Autopilot of RC Plane
Denk, Filip ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Mrázek, Vojtěch (advisor)
This thesis is focused on stabilization of the radio-controlled aircraft model. The aim is to create a system that could controll the direction of flight (without pilot intervention) itself. This system also includes determination of the aircraft’s position using a 3-axis gyroscope. The Arduino Uno microcontroller was used as a controll unit.
Advanced Simulator of MSP430 Microcontrollers
Kaluža, Jan ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
The goal of this master's thesis is to provide an introduction to MSP430 microcontrollers and to design a simulator of these microcontrollers, focusing on easy implementation of extensions using peripherals. After a short introduction, the MSP430 microcontrollers are briefly described, including their internal peripherals and the formats used to store the binary executable code. The thesis continues with a  description of discrete event simulation using the DEVS formalism. Based on previous chapters, the new simulator (consisting of a simulation core, graphical user interface and library for MSP430 microcontroller simulation)  is designed and implemented. The implementation is tested by comparison with real microcontroller and in the end of the thesis, there is a summary and evaluation of the implemented simulator.
Evolutionary Optimisation of Analogue Circuits
Mihulka, Tomáš ; Zachariášová, Marcela (referee) ; Bidlo, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this work was to create a system for optimisaton of specific analog circuits by evolution using multiple fitness functions . A set of experiments was run, and the results analyzed to evaluate the feasibility of evolutionary optimisation of analog circuits . A requirement for this goal is the study and choice of certain types of analog circuits and evolutionary algorithms . For the scope of this work , amplifiers and oscillators were chosen as target circuits , and genetic algorithms and evolutionary strategies as evolutionary algorithms . The motivation for this work is the ongoing effort to automate the design and optimisation of analog circuits , where evolutionary optimisation is one of the options .
Cellular Automaton in Dynamical Environment
Bendl, Jaroslav ; Jaroš, Jiří (referee) ; Bidlo, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the method of evolution of cellular automaton capable of self-repair after being damaged by external environment. The described method is based on cellular programming algorithm and uses principles of biological development. Experiments leading to verification of regenerative ability for cellular automaton evolved by this approach are presented in this work.
Evolution of Emergent Behavior in Cellular Systems
Novák, Radim ; Žaloudek, Luděk (referee) ; Bidlo, Michal (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the topic of cellular automata and their utilization in the research of self-replication, especially with the focus on self-replicating loops. It also shows several possible approaches how to optimize the replication process. The first part is focused on theoretical aspects of cellular automata. It acquaints the readers with the questions of self-replication in the cellular automata and present some of the existing self-replicating loops, starting with the widely known Langton's loop. The second part presents the optimization of the replication process considering two selected variants of self-repricating loops - Byl's loop and Chou-Reggia loop. Two approaches are introduced together with their possible combination. The first approach is based on multiple self-replication. The second one is based on the reduction of the number of steps of the cellular automaton needed to create a copy of the loop.
Ant Colony Optimization for Image Processing
Prášek, Matěj ; Jaroš, Jiří (referee) ; Bidlo, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused to edge detection using the Ant Colony Optimization algorithm. I focus on noise reduction, searching for isolated edges and finding optimal parameters for the majority of pictures.
Evolution of Complex Behavior in Cellular Automata
Kontra, Matúš ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Bidlo, Michal (advisor)
Celular automata are one of many alternative models of computation. Massive parallelism and the posibillity to describe their local behaviour in a simple way are of particular interest. This thesis describes a different way of representing the local transfer function of cellular automata, which is particulary suitable for use in genetic algorithm. This representation is based on simple model, mirroring the way instruction based register machines operate. The aim of this publication is to analyze and assess applicability of proposed method.
Bluetooth OBEX FTP Client for Pocket PC
Škarecký, Tomáš ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Škarvada, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelors thesis deals with problematic of Microsoft Windows Mobile device synchronization via Bluetooth technology. It describes principle of data synchronization, Bluetooth technology and application development process for Windows Mobile. \\The design and implementation of synchronizing application is also presented.
Jablotron 100-Based Corporation Access System
Hink, Tomáš ; Zachariášová, Marcela (referee) ; Bidlo, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design and implementation of an enterprise access control system based on the electronic security system Jablotron 100 and its connection with external systems. The bridge with an API interface for controlling the Jablotron 100-based corporation access system has been designed and programmed. This bridge was used to implement the web user interface to control the access system. Furthermore, the concept of collecting attendance data from the Jablotron 100-based system was created.
Evolutionary Design of Moving Objects
Baláž, Martin ; Žaloudek, Luděk (referee) ; Bidlo, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with the utilization of evolutionary techniques to find such environment characteristics, that allow the object in this environment to perform the movement according to specified parameters. The environment which is utilized in this work is a cellular automaton, whose local transition function is optimized using the genetic algorithm. The principles of computational development are applied. The presented work tends to the area of theoretical biology. Its main objective is to create a simple simulator of life of artificial organisms. In particular, movement as a specific aspect of life is considered. For this purpose the application allows the designer to define an organism at the level of cells of the cellular automaton and apply the genetic algorithm to design the transition function specifying the behavior of the organism according to given parameters.
