MS Excel and MATLAB programs were used for this evaluation, in which models will be created and programmed. The introductory part of the work is devoted to the theoretical background, which is necessary for understanding the whole issue. The second part of the work presents the company ALVAO, s. r. o.. In the design, main, part of the work are processed fuzzy models and a demonstration of the evaluation of real customers of the company.
The Application of Fuzzy Logic for Evaluation of Quality of Customers
Gábrle, Michal ; Šebestová, Monika (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with fuzzy logic and its use in business activities of a distribution company. Two models using fuzzy set theory are presented. These models are able to evaluate quality of customers through their attributes. Based on these calculations, they are classified into several price categories which differ in margin.
Management of free capital on the financial market
Malo, Dominik ; Dostál, Petr (referee) ; Budík, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the management of free capital of a selected company on the financial market with a focus on mutual funds and ETFs. The result is the construction and analysis of the potential appreciation of the investment strategy interpreted through historical data and a comparison of the results with alternative options for the appreciation of financial capital, especially in the form of mutual funds.
Macro-Geographical Analysis of Current European Populism (2018)
Bendl, Tomáš ; Dostál, Petr (advisor) ; Kostelecký, Tomáš (referee)
During the last two decades the European societal environment has undergone crucial political transformation. The electoral support and general influence of populist parties and leaders is on the constant rise. The first results of rising populism can be seen, for example, in the so-called erosion of democracy in Hungary and in the British people's decision to leave the EU. An analytical part of this thesis is based on a theoretical framework which is presented in the beginning of this paper. It mainly elaborates on a definition that builds on Mudde's ideological concept and on possible divisions of populism which are used in the thesis. Useful definition and classification of the complex character of the term populism is crucial and allows proper understanding and also further development of the thesis itself. The conceptualisation of main attributes and causes is mainly based on the current literature and especially on the theory of economic grievance and on the Cultural Backlash theory. The first crucial contribution of this thesis is construction of an empirical model which is able to measure and categorise political parties by their level of populism. Closer look at these results created by factor analysis showed that the current success of European populist parties is highly alarming. In...
House in Kašnice
Dostál, Petr ; Pilinszki, Martin (referee) ; Müller, Jan (advisor)
The content of this bachelot thesis is the design of a new family house in village Kašnice. The new building has 1 above-ground floor and a partial basement. The construction is based on strip foundation. The vertical supporting structures in the patrial basement are designed from concrete formwork and the rest of vertical supporting are designed from ceramic masonry. The floor is made of cast-in-place reinforced concrete slabs. The roof of the building is warm flat with vegetation layer.
Supplier Risk Assessment Using Fuzzy Logic
Peterek, Daniel ; Doskočil, Radek (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of suppliers for the company Ferrit using fuzzy logic. The main part of the diploma thesis deals with the creation of proposals for the solution of the evaluation of suppliers of a selected company. Decision models are created in Microsoft Excel and MATLAB. The comparison of the results of both proposed models is the content of the part of the work.
Heating and cooling systems in office operations
Dostál, Petr ; Horák, Petr (referee) ; Formánek, Marian (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of the heating and cooling system, inclu-ding hot water preparation for the administrative part of the production hall. The first part of the thesis briefly discusses the history of heating and cooling of office buildings, legislative requirements and current solutions. The second part contains the design of the entire heating and cooling system with heat pump as a source of heat and cold. The final part of the thesis describes the experimental measure-ment and evaluation of the efficiency of the ice rink source.
Log-optimal investment
Král, Stanislav ; Dostál, Petr (advisor) ; Večeř, Jan (referee)
1. Abstrakt Suppose we have a capital, which we will redistribute into investment op- portunities. The financial valuation of these investments will be a sequence of independent, identically distributed random vectors that acquire finite amount of values. We will have full knowledge of the entire history of these valuations before each investment. It turns out that if our strategy is to always maximizes the mean value of the logarithm of the investment value, denoted by Λ∗ , then this strategy is asymptotically the best one possible. If strategy Λ is not asymptotically close to Λ∗ and if x goes to infinity, then the mean of the time we earn atleast x using Λ∗ is infinitely smaller than the time if we used Λ. We also earn infinitely times more money using the strategy Λ∗ . 1
Stochastic analysis with applications in finance
Petrášová, Libuša ; Dostál, Petr (advisor) ; Maslowski, Bohdan (referee)
The purpose of the thesis is to provide a useful concept in the framework of stochastic analysis applicable in finance. The thesis offers proof for Doob- Meyer theorem for boundend martingales which is then extended for local martingales. It also proves the strong Markov theorem for Wiener process and some of its significant consequences. The built framework is then used for creating a method for solution of different tasks in applied finance. 1
