Baudelaire's personal writings (diaries and correspondence)

The aim of this thesis is to analyze published texts of personal nature of Charles Baudelaire, an important poet of the 19th century, whom we rank among the so-called Cursed Poets. We focus on the texts of the author's diaries and correspondence, in which we analyze important motifs and subsequently observe how it is reflected in his poetic work, especially in the collection of the Flowers of Evil. In this work, we first introduce the author's biography and literary work together with published texts of personal nature, then we focus on the essential part of this work, which are the topics in the aforementioned diaries and correspondence together with their reflection in the author's poetic work. The results of this analysis are summarized in the very conclusion of the thesis.
