Effect of water reservoirs to seismicity
Beránek, Roman ; Vilhelm, Jan (advisor) ; Růžek, Bohuslav (referee)
The appearance of seismic activity after construction and filling of a water reservoir has been observed in many places around the world, including localities considered to be formerly aseismic. Occurrence and intensity of these earthquakes are determined by water reservo- irs' parameters, filling and discharging states and by local geological conditions and regional tectonic stress. The thesis firstly deals with two of the world's known significant hydroseis- micity examples and described is also seismicity in Nový Kostel area. The different types of hydroseismicity are thoroughly described along with all the major differences from ordinary earthquakes. The thesis further explains how water reservoirs may affect conditions important for earthquake occurrence such as hydrostatic pressure increase, pore pressure increase, and groundwater flow. These influences are related to water level fluctuations and therefore are described methods to analyze the relationship between earthquake occurrence and water level changes. Classical methods of crosscorrelation and frequency analysis are explained as well as not so common method of SSA (Singular Spectral Analysis). In the last section are all of these methods listed above applied to seismic data from the Nový Kostel area and water level measurements from...
Gravity survey and modeling of geological structures
Beránek, Roman ; Blecha, Vratislav (advisor) ; Beneš, Vojtěch (referee)
This thesis deals with the application of gravity survey to detect and delineate geological structures. The thesis further deals with various processing and interpretation methods, which include the creation of computer-generated models. To meet these goals, the gravity measurement was carried at the locality with the expected presence of abandoned historical mineshaft of known orientation. The goal is therefore to clarify and scrutinize information gained from various historical sources. Different models of survey area were made during the interpretation phase of the survey including 2D and 3D models according to the unknown recent state of the mineshaft. The result of this study is a comparison of several different approaches used in gravity surveys such as methods of elevation measurements, residual drift approximation, regional-residual field separation, source depth estimation, and modelling.

Data backup using cloud services
Beránek, Roman ; Vasilenko, Alexandr (advisor) ; Halbich, Čestmír (referee)
The first part of my bachelor thesis is focused on theoretical pieces of knowledge about backup and its types joins on cloud data centres that clarify the advantages and disadvantages of cloud solution, its security and the point of view of legislation of internet storages. The second part of this paper is practical and its main benefit is evaluation of clouds services as OneDrive for Business, Google Drive for Work and Dropbox Business based on their description of functions and their performed measurements, when was measuring time of upload the data with the same size in these data centres. These services are described also for non-company solutions, but only for reason of the explanation of the differences between corporate and individual use. The particular goals of this work are also characteristic of functions for often used software for automatic backup of Acronis True Image Cloud, Cobian Backup 11 and automatic backup in Windows.
