Direct solid sampling electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry
Dočekal, Bohumil
The lecture summarizes why and how to use direct solid sampling analysis by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry.
Characterization of metal accessability in soils by investigation of influence of moisture content on response in DGT technique
Mládková, Z. ; Dočekalová, H. ; Dočekal, Bohumil
Metal accessability in soils was studied by investigation of influence of moisture content on response in DGT technique.
Identification of volatile contaminants in air and atmospheric aerosol in agricultural enviroment
Hrdlička, Jan ; Večeřa, Zbyněk ; Mikuška, Pavel ; Dočekal, Bohumil ; Ciganek, M.
We present sampling and analysis of volatile and semi-volatile organic polutants using a cylindrical wet effluent diffusion denuder and atmospheric aerosols on filters in agricultural enviroment
In situ trapping of hydride forming elements within miniature atomizers New observations
Dočekal, Bohumil
New miniature atomization/collection devices were designed for in situ trapping of hydride forming elements. The performance of those based on graphite, bare and modified, and on other refractory materials (W, Mo) was investigated with respect to the efficiency of trapping procedure, influence of experimental parameters, geometry and surface modification, and to atomizer life time, gas composition.
Characterization of soils by the DGT technique
Dočekal, Bohumil ; Smetková, V. ; Dočekalová, H.
The DGT measurement (Diffusive Gradients in Thin films technique) reflects metal ion concentrations in the soil solution, the rate of re-supply from soil to solution and the transport rate of metal ions through the soil. DGT is likely to provide a good surrogate of the bioavailable pool of metals in soils.
Electrothermal vaporization
Dočekal, Bohumil
Utilization of various electrothermal vaporizaton (ETV) devices for sample introduction in inductively coupled plasma based atomic spectrometry methods is discussed. Optimum experimental conditions and design of ETV devices is stressed with respect to transport efficiency of sample introduction, to plasma loading, possible interferences etc.
Slurry nebulization
Dočekal, Bohumil
Application of slurry nebulization techniques for sample introduction in inductively coupled plasma based atomic spectrometry methods is presented. Critical parameters of slurry nebulization and particle size distribution are discussed with respect to transport efficiency of sample introduction, to plasma loading, possible spectral and non-spectral interferences, accuracy and precision of the determination etc.
