Project for web support for students of Informatics

In the thesis, I deal with a present problem of web support for students, concretely for students of Informatics, taught by Faculty of Informatics and Statistics of The University of Economics, Prague. I offer three different variants of new model of the student web support, based on my own experience with the current model. Each variation is built on the navigation schema. At the end of the thesis I compare all three variants in two different ways. On the results of this comparison I set a final way how to rebuilt the students web support.

Support for teaching of computer courses at the universities of 3rd age

This study deals with teaching computer courses at universities of the third age and the possibilities of support for teaching. First, monitor and compare subjects, aimed at teaching work with the PC for the elderly, which are taught in selected universities. Selection includes Charles University in Prague, Czech Technical University in Prague, Prague University of Economics and University of Mining at the Technical University of Ostrava. This study analyzes the characteristics and differences of teaching courses for seniors, which also compares with the current concepts of teaching common students. The aim of this study is to provide a comparison of available software tools for teaching and learning, based on selected criteria to choose the most appropriate instrument. Describe chosen instrument in detail and create the instructions for produce a teaching tutorial in practical application.

Analysis of the structure and the progression of companies on the ICT market in the Czech republic

This work analyses the structure and the progression of the ICT market in the Czech republic. The first part deal with czech ICT market segmentation with regards to different methods of particular institutions. The next chapter describes specific environment of the Czech republic, factors and conditions influencing the ICT market and companies progression. It is especially focused on macroeconomic development, policy in relation to ICT market, grant policy, flow of foreign direct investment, availability of labour force and relevant information technologies. The work also analyses market progression and related economic indicators such as a market volume measured by expenditures into ICT products and services and share of these expenditures in total GDP as well as expenditures per one employee. In addition it offers a view of progression of foreign trade with ICT products. The main part of this work deal with the structure of companies on the information a communication technology market in the Czech republic. The aim of this part is to analyze basic structural indicators such as number of active firms a its structure in accordance with their residence, legal entity and time of estabilishment, number of employees, revenues per employee or value added generated in ICT sector. The chapter also contains survey of firms from relevant ICT segments ordered by achieved annual turnover.

IT firms in Czech republic and their conpetitive advantage in European Union

In this diploma thesis, I focus on Czech and European market of information technology. My principal aim is to analyze a measure of Czech competitive advantage in this sector. Both global statistic and segment characteristic are subjects of this analysis. My diploma thesis has following structure; after opening definition of literary sources, I deal with brief analyses of Czech IT market. Next two chapters are about European IT market structure and its characteristics. Last section is focused on competitive advantage of Czech Republic.

Analysis of the web sites of the branch of Informatics, the new design

In the thesis, I deal with the problems of presentation of information provided on the web sites of the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics of The University of Economics, Prague. The work is focused on the appropriate presentation of information from both visual and structural aspects. Furthermore, I deal with the issues of electronic information sources analysis and quality evaluations. I result from a general theory of presentation and I proceed according to the selected analytical points. Emphasis is laid on in terms of briefness, lucidity, clarity and affability for users. The work, in its main articles, is oriented on satisfying the informational needs of students and applicants in their main interests. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the actual state and to improve the quality of the web presentation by providing a variety of proposals.

Application development in Ms Office

Cílem této práce je vytvoření komplexního pohledu na tvorbu aplikací v Microsoft Office s využitím VBA. Především potom najít způsob jak jednoduše a především levně a rychle vytvářet tento typ aplikací. V úvodní části práce jsou stručně popsány aplikace sady MSO, které jsou při tvorbě MSO řešení nejvíce používány. Dále je zde popsán postup vývoje v jazyce VBA současně s ním i způsob vývoje aplikací ve Visual Studiu. Jsou zde stručně popsány některé základní metodiky a vůbec historie softwarového inženýrství. V kapitole Guideline pro tvorbu aplikací v MSO, která vytváří největší přínos této práce je popsán vývojový cyklus tvorby aplikací v MSO, který jsem během své praxe vytvořil. Praktická úloha potom popisuje postup tvorby jednoduché aplikace v Ms Access. Práce je určena dvěma základním skupinám osob. Jsou to především ti, kteří jsou v roli analytiku a manažerů pracovišť, kde mají pocit, že neustále mechanicky opakují věci, které by bylo možné zautomatizovat. Dále jsou to potom programátoři, analytici a konzultanti, kteří by chtěli začít vyvíjet řešení postavená na MSO. Hlavním přínosem práce je poskytnutí obecného náhledu na tvorbu tohoto typu aplikací, společně s návodem, jak to činit co nejefektivněji.

