Motivation of prison Chaplains
Železník, Barbora ; Beneš, Ladislav (advisor) ; Martinek, Michael (referee)
The diploma thesis focuses on the prison chaplains motivation for their work with prisoners. In the theoretical part is offered a comprehensive summary of the prison service topic in which are described some basic concepts of the punishement functions and personnel the chaplain meets in the prison. It also closely describes the prison chaplain profession, the historical beginnings of this service, the prison chaplains church affiliation, conditions for entering this profession, legislation, chaplain role and activities in the prison. Further the thesis deals with a chapter about the motivation topic, which specifies the assumed chaplains motives for this service. Accordingly with the given thesis goal and the research questions, the motivation of prison chaplains is determined in the practical part, with the help of qualitative research. In the research were involved eight prison different genders chaplains, from different churches, prisons and with different time of experience as a prison chaplain. Data were obtained from respondents using a semi-structured interview and then evaluated through analysis. Keywords prison chaplain, motivation, convicted

The final part of the thesis is focused on the process of accompanying, its types, methods, possible problems, accompanying persons and characteristics of the existential crisis.
The church community as an inclusive environment for the disabled (people with mental disabilities)
Tauerová, Blanka Anna ; Macek, Ondřej (advisor) ; Beneš, Ladislav (referee)
The present thesis, entitled Church Communities as Inclusive Environments for People with Disabilities, seeks to map the possibilities of integration and inclusion of people with disabilities into church communities. The necessary introduction is followed by a brief description of intellectual disability so that it becomes clear why these persons are disabled, its definition, diagnosis and manifestations. The work continues with a reflection on the treatment of persons with disabilities in Scripture and a characterization of the new discipline of "disability theology". The thesis then seeks to describe the approach of church communities to persons with disabilities (dignity, spirituality, pastoral care, diaconia), their needs, and the possibilities for integration and inclusion in these communities, as well as the problems of inclusion in church communities. The final part of the thesis discusses research on the issue of intellectual disability and its relationship to church organisations and the actual qualitative research using a phenomenological approach in the form of a semi-structured interview.
Different Boundary Conditions For LES Solver PALM 6.0 Used for ABL in Tunnel Experiment
Řezníček, Hynek ; Geletič, Jan ; Bureš, Martin ; Krč, Pavel ; Resler, Jaroslav ; Vrbová, Kateřina ; Trush, Arsenii ; Michálek, Petr ; Beneš, L. ; Sühring, M.
We tried to reproduce results measured in the wind tunnel experiment with a CFD simulation provided by numerical model PALM. A realistic buildings layout from the Prague-Dejvice quarter has been chosen as a testing domain because solid validation campaign for PALM simulation of Atmospheric Boundary Layer (ABL) over this quarter was documented in the past. The question of input data needed for such simulation and capability of the model to capture correctly the inlet profile and its turbulence structure provided by the wind-tunnel is discussed in the study The PALM dynamical core contains a solver for the Navier-Stokes equations. By default, the model uses the Large Eddy Simulation (LES) approach in which the bulk of the turbulent motions is explicitly resolved. It is well validated tool for simulations of the complex air-flow within the real urban canopy and also within its reduced scale provided by wind tunnel experiments. However the computed flow field between the testing buildings did not correspond well to the measured wind velocity in some points. Different setting of the inlet boundary condition was tested but none of them gave completely developed turbulent flow generated by vortex generators and castellated barrier wall place at the entrance of the aerodynamic section of the wind tunnel.
Analysis of Basic Aspects of the Place and Role of Spiritual Care of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic and the United States of America
Kožušníková, Hana ; Beneš, Ladislav (advisor) ; Macek, Ondřej (referee)
This diploma thesis on the topic Analysis of the Basic Aspects of the Location and Spiritual Care of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic and the United States of America, focuses, as the name suggests, on the comparison of the military spiritual care of two armies, specifically the Army of the Czech Republic and the Army of the United States of America. The focus of the work is a detailed mapping of the basic aspects of the spiritual services of both armies, especially, for example, the requirements for a chaplain candidate, the chaplain's distinction from other armies or the content of their work. Emphasis is also placed on the history of spiritual services, so the work provides a thorough analysis of historical contexts. Finally, a comparison of the main aspects is made. It is placed in a table for better clarity. Based on the information found, we can identify some common features of the Chaplaincy Service of the Army of the Czech Republic and the Chaplain Corps of the United States Army. This is, for example, the ratio of the number of chaplains to the total number of soldiers or a very similar range of tasks. They differ, for example, in the diversity of religious denominations, where chaplains in the American army are not only Christians, but also Muslims, Jews or Buddhists.
Porovnání precizní a konvenční technologie setí u strojů Horsch Pronto 6DC a John Deere 740A
BENEŠ, Ladislav
This bacalary work is about comparison seed drills Horsch Pronto 6 DC and John Deere 740 A in conventional and precision agriculture. Both seed drills are in aggregation with tractor from John Deere of the same power. The main difference is tractor guidance in field. The StarFire 3000 receiver is used against tractor operator manual guidance oriented by the furrow in field. In practical part are compared seed drills in work in field trials. There are made measurement include of area performance seed drills, amount of seed, fuel consumption and time spent at work. Those data shows which technology is economically economical and how much finance brings to future.
Preaching in a time of global pandemic: Reflection on the COVID-19 pandemic in the sermons of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren
Horáková, Magdalena ; Landová, Tabita (advisor) ; Beneš, Ladislav (referee)
