Analysis and Proposals of Possible CSR Activities at the Faculty of Business Administration of University of Economics, Prague

Universities should contribute to the education of socially responsible citizens. To accomplish this goal, universities focus on education and they set a good example. Furthermore socially responsible behaviour will increase competitiveness and it will strengthen the university image. The aim of this thesis is to analyse socially responsible activities including students' satisfaction with the level of social responsibility at the Faculty of Business Administration of University of Economics, Prague and to define possible improvements that will generate positive impact on Faculty's reputation. To reach the goal the study of Faculty's documents and the students' opinion survey were carried out. The results have shown that the Faculty performs a lot of socially responsible activities that are highly appreciated by students. Nevertheless some opportunities for improvement were identified especially in the field of strategic management and communication.
Business plan for the selected company

As a topic of my thesis I chose to prepare a business plan for the company HOMEPLUS Service Ltd. HOMEPLUS is a small service company, which at the moment has been going through a substantial restructuring and has been looking for a new potential on the market by supplementing the current range products by a new assortment. At this point, is divided into two sections: gastro and solar systems. Within the section gastro supplies and installs all the equipment for restaurants, especially draft equipments. In the section of solar systems, has been newly trying to promote the sale and installation of solar heating systems and other equipment. The aim of this work was to prepare a real business plan for 2012 for this company which will be applied in practice by the company owner. The work is divided into two parts. The first part is devoted to theory. The second part include real business plan for 2012 for the company Homeplus Service Ltd.
Effectivity of teambuilding

The goal of this bachelor thesis is to define key factors which contribute to effective teambuilding. There are defined terms such as team and teambuilding in the first section. Subsequently, the thesis concentrates on the detailed analysis of individual teambuilding factors. In this part, hiring of employees, characteristics of a good team leader, setting goals of employees, conditions of long-term team effectivity, diverting and training programmes are concerned. In the second section the analysis of a team of administrative workers of Plzeňský Prazdroj, a. s. is carried out. This analysis is based on interviews with team workers, but also questionnaires, observation and the study of corporate materials were used. Thanks to this analysis I found out that the corporation has perfect system of employees selection, goals setting and long-term teambuilding. However, They do not take full advantage of training programmes.
Marketing strategy of the company providing services

This thesis focuses on the marketing strategy of Golf Club Český Krumlov, a newly established company, which deals with golf services in South Bohemia, a region attractive for tourism, including the world famous historical town of Český Krumlov. The goal of this thesis is to introduce the activities and operation of Golf Club Český Krumlov, to analyse its current marketing strategy, and to suggest possible changes to this strategy. I achieved this goal by applying various marketing analyses and by conducting survey among current customers. Based on results of these analyses, I suggested changes that could help this company to keep its current customers and attract new ones.