eGovernment v České republice

Budování informační společnosti je běh na dlouhou trať. Poprvé se o elektronizaci veřejné správy v České republice začalo jednat již v devadesátých letech minulého století. Od té doby bylo uskutečněno mnoho kroků, od změny zákonů, které staví elektronickou komunikaci na úroveň té běžné, až po elektronizaci papírových dokumentů. Informační společnost zahrnuje mnoho součástí. Jednou z nich je eGovernment, tedy elektronická komunikace mezi úřady veřejné správy a občanem nebo firmou. Jde také o efektivní spolupráci napříč jednotlivými úřady a budování vztahu mezi veřejným a soukromým sektorem. V této diplomové práci bych chtěl zhodnotit stav eGovernmentu v České republice, popsat jeho silné a slabé stránky a srovnat ČR s ostatními zeměmi evropské unie. Nejdříve se věnuji pojmu eGovernment jako takovému a jaké přináši jeho zavedení výhody, ale i problémy. Následně popisuji stav informační společnosti v České republice a v poslední kapitole se srovnávám Českou republiku s ostatními státy evropské unie.

Analysis of telecommunication industry

Tato diplomová práce detailně analyzuje český trh elektronických komunikací. Podrobně jsou zde popsáni všichni hlavní hráči trhu, jejich vývoj a vzájemné vazby. Práce dále analyzuje současné tržní rozdělení na dílčích telekomunikačních segmentech (data, hlas, mobilní produkty), procentuelní zastoupení jednotlivých operátorů, poskytované služby a hlavní zdroje příjmů. Na těchto statistikách jsou potom vystavěny predikce dalšího vývoje trhu a popis hlavních trendů v následujících letech. Samostatná část je věnována problematice podnikání v oboru elektronických komunikací. Ta popisuje pravidla a požadavky vstupu na trh, vymezení nejperspektivnějších oblastí a definice omezujících faktorů. Rozebrány jsou jak finanční, tak také legislativní aspekty. V modelovém příkladu je poskytnuta orientační představa o možných nákladech na stavbu telekomunikačních sítí, značný prostor je věnován také hlavním právním normám, které tuto oblast upravují.

Trendy v e-learningu vo svete a v Českej republike

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá problematikou vývoja e-learningu v krajinách Európskej únie, Spojených štátoch amerických a v Českej republike. Prvá časť práce je venovaná obecnému predstaveniu e-learningu, jeho základným zložkám, štandardom a SWOT analýze. V ďalšej časti sú vyhodnotené údaje z rôznych štatistických úradov, na základe ktorých som sa snažil zistiť infraštrukturálne podmienky v jednotlivých krajinách, vybavenosť domácností a škôl počítačmi a internetom. Mojou snahou bolo poukázať na to , ktoré krajiny sú lídrom a ktoré zaostávajú v danej oblasti. Praktická časť sa venuje najmä vývojovým trendom. Na základe štyroch vyhodnotených systémov som sa snažil zmapovať situáciu na Českom trhu aby som v poslednej časti tejto práce mohol určiť smery vývoja doma a v zahraničí. Autorským prínosom tejto práce je komplexné predstavenie e-learningu, od histórie, cez súčasnú situáciu až k predpokladanému budúcemu vývoju.
