Poverty and material deprivation with focus on seniors in Czechia Abstract The diploma thesis adresses the issue of poverty and material deprivation, which are still very actual not only in developing countries but also in highly advanced societies. The initial information is The European Union Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC) from 2019, supplemented by data from Eurostat and the Czech Statistical Office. The target group was defined as persons 65 years old or over. The main goal of the thesis is to determine the chances of being a poor or materially deprived senior based on selected sociodemographic characteristics, which are gender, age groups, marital status and the highest educational attainment. The core analysis was performed using Binary Logistic Regression. The highest odds of being poor or materially deprived comes from single seniors with basic education. The age categories with the highest chance vary in individual analyses, however, they are always 80-84 years of age, 85-89 years of age or 90 years and older. Concerning gender, senior women always have a higher chance to be poor and also materially deprived than senior men. The bachelor thesis analyzes the current situation in selected pig breeding. First, the theoretical part concerning pig breeding is elaborated. In particular, the importance of breeding is described here. Furthermore, the current situation in this area is evaluated and analyzed, both in terms of utility and economics. This section is discussed in more detail and describes the reproduction and production indicators divided into external and internal factors that influence them. From the economic point of view, the total number of pigs in the Czech Republic and the overall economic evaluation are described. Subsequently, a specific pig farm is described. In the practical part is monitored the operation and functioning of pig breeding. Then a SWOT analysis is elaborated on the basis of which possible optimization solutions are proposed.

Development support of the US: Case study of assistance in Iraq

This bachelor's thesis deals with effectiveness of development cooperation and democracy promotion of United States of America in Iraq. The US provides the most resources for development cooperation in the world at face value. Annually, they define a few tens of billions of dollars from their federal budget. It is a highly debated and controversial topic, whose effectiveness is constantly argued by both politicians and economists. The region of Middle East and North Africa is among the largest recipients of US cooperation. When Iraq and US are debated, everyone imagines the US invasion in Iraq, but they also provide a very voluminous development cooperation. But the question that remains is its effectiveness and its impact on Iraq's development. The first part of the thesis focuses on the basic terminology and types of cooperation, its main theories, motivations and objectives of states for providing development assistance and the basics of democracy support. The second part is devoted to American development support - a brief history of its delivering and attempts to reform it. It also contains a sub-chapter about US institutions through which development cooperation and democracy promotion in the Middle East is delivered. Health determinants and self-perceived life expectancy

Health determinants and self-perceived life expectancy Abstract The bachelor thesis addresses the relationship between selected determinants for people aged 65 and over, and the statements about their self-perceived health, in 2014. EHIS and EU-SILC surveys were used as source information. Selected health determinants belong to lifestyle factors and therefore can be influenced by one's behaviour. These determinants include body mass index, smoking habits and alcohol drinking. The thesis is based on an international comparison of selected health determinants and mortality indicators obtained from Eurostat data on the 28 member states of the European Union. Title of thesis: The case study of physiotherapeutical treatment of patient with diagnosis sutured rupture of quadriceps femoris muscle - vastus medialis et lateralis. Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to process the case study of patient with diagnosis sutured rupture of quadriceps femoris muscle - vastus medialis et lateralis. The thesis is divided into two general parts - the general part and the special part. The general part contains theoretical findings about the disease, options of treatment and therapy. Special part includes case study of the patient, especially the physical examination, therapy, development of treatment and therapy, final evaluation and the effect of therapy. Observation of the slope slides at localities of reclamation at the sites of open-cast mines by geodetic methods.

The project is about the evaluation of 2 stage measurements in local coordinate net Rabenov which were done in 2007. This local coordinate net was set for monitoring of slope shifts at the former mining area near Ústí nad Labem. In concrete terms in south - eastern part of Chabařovice mine. For terrestrial measurements were used total stations Leica TC 1700 and 1800 and GPS measurement on the basis of GPS surveying system Trimble 5700. The achieved values - horizontal angles, oblique distance, and zenithal angles were reduced onto joins of stabilization marks. From these reduced values the coordinates of standpoints were computed by evaluation of three-dimensional net. These determined coordinates were compared with the zero stage of measurement and deviations were computed. Each computation was done by geodetic computer software Rocinante. Next task was the testing of the different types of reflecting targets.
