The thesis is divided into two parts: a translation of the selected text from English into Czech and a commentary on it. The text is an excerpt from the chapter The Later Roman Empire of the article Ancient Rome, which was published in the online version of Encyclopedia Britannica. The commentary deals with an analysis of the selected text, the methods of translation, translation problems and translation shifts. The relations within a group of companies with regard to the compensation of damage withit the group

This thesis deals with the legal regulation of corporate group relations, especially compensation of harm resulting from a lawful act, compensation of economic loss and damages. These institutes are very often connected to other branches of law, which are above all insolvency law and financial law. Then they usually are connected to different areas of company law, for example piercing of the corporate veil, shadow director, wrongful trading and corporate governance. These other branches of law and other areas of company law are not corresponding to the topic of this thesis, so they will not be analyzed in this thesis. For more information about the above mentioned I refer to professional literature and journal articles. Next will be the analysis of the new commercial corporations bill in the light of the topic of this thesis, with the author's view on this bill. This bill was proposed to the government of the Czech Republic after a consultation on the draft bill in the year 2008, and the Government now is to discuss this bill. In the end there will be my own proposal on new changes of the corporate group regulation in the context of this thesis. Archive of photography of the czech television Ostrava (photography as a source of information)

This thesis focuses on photography in the work of Television studio Ostrava, a part of Czechoslovak television, during a period of 1969-1989, called normalisation, the reflection of this period after the year 1989 and mainly the photography archive of said institution. It may be presumed that communist propaganda and other efforts of normalisation will be apparent in the documentaries and other products concentrating on photography. The region of Ostrava also has its own cultural specificity due to its mainly industrial nature; the region is characterised by coal mining and metallurgy. Thus it may be presumed that communism will be planted in the minds of the people more firmly. The thesis also contains a theoretical framework, describing socialist realism in photography and normalisation in photography as well as in the television studio in question. In order to verify these hypotheses and to discover other important facts of the topic in question, a content analysis of data available in the archive of Television studio Ostrava was carried out. The archive suffered grave losses during major flooding of Moravia and Silesia in 1997. However, some films and many actual photographs were still available for analysis. Outline of the history of the elementary school in the Zlatá Koruna since 1918 to the dissolve of the scholl at the end of the 20. century

In this diploma-work we try to describe historical development of the basic Zlatá Koruna in the era between the years 1918-1998. That means the era after the fundation of the republick of Czechoslovakia tp the end of this institute in 1998. The main theme of this work is the exploration and interpretation of preserved archive documents, which inform us about history of examined institute in time of the 1. st. world war to the year 1998. This year, history of the school was closed. The theoretical part is based on provided publications concerning history of CZ, Austria-Hungaria principles and funccioning of the education in each epogue (season) of czech history of the school from the wide perspective. The rare consideration is placed on examination of, the influence of history of the state, the region of Český Krumlov, the Zlatá Koruna and surrounding villages which influed living og this school. So we try to describe everyday life of the school, which done from specificaly funcioning of the parished institute.

Vypracování investičního záměru na ekologické úpravy říční krajiny řeky Moravy v prostoru Mohelnické brány

Obsah závěrečné zprávy ke studii s názvem "Možnosti ekologických úprav podél řeky Moravy v Mohelnické brázdě s ohledem na ekologickou protipovodňovou ochranu" se týká perspektiv ekologické protipovodňové ochrany prostřednictvím rozsáhlejších revitalizačních akcí. Jsou zde prezentovány možnosti obnovy říčního kontinua a funkční říční krajiny. V rámci projektu byl řešen návrh optimalizace využití nivy Moravy, dále dostupné ekonomické nástroje k jejich realizaci a rovněž i majetkové poměry, včetně jednání s vlastníky a uživateli pozemků. Analýza možné optimalizace záplavového území je provedena na vhodných územích v nivě podél toku řeky Moravy nad Olomoucí, lze však předpokládat, že poznatky bude možné modifikovat a použít i při jiných projektech udržitelné protipovodňové ochrany a revitalizace říčních ekosystémů v rámci celé ČR. Zpráva obsahuje mapové přílohy, tabulky ekonomických a krajinných analýz, rovněž výpočet možného dosaženého rozlivu.

Aspekty výjimečného projektového manažera

Hlavním cílem práce je postihnout vlastnosti a schopnosti takových projektových manažerů, o nichž je možné říci, že jsou ve svých výsledcích výjimeční. Dílčím cílem pak je pokusit se nejprve analyzovat tyto aspekty vedoucích projektů z dostupné literatury a poté ověřit výsledky analýzy v praxi pomocí osobních interview. Vlastním přínosem této práce pro společnost je sestavení Testu rozpoznání výjimečnosti projektového manažera. Tento test by mohl sloužit v IT/ICT organizacích k rozpoznání potenciálu skutečné výjimečnosti u výběrových řízení.
