The second Roman ride of the Charles the Fourth

The thesis "The Second Roman Ride of the Charles the Fourth" tries to cover the whole campaign of the Emperor Charles IV. between years 1368 and 1369. Also, thesis follows the basic questions related to the issues of the royal court during the journey. The first of those questions is about accompaniment of the Emperor Charles IV. on his journey across the Italian territory and how the court was transformed during the ride to Rome and back. The second question points out the effort to build the court of the Elizabeth of Pomerania, who was crucial person of the second Roman ride where she did not travel alongside the emperor. The last question attempts to describe the undergirding of the court during the campaign in italian cities - how the emperor and his court was accepted and welcomed, accommodated, supllied and gifted.
The Strakonice league in the struggle over power in the Kingdom of Bohemia in the middle of the 15th century

This thesis concerns the Strakonice league, an association of largely Catholic estates of 1449. It tries to conceive the topic in another way, than the older literature did, which did not pay attention to the Strakonice league not specially, but dealed with it mostly in the frame of the description of Bohemian political and military history. The thesis tries to bring new pieces of knowledge of the Strakonice league by means of analyse of correspondence of the lords of Rosenberg (Rožmberk) and of another sources. Concerning the course of the military and diplomatic struggle with the Poděbrady league itself, the emphasis is put on selected, less known aspects. The relation of the Strakonice league to the lands adjoining the Czech crown and to foreign countries, where the league was looking for allies, is elaborated separately. The last big section of the thesis concerns the league members. This section is based on collecting of data about individual persons or towns that entered the Strakonice league. There are studied their political career, motivation for their entrance into the league, possesion and their relations to each other. Social and Political Growth of the Kostka of Postupice in the second half of 15th century

This bachelor thesis deals with a noble family of the Kostka of Postupice and outlines its history during 15th century highlighting particular members of the noble family. Since Vilém I. Kostka of Postupice was given an entry by the ceasar Sigmund Luxembourg into an estate of Litomyšl Bishopric, we can follow the growth of the noble family. One of the most striking personalities of the period was Zdeněk III. Kostka of Postupice, who was holding a lot of diplomatic dealings on behalf of the George of Poděbrady. He also became the highest coin-master of the Bohemian kingdom, he was in Royal Council session and participated in Royal Court trials. All of those activities were a reason why he was ennobled. Thanks to Zdeněk III. Kostka of Postupice the Kostka noble family became one of the wealthiest and most powerful Calixtin families in the Bohemian kingrom.
The Diets of Bohemia in the Years 1500-1526

The Bohemian land diet represents one of the most important institutions of the Bohemian estate monarchy in the late Middle Ages and early modern period, whose actions had considerable influence not only on the Czech kingdom itself, but often touched whole Land of the Bohemian Crown and surrounding states. This master thesis deals with the Bohemian Land Diets extensively between the years 1500 to 1526, focusing on how disability aspects of the functioning of the then land diets in the estates society and on individual topics and problems, which were on the diets discussed. Thesis deals with the organization of the diets, which are described and evaluated from their initiating, via the usual course of negotiations and meetings until their closure and completion. Particular areas of their interests are processed in the form of thematic summary of the topics of their negotiations.
Clerical life at Žebrák in the high Middle Ages

The main subject of the Bachelor's degree work is monitoring the Church administration in the region in 14th century and at the beginning of the 15th century. The region Žebrácko laid in the deanery of Brdy, whose structure the author describes in the first part of the work. On the basis of the analysis of the sources, the author seeks to create an inventory of parish priests in the parish churches of St. William in Praskolesy, St. Giles in Hořovice and St. Lawrence in Žebrák. The work describes the mobility, education and other activities of individual parish priests. The author also explains the issue of the chapel of St. Procopius, in Praskolesy, in which were found the frescoes in 2005 from 14th century. The work also deals with the question of the patrons rights of individual churches. In this context, the author describes the rotation of the owners in selected areas, as it often held the patrons rights. The last part of the work deals with the Visitation protocol of the Prague achdeacon Paul of Janovice from the years 1379 -1382. The work describes his journey by the deanery of Brdy and focuses on the canonical visitation of monitored sites. John Henry, margrave of Moravia, and his wife Margaret of Tropau

This thesis deals with life of John Henry of Luxembourg and his second wife Margaret of Troppau. Their marriage life had important part in politics of Charles IV, who was master of marriage policy. Work is based on sources, in which Margaret of Troppau is mentioned. For example chronicles, acts and bills. First chapter is about terminology of marriage, then there is short chapter about first marriage of John Henry and Margaret, countess of Tyrol. Family of Margaret of Troppau is also mentioned. Main part of the work is about marriage of John Henry and Margaret of Troppau, but we cannot say anything definite. Bachelor work would like get to know family life of margraves, where they lived, how their court looked like or what happened to their children. The social status of members of the Unity of the Brethren in Mladá Boleslav in the early 17th century

The Unity of the Brethren has a rich history in Mladá Boleslav. This thesis focused on the social status of members of the Unity of the Brethren in Mladá Boleslav in the early 17th century. The basic source, from which the research is based, is a part of a unique finding of the Brethren Church correspondence, which had been found in 2006. This is the registra of Boleslav corps Church from the years 1610 and 1611. By the processing and evaluation of entries in these registers is determined by amount of members of the Corps unity and their percentage representation of Bohemian Brethren in the population of the city. The participation of members of the Unity in the administration of the city has been identified according to the data in the indexes and records preserved in the books of the early 17th century. The work also pays attention to the representation of Bohemian Brethren in the leading positions of individual guilds in Mladá Boleslav. The subject of research is also the property status of the members of the Unity corps in Mladá Boleslav. Research found that in 1610 and 1611 members of the Unity corps in Mladá Boleslav were 17 % to 18 % of the population of the city. Czech-Meissen Frontier in the Time of the Reign of Jan of Luxembourg

This bachelor's thesis deals with the process of creating power-political support by the governor and focuses on the border area of the north-west and partly also north Bohemia. It is trying to present methods of the Czech monarch with which he could overcome a strong interior opposition including leading members of the Czech aristocracy such as John of Vartemberk and create a system of power support with which he could accomplish plans of his internal and foreign policies. It is therefore trying to determine to what extent the Czech king, John of Bohemia, employed Western European feudal principles, dynastic policy and also influence of municipality as a means of creating support in strategically important regions and how successful he was in his activity. A view of the expansive activities of the Czech governors in the Czech-Meissen area in 11-13th century and in connection with it also a brief outline of the expansive concern of the Premyslid dynasty competitors on the other side of the border, margraves of Meissen and since 1248 also landgraves of Thuringia of House of Wettin is also a part of this bachelor's thesis.
