Plant oils for industry
Beran, Vojtěch ; Ficza, Ildikó (referee) ; Frýza, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes usability of plant oils as liquid greases. The beginning of thesis follow up tribology problems and process of lubrication. The main section describes plant oils from perspective of their chemical composition and its closely related properties. In this thesis, plant oils are compared with another common liquid oils together with the comparison of its properties on specific application. In the conclusion, the thesis deals with summary of plant oils issues and with prospects for the future.
Transformer models for educational purposes
Beran, Vojtěch ; Ctibor, Jiří (referee) ; Pazdera, Ivo (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to project and realize models of transformers in Matlab and Simulink program. Projected models explain the theoretical precondition of the models. The aim is also to create manuals for models usage. The theoretical part bachelor's thesis is focused on transformer theory, which defines the properties, physical quantities, parameters and relations between them. In this part is defined transition from the basic model to models of current and voltage transformer, which forms the basis for the realization of simulations in Simulink. The next part describes vector transformation needed for modeling three phase system, defining the power, voltage and current of the transformer and for change of winding connection. Last part describes non-linear magnetic field. The practical part of the bachelor's thesis is the practical implementation of transformer models in Simulink. Realized models are models of current and voltage transformers. Each model has a form of linear and non-linear model and can work in single-phase or three-phase system. The output of simulation are values and voltage, current and power waveforms for a given load. There is a brief manual for usage for each model.
Determination of pressure in the pipe using foil strain gauge
Beran, Vojtěch ; Dokoupil, Pavel (referee) ; Habán, Vladimír (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with determination of pressure in the pipe using foil strain gauge. It is calculation of the pressure from the measured strain. The main purpose of this work is devise mathematical-technological models to determinate internal pipe pressure from longitudinal deformation. Devised models were used on data from realized experiment and results were compared with real value of pressures in pipes. This thesis contains three models which were mutually compared. Sensitivity analysis were done on two of these models. Thesis also contains opening research of strain gauge problematics. Description of basic knowledge of physical objects mechanic with focusing on shells also belongs to this theoretical part.
Copyright law to visual art
Beran, Vojtěch ; Křesťanová, Veronika (advisor) ; Holcová, Irena (referee)
Resume in English Title of the thesis: Copyright in Artistic Works Abstract: This thesis is dealing with copyright, with regard to the artistic work. After a brief introduction about the sources of copyright in the Czech Republic and the European Union, the explanation of what actually regulations CR mean by "artistic work" follows. There is concluded that the artistic works, whether they are defined by laws in any way, they are somehow protected in all countries of the world. The following part, entitled "The Artistic Work as a Property," explains the difference between the artistic work and its carrier material, i.e. the thing by which the work is expressed, in the laws of Czech Republic. This is a very important hypothesis for all owners of art works, because these are also restricted by copyright of the author and with other laws. The next chapter, 'The rights of copyright owner' focuses on descriptions of the various uses of the work. The Copyright Act of the Czech Republic describes the term "ways of use of the copyrighted work" in general, so it can be applicable to all types of copyrighted works. However, in this thesis, I am using the examples to demonstrate what the different ways of use mean. I described in details the Resale Right (Droit de Suite), which is the right granted to artists or their...

Applying PowerTap device to cycling training
Beran, Vojtěch ; Suchý, Jiří (advisor) ; Horčic, Josef (referee)
ln tbis piece of work is dealt with measurement of watts during cycling training. Analysis and testing of selected cyclicts prove that watt measurement is precise indicator during cycling training, while heart rate monitoring is not so accurate. Due to this fact, measurement of watts is more precise than frequently used heart rate monitoring. This piece ofwork proves that training monitoring is more effective while using watt measurement. Part ofthis work is dedicated to model examples ofcycling training while using Power Tap device in order to help amateur cyclists with training preparation. This work is ment to be a manual for a top performance or professional cyclicts who wish to change their training methods. Key words: Power Tap, model training with watt usage, cycling, lead training
