Financial analysis of company Mlékárna Hlinsko s.r.o. - readiness for a merger

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the readiness of the enterprise Mlékárna Hlinsko s.r.o. for a merger, in terms of its financial health. Mlékárna Hlinsko s.r.o. was chosen because of her outstanding ability to deal with fluctuating market trends of dairy products in recent years. The thesis is divided into several parts. The first part is devoted to the overview of the companies' scope of business, profile and history, as well as its organizational structure. Another section focuses on the specific application of the financial analysis of Mlékárna Hlinsko s.r.o. In the strategic analysis, we define the macro and micro environment that is common for the dairy sector; we processed Porter, SWOT analysis and the analysis of competitiveness. Subsequent part contains the financial plan and mainly focuses on determining of the value generators. It was based on forecasted sales through defining the relevant market. Consequently, we evaluated the company using the accounting method and the two-phase model; we also compared the results of methods. In the final section, we summarized the results of the analysis and specified the conditions under which the merger has been happening. Finally, we can conclude that the company has become a suitable object for a merger with strategic partner. It has been able to cope with negative impacts of the crisis, achieved good economic results, maintain liquidity and fulfill all obligations.
The regional integration in Africa-chosen aspects

Disintegration of colonial system during the period of 1960s enabled the emergence of a group of developing countries, that broke out from political addiction and started independent operation. In the region of African countries the decolonisation was rounded out in the 1960 when the first african regional integrations were established. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the development of African regionalism (its chosen aspects), as well as other coherent agreements of cooperation. The thesis focuses on the answers to ulterior questions: Is it possible for Africa to get over huge economic and social backwardness? How did the African regionalism develop in substantially different parts of this continent? What are the results of economic cooperation between EU and Africa? The first chapter explains general social, cultural and political background of regionalism in Africa. The second chapter outlines the evolution of relations among the states of Africa and EU, examined on the basis of small steps in signing the agreements. The third chapter deals with the effectual formation of regionalism in Africa. The fourth chapter demonstrates the differences in approaches to regional integration in different parts of African region. This part compares two regional integrations and EU's attitude towards cooperation with them. The final chapter proposes the possible solutions of the most burning problems in Africa, through the conjoint process or with the help of the developed countries.
