Multispectral Map Building in Mobile Robotics
Burian, František ; Mazal,, Jan (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (referee) ; Žalud, Luděk (advisor)
The dissertation deals with utilisation of multispectral optical measurement for data fusion that may be used for visual telepresence and indoor/outdoor mapping by heterogeneous mobile robotic system. Optical proximity sensors, thermal imagers, and tricolour cameras are used for the fusion. The described algorithms are optimised to work in real-time and implemented on CASSANDRA robotic system made by our robotic research group.
Wheelchair
Kutnar, Pavel ; Burian, František (referee) ; Šembera, Jaroslav (advisor)
Thesis describes the design, development and testing of new control unit of the wheelchair. Odometry, complete control of the wheelchair and a simple communication protocol provides to superior sytem an opportunity of autonomous control. The document contains a description of the wheelchair modifications, odometry theory including its application and a description of the unit itself. The basis of the electronic part is an ATmega16 microcontroller. Tests reveal problems of odometry and suggest possible improvements.
Control System for Outdoor Mobile Robot
Skočdopole, Tomáš ; Burian, František (referee) ; Žalud, Luděk (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is the design and practical realization of control system based on operating system GNU/Linux for mobile robots operating outdoors. The task of the robot is automatically driving through waypoints in a previously unknown environment. First part contains a description of the environment for the implementation of software, introduces individual parts of the software and then describes communication with the robot peripherals. The second section describes the solution of control and navigation algorithms. At first shows a way to enter the path for independently moving, next an introduction to image processing from the camera and at last determining the direction of movement based on data obtained from the sensory subsystem.
Omnidirectional chassis control
Hrazdira, Adam ; Burian, František (referee) ; Šembera, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design and implement software for omnidirectional chassis control. The document takes into account a real model of the chassis. Furthermore, the text presents the principles of the chassis and the client program for control. In the end the possibility of communication and control with Matlab Simulink environment is discussed.
Robotic devices for disabled
Dojava, Marian ; Burian, František (referee) ; Šembera, Jaroslav (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is a improvement of a wheelchair. It is need to facilitate placing a wheelchair into a car of person with disability. The solvent of this problem is especially realizing of a remote control. This thesis deals with implementation communication between the selected components and it deals with implementation the integral system, too.
Indoor Robot - Sensoty Subsystem
Mlatecová, Hana ; Burian, František (referee) ; Žalud, Luděk (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with problematic of mobile robots, especially with the sensory subsystem. It provides the information of robot’s vicinity and orientation to global and local navigation. Global navigation is based on self-organizing neuron map. Document includes the analysis of situation and design of sensory subsystem for specified robot.
Autonomous Control System for Mobile Platform
Kříž, Vlastimil ; Burian, František (referee) ; Žalud, Luděk (advisor)
This work undertake the design of autonomous control system for mobile platform – slot car – for the Freescale Race Challenge 2009. The aim is to draw and implement control system, which will be able to drive the car trough the previously unknow path in the shortest time. In work is described factors that affect runing the car and draw optimal driving style. Then sensors for the car, type of motor control and control unit are chosen. The algorithms for maping the profile and for lap recognition are developed. Next the realization of the systém are descripted.
Sensory system of mobile robot
Pata, Jaroslav ; Žalud, Luděk (referee) ; Burian, František (advisor)
This work deals with development and implementation of sensory system of mobile robot. Sensory modules will be connected to the main control unit of the robot. Communication bus should be chosen. This bus must be reliable and extensible. Expected skills: Programming of microcontrollers AVR, desing and production of printed circuit board and knowledge of principles of basic type of sensors.
Position sensors with AVR microcontroller
Haltuf, Martin ; Burian, František (referee) ; Žalud, Luděk (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis deals with possibilities of measurement of location by inertial navigation method. There are described varieties of sensors, which use this method. Large attention is paid to angular speed of gyroscope. In study the characterization of AVR microcontroller of Atmel Company is given. The ATmega microcontroller AVR series is used design of simple device for measurement of localization of mobile robot by the digital Analog Device gyroscope.
Sensory Subsystem for Outdoor Robot
Skácel, Martin ; Burian, František (referee) ; Žalud, Luděk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with designing and implementation of sensorial equipment of a robot which travels according to set GPS. This sensorial equipment is designed with using sensors for measuring robot surroundings and robot parameters. This equipment includes an instruction control unit, which gains data from the sensors and transfers the data to the other systems of the robot. This sensorial equipment is designed as modular for assuring an easy expansion with other sensors.
