Ant Colony Optimization Algorithms for Shortest Path Problems - Java implementation
Dostál, Marek ; Miškařík, Kamil (referee) ; Matoušek, Radomil (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with ant colony optimization for shortest path problems. In the theoretical part it describes Ant Colony Optimization. In the practical part ant colony optimization algorithms are selected for the design and implementation of shortest path problems in the Java.
Adobe Flash – interactive presentation (optimization)
Dostál, Marek ; Matoušek, Radomil (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is basic description of the selected optimization methods. Creation of two demo applications for numerical optimization, and three demo applications for soft-computing optimization. Created applications should contain help, briefly describing the appropriate method. Write e-documentation for developed applications.
System of adaptive rear axle steering
Dostál, Marek ; Fojtášek, Jan (referee) ; Míša, Jiří (advisor)
The topic of this master’s thesis is the design and optimization of adaptive rear axle steering algorithm used on a Formula Student race car. The main goal of the thesis is to analyse a vehicle transient state to develop a vehicle dynamics control system by changing rear wheel slip angles. A steering function was built, which was then optimised by MBS simulations. Simulations were validated by measurement with Correvit optical sensor. Additionally, the steering function algorithm was improved by rear axle compliance compensation. Compliance in lateral direction was measured on the real car. Finally, the whole mechanism has been assembled and tested.
Concept Study of Rear Wheel Steering
Dostál, Marek ; Šebela, Kamil (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on study of rear wheel steering system used on Formula Student car. Construction of the mechanism is based on calculations of forces acting on tire during various driving situations. Dual system using two electric actuators was chosen for this application. This solution allows turning each wheel independently. Actuators were designed as a part of the toe rod. Also steering function concept based on vehicle speed and steering wheel input was designed with aim to compensate chassis side slip angle. In the end, multibody simulations of the designed system are made with assessment to performance benefit.
3D-printed calibration phantoms for imaging systems
Fasura, Dominik ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Dostál, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the production of calibration phantoms for imaging systems using 3D printing. It presents the calibration methods according to the recommendations of the state Office for Nuclear Safety (SÚJB) and the calibration phantoms used at the Brno University Hospital. Furthermore, the basic theory of 3D printing, the technologies used, modification of the model in the slicer, setting parameters for subsequent printing. Calibration phantoms are modelled in Fusion 360 and then printed on Original Prusa i3 MK3S+ printer with MMU2S upgrade. Subsequently, the calibration phantoms are tested on computed tomography. The results are compared with the available phantoms at the department.

Title: Imaging of fluorescently labelled mitochondria using Biplane FPALM microscopy Author: Bc. Marek Dostál Department: Fyzikální ústav UK Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Jaromír Plášek, CSc. Consultants: RNDr. Petr Ježek, DrSc. Mgr. Hana Engstová, Ph.D. Abstract: In this thesis the results are presented of a search for suitable PCFP markers for a visualization inner and outer mitochondrial membranes by unique biplane FPALM microscope. We participated in debugging the measuring software for the purpose of 3D vizualization mitochondrial nets and determine their parameters. For this purpose were developed two methods. The first one can be applied to determine the parametrs of outer membranes and the second one is applicable to determine parametrs of inner membranes. On smaller statistical file we managed to confirm dependence quality of mitochondrial net on the cell culture conditions. Under stress conditions e.g. hypoxia the quality of mitochondrial net is changed. Keywords: mitochondria, Biplane FPALM, GFP, 3D visualization.

Title: Fluorescence spectroscopy of calcofluor stained yeast cell suspensions Author: Marek Dostál Department: Fyzikální ústav UK Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Jaromír Plášek CSc. Abstract: We were finding and we found fast and easy fluorescence spectroscopy method which we can use for cell wall research of different yeast types that were cultivated on various medium. Gauging was under way in solution of different ionic forces. The growth medium has the greatest effect on quality of cell wall. We use calcofluor as fluorescent colour. After exposing calcofluor by UV (λex ≈ 365 nm) calcofluor emites blue fluorescence with maximum intensity around 420 nm in dependence on suspension concentration. We must be careful about inner filter that can influence our result during research. We validated diversity of cell wall structures in various yeast types by ratio spectral method (spectral fingerprint). Keywords: Fluorescence, spectroscopy, cell wall, calcofluor, inner filter.
