Dolování asociačních pravidel jako podpora pro OLAP
Chudán, David ; Svátek, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Máša, Petr (referee) ; Novotný, Ota (referee) ; Kléma, Jiří (referee)
The aim of this work is to identify the possibilities of the complementary usage of two analytical methods of data analysis, OLAP analysis and data mining represented by GUHA association rule mining. The usage of these two methods in the context of proposed scenarios on one dataset presumes a synergistic effect, surpassing the knowledge acquired by these two methods independently. This is the main contribution of the work. Another contribution is the original use of GUHA association rules where the mining is performed on aggregated data. In their abilities, GUHA association rules outperform classic association rules referred to the literature. The experiments on real data demonstrate the finding of unusual trends in data that would be very difficult to acquire using standard methods of OLAP analysis, the time consuming manual browsing of an OLAP cube. On the other hand, the actual use of association rules loses a general overview of data. It is possible to declare that these two methods complement each other very well. The part of the solution is also usage of LMCL scripting language that automates selected parts of the data mining process. The proposed recommender system would shield the user from association rules, thereby enabling common analysts ignorant of the association rules to use their possibilities. The thesis combines quantitative and qualitative research. Quantitative research is represented by experiments on a real dataset, proposal of a recommender system and implementation of the selected parts of the association rules mining process by LISp-Miner Control Language. Qualitative research is represented by structured interviews with selected experts from the fields of data mining and business intelligence who confirm the meaningfulness of the proposed methods.

Chval, Martin ; Pinkas, Otakar (advisor) ; Chudán, David (referee)
The topic of this bachelor thesis is HTML5 and CSS3 standard. Both of these specifications are currently still under development and subject to changes. The aim is to examine current state of these specifications, its support in desktop and mobile internet browsers and test their new features in practical part of the thesis. The thesis is divided into several chapters. Theoretical chapters are describing history of both specifications, followed by description of several new features and properties, final parts contain tables with data on support of these features in widespread browsers. The HTML part contains informations about new work plans on this specification. Short chapter of this thesis contains informations about presence of HTML5 and CSS3 on Czech Internet. Practical part describes design and implementation of website with help of the new features. Research was done by comparing current and previous versions of standards. Evaluation of browser support was based on data found on Internet. New features were tested and part of them implemented in practical part of thesis. Contribution of this thesis is summary of current state of these specification and level of their support in internet browsers. Support for features of both specification is steadily getting better. As a result, it is already possible to use their advantages. Part of issues caused by their bad support in old browsers could be evaded in near future. Both specifications contain promising features that will lead to better and more accessible websites.
Designing a database and an application as a parametric web page for hotel owners
Menzel, Aleš ; Palovská, Helena (advisor) ; Chudán, David (referee)
This thesis consists of analysing database requirements, designing and creating a database for the needs of a reservation system and its corresponding parts. The purpose of this thesis is the practical implementation of the database and subsequently creating an application in the form of an administration interface, which is implemented in MySQL database platform and web technologies. Objective of the application is to provide complex system, which connects the parametric administration system with web pages in such a way, that the administrator of the application can manage the application from within the administration section. Requirements for this application and database are based on analysing the competitor's products and my own experience with creating a web application for a small pension. The goal is achieved by designing a flawless database and implementing the application. Furthermore the application proves and validates the database implementation by using test data. Main contribution of the thesis is completed application based on a high quality database model that is ready for deployment in practice. Structure of the thesis consists of two parts. First part describes theoretical basics that are important to know before designing a database and a short introduction to history of database models. The second part is dedicated to designing the database itself.

Combining OLAP and data mining for analysis on trainee dataset
Borokshinova, Anastasia ; Chudán, David (advisor) ; Šimůnek, Milan (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to show the possibility of combining two data analyses techniques OLAP and data mining in a certain area. The principal method of achieving the aim will be continuous comparison and check of acquired results using two techniques. A practise dataset on credits provided to physical persons is used for practical application. The data analysis will be performed using Power Pivot MS Excel complement and LISp-Miner system. For work with LISp-System the 4ft Miner procedure will specifically be used, which proceeds according to respected CRISP-DM data mining methodology. The thesis added value consists first of all in presentation of a possibility of OLAP and data mining linkage on the same dataset, thus reducing the number of erroneous conclusions which analysers might arrive at on the basis of one technique. Other benefits consist in presentation of relational data transfer to multi-dimensional structure and practical options of 4ft-Miner system LISp-Miner procedure usage.
