Bartáková, Adéla ; Labus, David (advisor) ; Sýkora, Jan (referee)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on rapidly changing position of Christianity during the Meiji period. Firstly, it adresses the arrival of Christian religion to Japan in the second half of the 19th century as well as the events connected with it. Secondly, it covers the status of Christians during the entire Meiji period, which was strongly influenced by both the Western civilization and the nationalistically leaning Japanese society.
