Anorectal dysfunction in multiple sclerosis

This thesis is interested in summary of anorectal dysfunction in patients with sclerosis multiplex. This thesis is divided into 2 parts. The objective of the first part is a description of the anorectal dysfuntions. It also includes epidemiological data, dividing, investigating algorithms and possibilities of therapy. The second part is consisting of the case report of pacient with fecal incontinence who underwent the physiotherapy. Her medical history, individual therapy according to kinesiological analysis, evaluation by rectoanal manometry and subjective questionnaire are widely described within. Therapy is assessed by standardised questionnaire Fecal Incontinence Quality of Life Scale and St. Marks Continence Scale. The anorectal manometry evaluates the function of anal sphincters while at rest, during a voluntary contraction and also subcribes sensitivity of rectum. The subjective questionnaires reflect the psychosocial aspects and patient's quality of life. The analysis of fuction and kinesiological analysis were performed before and after physiotherapy and then after 3 months of hometherapy.

Movement options in individuals with dyslexia

This research bachelor thesis titled "Physical Options in Dyslexic Individuals" highlights the issue of this specific learning disorder. It summarizes current knowledge about dyslexia in physiotherapy, rehabilitation and other appropriate physical activities. The work is divided into three parts. The theoretical part describes dyslexia within other specific learning disorders, determines its definition, typology and the search for causes of its origin. Herein, it depicts the knowledge in terms of building diversity and the functioning of the CNS and the reading process. The next section focuses on the secondary manifestations of this disorder. The special part deals with dyslexia in the context of physiotherapy, its influence on postural control. It compares current methods that try to move their postural system, movement skills and the disorder itself. This part offers an overview of appropriate therapies and activities for dyslectics. The last practical part is focused on the influence of dyslexia on the postural system of these individuals. The content is an indikative examination that compares 12 dyslectic individuals with each other. Movement therapy in the residential substance abuse treatment

This thesis is a discussion of the possibilities of using movement therapy as a complementary method within the context of medium-term or long-term institutional treatment of addictions. It is divided into 3 parts. The objective of the first part is to describe the basic concepts and to disseminate the information regarding addiction consequences and its causes. It also includes epidemiological data, a deconstruction of the system of medical care, and the basic tools used in the substance abuse treatment. Complementary to this, special parts map the possibilities of the use of physical activity involving body-oriented methods. It's objective is to detail the effects of these methods on patients. The positive effects highlighted by my thesis are the reason why the movement interventions should be used as a part of the complex treatment. In the second part, common illnesses that lie among addicted people are further examined, mapping the treatment of these diseases through the use of physical therapy. The practical, third part involves the qualitative data and contains the case report of a patient who is dependent on several addictive substances and is currently undergoing the treatment in a psychiatric hospital. Psychomotor development of preschool children with hearing empairment - possibilities of psychotherapeutical intervention

Bachelor thesis on Psychomotor development of preschool children with hearing impairment - possibilities of physiotherapeutic intervention is processed in the form of case study research. The work is divided into three parts. The first part contains basic information about a hearing impairment and an interduction into specifics of education and psychomotor development of a preschool child. The main part of the work is concetrated on senzomotor deficits that are conected to hearing impairment of children. Lot of studies concerning this topic are comprised in this part. The third, practical, part contains a case study of two children - one healthy and one with a perceptional hearing defect. Based on the mentioned studies an examination with later comparism of senzomotor functions of both children was performed.

Effectivness of vestibular stimulation in patients with postural stability disorder

The diploma thesis summarizes physiology of vestibular system and disorders of vestibular system. In experimental part we observe the influence of vestibular stimulation on static postural stability. We achieve vestibular stimulation by active and repeated head and body movements. We measure the lenght of COP trajectory using stabilometry. We tested two groups of persons, 20 healthy persons aged 21 - 49 years and 6 patients with postural stability disorder from vestibular origin aged 40 - 76 years. The changes in lenght of trajectory COP after vestibular stimulation were not statistically significant in any group, but for each patient, there was a change in lenght of trajectory of COP. Femoroacetabular impingement of players of table tennis

Introduction: Question of femoroacetabular impingement is very actual. This young concept brings mechanism which leads to early degenerative changes of the hip joint of young and active individuals (athletes). Objectives: To review influence of sport activity on condition of the hip joint of young athletes (players of table tennis) and to determine incidence of femoroacetabular impingement and its clinical significance. Methods: We performed ultrasound and clinical examination and questionnaire with 22 individuals from 2 training groups. Groups vary in age, height, weight, volume of sport activity and how long they do sports. We found out incidence of cam-type impingement and evaluated pain of anterior impingement test, ranges of motions of the hip joint and deep squat. Results: Cam impingement was found in 27 hip joints, 16 in older group, 11 in younger one. In older group there were 12 from 16 impingements painful during anterior impingement test, 4 from 11 in younger one. In older group there were 4 symptomatic individuals, none in younger one. Older group has lower ranges of motion of flexion and internal rotation. 4 individuals did not perform deep squat, all of them with bilateral cam-type impingement. The topic of the thesis is The reflective effect of manipulative therapy on blood pressure. The aim of the thesis is to summarize current knowledge, which talk about the relationship between the ma-nipulative therapy and the changes of blood pressure. One of the purpose of the thesis is to clarify the using of manipulative therapy in the treatment of arterial hypertension. Myofascial headaches causes and physiotherapy treatment option

This bachelor thesis is written in form of background research. The aim of this study was to summarize types of myofascial headaches, causes and treatment options in the field of physical therapy. This thesis focuses as well on comparsion of recent foreign scientific studies concerned with nonfarmacological treatment of headaches in general. First part of the thesis describes forms of headaches, mostly treatable with physical therapy. One chapter is dedicated to myofascial trigger points. In the other part physical therapy treatments are explained and compared individually, enumeration of physical therapy techniques, which are used and signifi cantly effect live in treatments of headaches as migraine, tension type headache and cervigenic headache.
