Rural settlements in the hinterland of Prague in high and late middle ages. Settlement and agriculture development in suburban regions
Beránek, Michal ; Klír, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kypta, Jan (referee)
Master's thesis deals with the micro-region Klánovice's forest and its surroundings on the eastern edge of the City Prague. This area has not been given comprehensive attention yet. The findings are based on a critical review of the humble written and archaeological sources relating to the concerned area. In addition, was made, analysis of archaeological excavation, which was carried out on the deserted village Hol and also geophysical survey from the same site. Based on the lessons learned to better classify and discuss the role of this area in the hinterland of high medieval Prague. Keywords: deserted village, Klánovice forest, Hol, geophysical survey, ceramics, agricultural margins land, high middle ages
Evolutionary Optimization of Freight Transportation
Beránek, Michal ; Drahošová, Michaela (referee) ; Bidlo, Michal (advisor)
The following thesis deals with optimization of freight transport planning. The goal is to minimize expenses connected to transportation, which emerge from travelled distance. The expenses can be heavily reduced, if the routes are correctly planned, especially when there is a large number of customers to be served. This thesis focuses on solving the problem by using the evolutional algorithms, that are optimization methods based on principles of evolution. Thesis concentrates on Heterogeneous Fixed Fleet Vehicle Routing Problem. Thesis introduces multiple evolutional algorithms and their results are compared. The best algorithm, evolutional strategy with local neighbourhood search, achieves similar, for certain tasks even better results, than other existing evolutional algorithms, created to solve given problem.
Reinforcement Learning for 3D Games
Beránek, Michal ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
Thesis deals with neural network learning on simple tasks in 3D shooter Doom, mediated by research platform ViZDoom. The main goal is to create an agent, which is able to learn multiple tasks simultaneously. Reinforcement learning algorithm used to achieve this goal is called Rainbow, which combines several improvements of DQN algorithm. I proposed and experimented with two different architectures of neural network for learning multiple tasks. One of them was successful and after a relatively short period of learning it reached almost 50% of maximum possible reward. The key element of this achievement is an Embedding layer for parametric description of task environment. The main discovery is, that Rainbow is able to learn in 3D environment and with the help of Embedding layer, it is able to learn on multiple tasks simultaneously.

Deserted village Žák. On the problems of early modern settlement forms
Beránek, Michal ; Klápště, Jan (advisor) ; Kypta, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis concerns with the deserted village in the location ák in Klánovice forest. This archaeological site has not been comprehensively researched yet. The findings are based on non-destructive archaeological methods and analysis of analogies of so far surveyed villages. The critical revision of previous modest pieces of knowledge was made, analysis of written sources and a geodetic-topographical survey of the village relicts was carried out especially. It was possible to obtain detailed drawing to restore resident form and to adumbrate the appearance of yards of particular estates.
Potential use of self-tracking in managerial practice
Beránek, Michal ; Charvát, Michal (advisor) ; Novák, Michal (referee)
The theme of this work is the Potential use of Self-Tracking in managerial practice. The aim of this thesis is in the theoretical part aproximace to the reader the concept of Self Tracking how this method works, which makes use of tools and applications. Outlines its use in the management of the company. In the practical part I choose four Self Tracking application, which I will describe and suggest the possibility of their use in the enterprise.
